nuncio,
I hope this edifies you as much it did me.

Two days ago I was reading Jeremiah ch.24. The parallel is incredible and uncanny. The things that we have discussed as to the hows and whys are certainly not new under the sun.

In chapter 24 the Lord showed Jeremiah two baskets. One with very good figs, and one with very bad figs.

This king had lied, and oppressed the poor of the God's people. By covenant he had promised them many things and freedom that he later denied and stole from them.

Our Father, The Mighty God, who executes his judgment for the poor, had already pronounced his terrible wrath that was soon to come on the king and those that stood with him in his kingdom. Those that chose to stay God called bad fruit. So bad, it cannot be eaten. Filled with stench and rot.

That would be same as those who stay with Tony. Whether selling out for some position, or from fear of this man, it does not matter.

Later, in the chapter God speaks the same harsh judgements against those who knew that staying with the king was insane, but decided to go back to Egypt for refuge.

I am sure I don't have to explain "going back to Egypt" to you.

There was one basket left. This basket did not just have good fruit. It says the fruit was very good.

So, there are those who received the Word and built their faith in Truth of the gospel. Some of these may have been raped, abused, lied to, had their possessions stolen, or been cast off, as stones discarded.

But, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior has been a sanctuary and a refuge wherever they have gone, and God has given them a heart to know him.

I hope this strengthens you in your walk and your searchings. It certainly blessed me.

To clarify ahead of time. I don't believe Tony is a king. He does claim to be one though. So, whether by usurpion, or by calling, the shoe fits. Tho Lord has said explicitly he is cursing Tony. All that stand with him will cursed with him.

Lord bless, Tom
