Residents alarmed at security around Tony Alamo church

FOUKE, Ark. — Residents say they were barred from driving along a town street after evangelist Tony Alamo hired security guards to patrol property surrounding his church after someone shot a bullet through a window.

"No other church in Fouke has to have security guards," said Betty Mixon, the wife of Roger Mixon, pastor of the United Pentecostal Church and a Fouke city council member.

The Tony Alamo Ministries hired guards from R&G Securities after the shooting six months ago and residents said that, for a time, the guards prevented them from traveling on South Circle Drive.

"We've got it settled and its not going to be closed off," Fouke Mayor Cecil Smith said Monday. Alamo said Tuesday that guards have been ordered to stay at the end of the dead-end street and not stop anyone.

"We've asked them to just write down their license plate number," Alamo said.

Roger Mixon said several citizens complained to him about guards stopping them and being told that South Circle Drive belongs to Alamo.

""We feel like it needs to be an open street since the street is dedicated," he said. "Citizens should not feel threatened when they drive on a street."

Judy Frazier said she once drove up to Alamo's building to look at flowers on the grounds when she was stopped.

"At the top of the hill, the street was blocked off," she said. "I was shocked and concerned. A white pickup truck came out behind me and stopped me. He had a rifle or shotgun. He told me I had no business up there. I was livid, to put it mildly."

Alamo says the guards did not have guns.

Mike Brewer, pastor of the Calvary Holiness Church, said that on Aug. 22, "as soon as I pulled up to the street, a security guard came down and said his name was C. Johnson and told me I was on private property and to back down the hill. I told him it was a city street."

Alamo was convicted and served a federal prison sentence for evading federal income taxes. His ministry used to be based near Dyer and made money through the sale of expensive denim and rhinestone jackets.

Alamo left Dyer before a raid by federal marshals, who were to seize foundation assets to satisfy a $1.3 million federal court default judgment against Alamo in an alienation of affection and child abuse lawsuit brought against him by former foundation members.

Alamo said he was "railroaded" by backsliders.

Just a little history on the Fouke Monster:
"The Texarkana Gazette listed the Fouke Monster as one of the Top 100 things to love about Texarkana and the surrounding region.

To the Southeast of Texarkana, the little town of Fouke, Ark. is home to a very big legend, the Legend of the Boggy Creek Monster, aka the Fouke Monster.

People who claim to have seen it describe the creature as being close to 7 feet tall, with red eyes, black hair all over its body and a terrible stench that falls somewhere between that of a spewing skunk and a wet dog.

Though there were reported sightings as early as the 1940s, the legend of the Fouke Monster reached its heyday in the early 1970s."

That description sounds like Tony Alamo except for the part about being 7 foot tall. Tony is a shorty and wears elevator boots, so I guess that disqualifies him as the legendary Fouke Monster. Tony is the NEW Fouke Monster--beating, molesting, and raping little girls.

To those of you who seem to think that Tony Alamo and his followers are a church you are badly mistaken. If it was only the worshipping of Christ that took place in that building and on those grounds on Hwy 71 it would be looked at like allthe other churches here in Fouke. But when you move in to a small town as close knit as Fouke, an you go to triing pushing your beleifs on the people, you close off streets, make false accusation of gun fire at you property, and seem to be buying the Mayor and the city council, THEN there is a problem and people in Fouke will start to holler. Normally I wouldn't comment on this and I really wouldn't have done any more than pray to GOD (not Tony Alamo but The Trinity you know God, Jesus, and The Holy Ghost) But this hit on a personal bases. You see in the early summer of 1999 my husband having only been home from work a few minutes I saw a person walk in front of my living room window while they didn't come stright to the door they seemed to hesitate as if they should knock or knot about the time my husband went to open the door the person knocked. He open the door and there in my front door was as girl of about the age of 15. She was scared and troubled. She asked to borrow the phone to call a friend to come and get her. To make a long story short we took her to Texarkana to meet a friend but before we left we gave her our phone no. and told her to call us if she needed any help or her friend didn't show. We had no more than walked through the door when our phone rang and ir was her. So we loaded our 7mo old son back in the car and went back to Texarkana(a 30 min. drive one way).We went to a local fast food place to feed my husband and we feed her too, we told her that if she wanted us to help her she had to tell us the truth. This is when she told us that her parents had brought her here from CA and left her with these people and they wouldn'tlet her call her parents, and that they wer enot nice. We brought here back to our home let her stay the night, I finally talked her into calling her mother which she had not wanted to do, I understand why now, we bought her a bus ticket,travel stuff (pillow, snacks,etc.) gave her some money to eat on and sent her to her parents only to be put out on the street, because she had left Alamo's compound in Fouke. She walked 2 miles throught the woods,hiding from the white vans that drove around looking for her when she got to close to the road and seen them. She had been beaten by Alamo and his followers for triing to call her parents. Her parents turned her out wit $50.00 and a choice of JDC or the street, or Alamo. Her parents turned their backs on her for leaving the Alamo compound. These are his rules. At 15 this child forged her way through life. She returned to her family in IL that was not part of Alamo, and she lived and survived. She joined a real church and has went on with her life. But it nearly cost her her life. Alamo preaches that parents are to turn their children Daughters mainly over to him that this is a honor foe them and their children. This is when he takes them as his wife. It is said thathe like them around age 12 its good, If you work out side th ecompound you bring your check to him and he provides for you and pays your bills. The bible has that GOD will provide not Tony Alamo. God made us in HIS image, but HE also so gave us FREE WILL. Alamo followers are not allowed free will. You do as HE says or what he says god tells him to order you to do. I 9 years you have to cry for the children who lost their innocence to this monster. He is as the bible says a FALSE PROPHET. He uses the bible and GOD to line his pockets and have his way with little girls. Fouke we need to stop him before he its to late.

Every priesthood(much like the bureaucrats of our time)had a function in the running of governments(their main function was to keep con-trol of the people and make them hardworking good little con-sumer/producers, while the royalty lived the good life).

He recorded the deeds of men and later became associated with law, sometimes as the judge. He had the repository of knowledge and "various magic formulae" necessary to carry the world from one world(age)to the next. Up until the release of the printing press, all knowledge and writing was in the hands of priests and a few of the nobility; So the mass knew nothing of their own history and past except what was handed down by the priesthoods. Clerk, as in book-keeping comes from cleric, a priest-scribe. The conspiracy underground would have you believe it all started with 18th century France, or the English Revolution, but the Truth is we were hi-jacked long, long ago.
Perhaps that gives food for thought and maybe answers the question about who writes and re-vises history.

Tony Alamo ordered my brother to be beaten (Bob Streit was the one who hit him) 140 times with a board. He got 70 swatts at a time. All for likeing a girl. His butt was bleeding when we got home. I will never forget that.

The following are just some of the names I can recall of people who were beaten at the orders of Tony Alamo at the "Spec house' on the ridge in Arkasas back in the late 80's. Aaron Willis, Tylon Willis, Sevon Green, Eric Ondersak, Johnny Way, My self - Jared Balsley, Carrissa Curry (for having epileptic ceasurs), and Rodney Pryor. Even the Texakana Gazette has been running stories saying that the Town of Fouke and the City Council is in some sort of uproar about Alamo. Hey, UTR, what's up with that????

Hope you've been keeping up with what's happening too. Why are you ignoring all the responses to your little threat about bringing a law suit against people for telling the truth about Tony Alamo being a sexual predator and a child beater? I am laughing my a$$ off about this defamation of character suit threat! First, the things said would have to be FALSE. Second, Tiny would have the entire Catholic Church suing his a$$ because of all of the defamatory things he says about them in his literature – which is a blog on paper. PLUS, all of the people he has slandered on his radio broadcasts…let’s not even go there. This piece of garbage would have to be as stupid as a doorknob to even attempt it. He is living proof that man can live without a brain for God’s sake! A walking miracle!

I can only assume he thinks to silence his critics by posting the possibility of a defamation suit on this site, as well as his own site. He needs to consider the possibility that this thing may backfire and someone may sue his saggy a$$ for all of the defamatory things he has said about the ex-members and then he broadcasts those lies on the internet and radio. Remember Tiny, the lies that come from your mouth can easily be proven FALSE but you will have an impossible time proving that the things posted here or anywhere else on the internet are not true – since they are truth in it’s purist form. Besides, if he even went through with it he probably would not show up in court. He has a history of running. He may have outran the child abuse cases until the little boy who charged him was an adult and dropped the charges so he could move on with his life – I mean, seven years is a long time to be in and out of court without the case going anywhere because the prime suspect is in hiding. I guarantee you that this time would be different and all of Tiny’s dirty laundry would be aired and he wouldn’t’ be able to show his face anywhere in this country without being pointed at and laughed at.
