NOT JUST A NUMBER
A CORRECTION OF A FUNDAMENTAL ERROR
LYN: Okay, now. First of all is the subject of money, and Gerry will pay attention and will not say anything differently than we’re saying here, tonight, to anyone. Not to anyone. What we say tonight here, is what he will repeat, faithfully, without revision, in the coming days. This is essential! We’re going to get the LPAC budget up this week to $120-$125,000. Now, that’s not just a number. That is a correction of a fundamental error in judgment in most of the leading members of this organization, and others, over a long period of time. And any more of the shenanigans that have been going on now, will just not be tolerated.
Because: If we continue with the present policy of practice this organization will go out of existence in two weeks. Therefore, there will be no deviation as a matter of policy or practice from what I’m about to say. And the $120,000-$125,000 is key. Don’t say you have to achieve something else first. That’s what you have to achieve {first}. Otherwise, you’re not going to solve the problem. Anybody who thinks you can solve the problem in another way is an idiot and needs some kind of care.
Look: Our influence is not based on people doing heel and toe in the street. Our exposure in the street in some cases, is relevant. But that’s not the way we raise money. We raise money with the LPAC way. Now, what’s the LPAC way: If you want to raise money, you don’t talk to a member of the Senate or a member of the House of Representatives. That’s a stupid move. We have people who talk to these people, and we call them trained toads—that is , the people who talk to these guys, who call these Senators and Members of Congress toads. Because they can’t swim any more, since they crawled out of the swamp. They can only run around rhhuhh! rhhuhh! [laughter]
….
But you do this in a context, and the context is, the fact that society is organized around {organic leadership}. There was a funny character, a very complicated fellow, sort of a quasi-fascist socialist, Gramsci, in Italy. He’s very famous on this question, on the question of the organic leadership in the mass of the population, and his doing that caused a lot of attention to this concept, as opposed to the so-called ”top-down” highly structured organizational things. And so, that’s our ticket on this one.
If we drive in that direction—but what you have to do, is don’t put the quota out. You have the quota. The quota is to stir up enough to get that. And that’s how it works.
What we’ve been doing, it STINKS! It’s been stinking for a long time. I’ve been disgusted by it! We’re not organizing people! We call it “organizing,” it’s not organizing. You’re trying to get some money from some person—not organizing. Not creating a {movement}, a dynamic process in society! Aiming that process to the natural leaders, organically inside the mass of people, of the appropriate generations…. We’re providing leadership. We’re providing leadership, by looking at the structure of the natural form of leadership, existing in the society, how society is organized, by stirring it up. If you do that. It’ll work. And it will work rather quickly, if you stick to it—if you don’t slide back into the old ways of “well, there this, and there’s that.”
Don’t talk to anybody outside this leadership here, about this. Don’t make policy by discussing with somebody in some other region. Don’t do that. Because they’re pretty much demoralized by the situation they find themselves in now, on the question of policy. They tend to be desperate. And desperate people make mistakes out of desperation. Don’t be desperate. Aim for a goal: $120,000-$125,000 LPAC.
It’s the only way you’re going to succeed. Because, if you do not produce the manifestation of a movement, you’re not going to succeed, you’re going to fail. And the organization will fold up.
TONY: Don’t discuss what? I didn’t understand what you were just saying a second ago.
LYN: I mean, people want to discuss policies, and what happens, you get “whisper, whisper, whisper.” This organization has been run for a long time, by whisper, whisper, whisper.” You say, “we say our policy is this. But you know that’s not right. You know what we’re going to do is this. We’re going to say this because we’re going to make everybody happy by telling lies.” Hmm? “But then, we‘re going to have a secret agreement on what that really means,” which is quite different from what’s said on the surface. Hmm? That’s the way it’s done. [stage whisper] “We need money, we gotta get money from this – don’t tell Lyn! Just tell him this.” “Lie to him! Or don’t tell him what you’re doing!”
And people who do that, are going to suddenly find themselves very unpopular with themselves. They won’t like the scrutiny they’re getting. ‘Cause that’s where the problem is. We’ve had sections of the organization, behind-the-back whispering organizations, “this is what we’re doing, this is what we’re doing.” Now, the key thing in this – let’s go back to the dirty business which has to be emphasized again, to make it absolutely clear: The fraud against me, which was used as a fraud against others as byproduct against me was generated inside my own organization, around an organization called Computron. And it was scheme by some people: This is how Molly got into the business of what she did – I’d thought she ended up as a criminal -- what they did is they – . The idea was said in New York, by Gus Axios, Kalimtgis: “Well, you guys in the NEC, you’re not going to live in poor quarters any more. You’re going to have credit cards, you’re going to have this, you’re going to have that, so forth. You’re going to be fixed.” And the voice in this was Computron. “You can work for Computron. You get good salaries. This organization is going to fold up, and when it folds up, you’re going to be in a good position, because we’re going to {new businesses}! And the money is going to come from {businesses}, not from organizing, but from {businesses}!” Like from the business genius, the perpetual bankrupt; they practically had a dedication in The Bronx, of a revolving door in bankruptcy court especially for him to come in and out! This was the great “business genius”!
In the meantime, Gus Kalimtgis, had been involved, set up on the inside, in an arrest on a gun-carrying charge in New Jersey with a Federal arrest, in the Mountain Lakes area, Black Lakes. And therefore, he had been pressed, and he was in danger of going to prison, so the FBI turned him. But he was still a nominal leader of the organization, and he was working with an idiot Andy, and Andy was an idiot—he was called a business genius. While Andy’s business genius--just to give you an idea of what we were up against. I was in Europe because of an assassination plot against me by the National Security Advisor under the Carter Administration. And it was real. So what happened is, these guys took over, and what Andy did (he was no genius), what he did, he would go out and bid on contracts on computer programming jobs for companies, and he would bid below the market. Which meant he would bid so the job would cost him more to deliver than he would get from the contract agreement.
So, what he would do, he would get a job started, and he would be all hot and bothered about this, what a sexually great man he was—he screwed everybody. So then, what he would do, he would then go out and bid for bigger jobs, and do the same thing. He’d then grab more and more of our members, to work for this firm Computron. And he was running a credit scam. He was now making on the basis of the job, he was credit – he was looting our organization, together with another guy who was working for organized crime –was looting our organization.
So when I came back, this spoiled everything. I came back from the campaign, because I walked in, and Andy gave me this big sheaf of figures and I spent three or four hours looking through these things, and right from their own records, I saw what the whole scam was! So naturally, being me, I blew the scam the following day. And Kalimtgis went wild! Stormed out of the thing threatening to kill everybody in sight out of that meeting. Which led to the breakup of things. But in the meantime, what these guys had done, which is how this whole thing was done. See they committed a crime, including Molly Kronberg, committed a crime, an actual crime; but it was a crime against me, in this context. Because the theory was, that Computron was going to become the new organization, and that I would just be disappeared from the situation, and they wanted to get rid of me. So what Molly did, was take New Benjamin Franklin House, and they organized through Computron, a project for me to be told I would get $10,000 for royalty fees for things I had written for New Benjamin Franklin House. And I said, “Yeah, but there’s no money in there. I don’t see how you can do that. I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
‘No,” he said, “this is absolutely guaranteed. The money is there, there’s no question about it.” And he brought in a form which I had to fill out as a Presidential candidate. And also a tax return form. Okay.
Then, it was obvious to me, soon after that that was a fake. But in the meantime, in order to set this thing up, because the thing was to get me incriminated. What Molly did, she did it in January [1980], but predated the check to December ’79, but in the first week of January, she wrote out a check and signed it, in the book of New Benjamin Franklin House. Now, that action by her, was in itself, a five-year sentence Federal criminal offense. The thing was done by her, under Gus’s instructions, on behalf of Computron, to set me up. Right?
Now, things changed. But then, we had this case in Boston, and it became apparent to the Federal government who was doing the prosecution, that we were winning the case, before the jury. At that point, they went into a fit, and began stalling on the progress of the case, on the proceedings of the case. By which time, as it turned out, the jury had been totally won over to us, 100%. That is, 100% of the jurors were convinced it was a fraud against us. That the government case stunk. So the government stalled, and shut the operation down for a time, and then pushed the thing into a mistrial.
So, we had won the case, but we were hung by the mistrial. So then, what they did, is they went to Molly, because Molly had been interrogated in the process. And Molly had this check, which I didn’t know about until after ‘86] –never knew about this thing until then—and Molly was now subject to Federal presumptive conviction for five to ten years, depending on how they wanted to cut it. So she became a government witness. So what the government did, in order to get – knowing if we were going back to Boston for the retrial, we were going to win it, they saw the chance of getting us gone.
So they got Molly, and Molly was the key to the whole trial and keeping me from taking the stand, was also the key to the whole trial, by an operation to prevent me from appearing in controlling my own defense, through my own attorney, in the trial at Alexandria: They got the conviction, fraudulently. And it was all based on the fraudulent, lying testimony of Molly Kronberg.
So what had happened is, her criminality, in complicity with Gus and Company, in trying to set me up in 1979-1980, now was used to set her up! She was an idiot, to be set up that way. Because, she never presented the check to anyone! It’s in the book, the New Benjamin Franklin House checkbook. It was dated to 1979, but it was actually in the book {after} the beginning of 1980. So it was a double fraud. The double fraud was intended to be used against {me}, to get me shut down, because they were going to convert the entire organization into the Computron-related organization. That was the idea.
So her criminality in that case, obviously done by Gus and crazy Andy, their criminality in that case, was then used by the FBI, to blackmail her into fraudulent testimony against me! Because, as explained, that in a tax case – I had no tax case, and tax fraud didn’t exist. Because in my case, I had gone through every procedure with several attorneys, accounting specialists and so forth, and they said I had no tax reporting liability. None! And they all agreed.
So, in the case of the trial, if they had presented – If I had taken –if I had control of my own attorney, and by vote of the other defendants, I did {not} have control. So therefore, they were able to get by with it. Because if I had control of my own attorney, then I would have challenged, and ordered the challenging of Molly’s testimony. Because Molly’s testimony was the testimony on which the whole case depended. She said that I had told her to bury the check, in order – ’cause I could get income in other ways. That’s what she testified to, at trial.
What they did, is they had two things. They had her give her testimony, and she was very uncomfortable about it, but she did it; and then they surrounded that with interpretation, in which they got the whole story out – their story – and their story was, that I had committed a Federal tax fraud. And I had not! There was no danger of fraud tax. If they wanted to come after me under question of a tax, an IRS investigation, that was a civil case! Not a criminal case. If the truth had been presented at the trial in Alexandria, or before the trial, the case would have been thrown out of Alexandria and would have gone back to Boston. And the only reason anybody went to jail, was because of Molly Kronberg, in that sense.
But there’s more behind it than that, in fact, there was a set-up. She was complicit in criminality or criminal intent – and actual criminality—in 1979-1980, in this fraudulent operation against me which she was a key figure in. But then, the fact that this record of her fraudulent operation against me was then used by the FBI to tell her, “Lady, you got ten years in prison in front of you.” With that confrontation, she said, “Oh, oh, for Max’s sake I have to lie! I only do it for Max! I only do it for Max!” And she sent a lot of people to prison, not merely the defendants in that trial, but a number of state cases which would never have happened, but for that, including one for Larry—all happened that way.
And this protection of Molly on this thing, in the organization, was the rot, which weakened this organization at present, which is why I bring it up now. Because {until we get that rot out of our system, the Molly-rot, you’re not going to have an organization that’s capable of fighting.} And the truth about this case, from 1979 on, to the present , is the truth.
This was done – the government was obviously playing Gus, Gus had been taken over, because he had the Black Lakes problem. And they took him over, he was a government agent. But he was part of an operation which controlled Molly, and Molly became an accomplice of his. So Molly became a criminal. Then things changed, we got rid of that mess, there then.
But {then}, the FBI interrogating Molly, on a tip, probably from Gus…
NANCY: Absolutely. [crosstalk] was a collaborator…
LYN: Then, they squeezed her. They squeezed her, and she got caught in the own trap that she had set for me, back in ’79-’80. They used her. She lied, and the whole organization was screwed up, because some people in my own co-defendants went along with my not testifying! Not controlling my own case. And therefore, my own organization, including leading members of my own organization, sent me to prison, and themselves as well. Hmm?
LARRY: And Gus went on to a successful career as a sewage designer. [laughter] No kidding!
TONY: And now he has a new career.
LARRY: Oh, a new one?
TONY: He’s teaching Aristotle. [laughter, groans]
LYN: So, the point is – the organization has to understand the facts now. Because a lot of confusion has occurred, a lot of demoralization has occurred in the organization, as a result of the truth not coming out. And then people making apologies and denials of this reality: That Molly committed a criminal act against {me}. In 1979-1980. Whoever was behind it, like Gus, that’s an important factor, but the fact is, she committed a Federal crime against me.
And then this Federal crime that she did against me, was used to blackmail her to set the whole organization up, and then the pressure came on, by various cowards of my own associates, when I said “No!” I’m going on my own defense; I’m going to appear in this trial, on my own defense. And they said, “no.” And lies were spread among the other defendants to go along with that. They didn’t know they were being duped. When we got into prison and began to meet other in prison, we went through the thing, and figured out this aspect of the story. The whole thing was a fraudulent setup. But when you understand that, then you understand what the problem is.
Now, we’re in a situation, where my role here is, for the United States, and for civilization, happens to be personally very crucial. If you look at the crap we went through this afternoon, from the Russian side of this proposal---Tony was there—it’s absolutely insane! Unless what I’m doing {works}, there’s no hope for civilization right now! Because, no one seems to understand what to do! There’s some people who got an idea of what the problem is, and respect my authority in this matter. But unless I’m able {to influence this government} on the policy which must be introduced {now}, this nation and this civilization ain’t gonna make it! Because we’re headed right down the pit to a dark age! And it’s coming on this year, not next year! Right now. We’re on the verge of it, right now. And therefore, my authority is extremely important for civilization.
Anything that impairs my authority to do my job, has to be removed. With no compromise. And when I say $120,000 a week for LPAC, I mean it! I don’t want to hear any apologies why not. It’s going to be that! And that will work, if you do it right. And I’ve explained how you do it right.
You don’t go with the one at a time fundraising. Yes, you do that, but you don’t go with that, you don’t count on that. That doesn’t work. You have to get the mass factor behind you, {then} it will work. Because the income, otherwise, is just going to drop, lower and lower, and lower. And if you don’t get the LPAC going, it’s going to drop faster. So the idea you have to cut the LPAC back, because of something else, is a foolish mistake. Because it means you’re shooting yourself in the head, in order to try to save your foot. [laughter]
And this should be plainly explained to all the membership. Just do it. It’s all open. There are no secrets. That’s the fact! Tell the truth! Stop the lies, stop the evasions.
…
But the key thing is: Think about what the mission is. Think about what this business is, on method of operation: We’re doing mass organizing in the way I’ve described. Not massive, saying we need 50,000 people; you don’t need 50,000 people. You wouldn’t get anything done with 50,000 people that you couldn’t get done with 500 people. Really get done, in net effect. With 50,000, they’d trip over each other’s feet.
What you do, is you use the vehicle we have: We have an effective website operation in terms of the way it’s designed. It merely has to come up a little bit more in terms of performance, and it {has to be supported!} so it can do the job. We have to have more people on it, doing the work. And we have to produce more product, which means, some of this product is going t be one month, three weeks, two weeks, and so forth, to produce as it comes along. Some stuff is ready to go. So but you have to have a net effect of more than three a day.
And you’re going out for a mass audience on the most crucial issues—no bull**** issues, crucial issues—that attract the attention of the population, that they can understand {as issues}. What about the stealing? What about all these guys who are stealing all this money? The government bailed these things out with this TARP thing, and then they turn around and they go through Goldman Sucks, and pass out these bonuses. The government pays the money out, and the money goes out to private bonuses on the way. This has got people really angry! And that’s a theme we can handle right away on a website. This is what’s going on. It’s a story.
But we have to produce the stories, and we have to do it in the audio/video form. The audio/video form is the type that gets across. And the other thing will work: because if they accept you on the audio/video lead, then they’ll accept your written report. Because it’s information, especially short.
So that’s what we do—and we go like hell with that. And we get the impact immediately, because we need, in the next two weeks, we need to get the cash up! And this is the only way we’re going to do it. And we’re going to go full tilt! No apologies, no guessing games, no college tries. Burn down the universities, we don’t want any more college tries. We want results, not college tries. A college try is a guy struggling with a condom. [explosive laughter]
Well! It’s true. You got to get a smile out of him somehjow, you know? Will won’t smile unless you tell him a joke. You know, get a sense of freedom, you can say things.
So that’s what this game is. So we’ve got to get, in two weeks, change the mode of operation, on the basis of what we already have, and what we already know we’re doing. Just do it with more consciousness of what we’re doing, what the purpose is, how’re we doing it. Don’t get desperate: think about how you organize the population, and how you organize the raising of funds. If you can create the impression, that we’re doing through the website, as a single example, if we’re doing the things that are going to take the cause on, and get the result, we’re going to get support. And it will not be too hard to get the support. It’ll come in small denominations, but it can come with a lot of them. And you have to create that kind of atmosphere.
And you’ll take some of our – you know, we’ve got a bunch of people in the organization who are half-dead, I mean really, physically half-dead in terms of their ability to function. Serious illnesses, that sort of thing. And people who are morally ill, otherwise, and a little bit worn down, as well. So, among the Boomer generation, I’m still frisky, but these guys, in the younger generation are having problems, and therefore you have to understand that.
Now, they can’t do what they did before. They can not go out long hours, and so forth, and hammer things away. But if they’re intelligent, they can use their mind, to make intelligent actions rather than stupid ones. I mean a lot of stupid acetones, boring actions with no result, is not really performance. If they can work effectively and do the job in a couple of hours a day or that sort of thing, that’s good! And that’s as much as you can demand. But they can do it! And they have enough knowledge and enough experience in the past, that with good direction they can do it.
Some of them can’t. Some of them are really seriously ill, which is why we have this big health care problem, in terms of financing. Because we have so many sick people in the organization, that the health care charges are tremendous. So that’s the kind of situation we have. But if we look at that objectively and adopt the right programmatic perspective, we can make it work. And you guys know how to make it work—really do, instinctively, you just have to formulate the idea of what it is you’ve got to do. But the main thing, is center on the idea of motivating this population, by exciting the population; with a limited circulation of website product, but even that limited, will have an {international effect}. That’s what we do! We just have to get up to scratch, so you’re getting enough going so it’s not a half-hearted effect. It has to be a strong impact effect. And I’ve seen the product we’ve done recently: We’re ready to do it! And now is the time we need to do it.
That’s what I have to say.
