I just wanted to have a thread that dealt with anything. We have many threads all about phoney a-lame-O, so this one is for discussing ideas and thoughts and subjects that we get discouraged from talking about on the other threads. How about we just pick a topic and you give your thoughts and personal point of perspective. Who would like to start???

chris have you ever read the book Illusions by Richard Bach
its a fantastic adventure story. and it presents a totally new and intelligent perspective about reality. the coolest thing about it is its just a story so theres no need to defend it or make it something its not. however i like to explain it like this. imagine that you walk into a completely white room. all the walls are white the floor and ceiling are white, and there is a thin layer of dust on the floor. there is a broom over in a corner of the room. so you take the broom and sweep the floor, until the whole room is completely white again. illusions is the broomhttp://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/wink.gif

hey thanks man! I am always interested in new books, will definitely check it out. If you are a steven king fan....I highly recommend the dark tower series. The first book is kind of boring, but the next six are really quite good. Of if you want to be freaked out, read Geralds Game by Mr. King. Ughggg really weird.

Dark tower is hard to explain, but it does involve some kind of power. I don't know if I would call it majik or not. The series is (I think) the best I have ever read. The end will blow you away! The wheel of time, eh? I wondered if that was good. Will have to check it out.

Hey Eric, Here is a yahoo group that I found that you might be interested in. It is called Treason

This guy has collected info on just about everything. It is worth a browse once in awhile, check out the messages. There are very many of them, but the best (in my opinion) are the ones collected from the Rense.com site. Well, enjoy!

Funny thing...ok not really funny, lets say strange.
Throughout history, wars have been started by kings, nobles, rich people in power; who convince, coerce, and or bribe the poor, and lower class, uneducated masses to fight battles that never have anything to do with the ideals and hype that the elitist pigs in power tell the armies that the war is about. Take any war in history! If you were to dig deep enough, you would find that it was either about greed, pride, arrogance, or hatred.
And yet every time, the people who actually fight the wars, always fall for some story about how God wants them to kill this other army. Or how they are "liberating" some country or another. You would think that people would eventually learn.....

most people want to be told what to do because they got beat into shape when they were kids and are afraid to act out on their own. you have to fight for true freedom of choice in your own life and then you realize happiness. i think weve come a long way buddy. i wish more friends from our past would hurry up and get here. but whatever im surrounded by people who love freedom just as much as me and its cool that a few on this board do

ok, here is another subject for thought.
Where did Jesus ever set up the modern church way of "christianity"?? I don't see it in any of his teachings. Yes, He encouraged us to fellowship with other beleivers; and to seek a greater understanding of God the Fathers will by constant communion with Him. But where did He suggest, command, or otherwise setup the idea that one man should have no job but that of "leading" Jesus' flock? Didn't He say that His sheep hear his voice and another will they not follow? Even paul, who the modern churches like to quote even more than Jesus, was not a "pastor"; yes, he did travel around setting up fellowships, but he was a tentmaker by trade. He was not supported financially by the people he brought to Christ, he supported himself.
He didn't pass around the offering plate for the "building fund" (which really is meant to line the pastors pockets.) Why do pastors keep the service going for an hour or two? Did you ever notice how when God tells you something, he quickens your spirit, and it only takes a split secound for the understanding to flood your heart. anyway, talk amongst yourselves. I have got to run to work. Later

jesus is an inspirational story of what we are suppose to aspire to be. take for instance i want to sing with as much control as maynard of tool, or dave mathews. if i started saying thank you dave mathews praise you dave mathews please let me be like you. come into my heart lord maynard. its most likely these guys would get disgusted with my
beggar attitude, because they are pretty egoless. they would either spit on me, or if they felt like it maybe they would say "you can do it to man, dont worship me, i had to work to get this far and so do you" you see its in the doing not the wishing that we become what we want. people who profess christianity usually are not doing what they want. they are doing what they think they have to do to get to this heaven they think is in the afterlife. they miss their chance on this earth because they want freedom from choice not freedom of choice. if you break everything down to atoms, energy never dies it just changes form. (reincarnation) the bible tells about reincarnation in a few instances Jesus and John the baptist were Elisha and Elijah. i think its cool how they were always so humble and promoting the other friend. Jesus said there is not a greater prophet among men. and John said here is the the man u seek. it was a very cool comradary.
all of Jesus professing followers are simply beggars that jesus would ignore or tell to go work on themself.

Question: what is the single most commonly occuring substance in the universe?
It can be found everywhere, there is life.
It has to be present in order for a star to be born. It takes on the molecular signature of anything it touches. Without it nothing can live.......Water.

Football....Now there is an american pastime that is quite a contradiction, in my opinion.
First: Quasi-intelligent men who get paid overly large sums of money (that could be better spent on adequate and safe housing for disaster victims, rebuilding americas' ghettos, feeding starving children, rehabilitating the sick and injured, or even buying food and clothing for those in need) to 'play' a game.

Secondly: For a fan base that is primarely made up of heterosexual males, the attraction to the game seems suspect. It is a bunch of buff meatheads wearing skintight spandex chasing each other around, tackling and wrestling each to the ground, and swatting each other on the behind after they "score". And that's just what happens on the field! Next comes the locker room; where these men get naked, take communal showers, pop towels at each others assez, and compare sick and demoralizing stories of sexual conquest. Sounds almost like something that you would find in a bathhouse in the Castro District (Gay capitol) of San Francisco.
Yes, these men make sick amounts of money, can have any and all the sex they want, and are idolized by millions around the country, especially by our children! These players are more worshipped than God! And yet we have churches who pray on sunday for God to bless their team in the days game. I am soo sure that God cares one whit about this activity!

01-05-2006, 01:13 PM
Ok Chris I gotta touch on this football thing. First I have to say...."Hook 'Em Horns!"
Ok the game I'm sure Eric was referring to is the Rose Bowl. That is a bowl game that college kids play to determine the championship. Those kids don't get paid a dime. And if they do they are out. Those are strict rules. Also my brother played college ball for 3yrs. I assure you he didn't get paid anything. My parents sure did pay out of pocket for him to play though and that was with a partial scholarship. Ya we got into the games. But when you come from where we came from its exciting that he got to be involved in something other than rhinestoning jackets. If my dad was praying before a game it was to ask God to protect Donny from getting hurt or even killed. And of course we want them to win. If they make championship games the schools get more money to help with the school needs. None of the players get that money. But I don't like any reference to the whole gay thing and football. My brother is very passionate about football. Anyway we couldn't be more proud of him. I bet if Lil Man wants to play when he's older you'll let him. And if he goes pro I doubt you'll complain about the money then. I hope you wouldn't hold him back from playing sports 'cause thats not something you're into. I could talk about this forever but I won't.
Much luv Chris.....
Kim

My post was not meant to be personal. Those who play a 'game' for the love of playing, have the right idea. I am sure that your brother played because he loved to. I remember when we used to play on the ridge, that was a blast!
I was referring to the pillar that sports has been raised to in the eyes of the american people, and the world. Yes college kids may not get paid in dollar amounts; but how many of them play on scolarships? They don't have to pay for school, board, food, etc... because they play. How many college athletes get more dates because they play? While they may not get paid in money, that does not mean they receive nothing in return. I have had many friends in college who told me that the girls that went around with would have never given them a second look if they were not athletes. As for the reference to the whole gay thing, well let's just say this. If there was no football involved, how many men would continue to watch men in tights chase each other around?
Yes if my son chooses to play a sport, I will not tell him he can't. But I will also show him the other side of it. Much love in return.

You know how it is in our family, we talk about any and everything. I invariably will start a conversation with someone, and it will be something they aren't comfortable talking about, or feel strongly about but don't discuss with people who have different views on that subject.

Thank-You Kim for defending Texas and our brother. Chris what do you have to say about basketball - now that is a true sport! GO SPURS GO! However, we did have the Saints play here for a few games, because of Katrina. My husband and I went to one and sat on the 40 yard line - it was pretty cool. But I have to say going to a Spurs game is my favorite. I went a few days before Christmas because we had floor seats and I loved it! Ok, I see I touched a nerve here. When did I come against Texas or your brother? I was commenting on the social condition of the american people, who idolize and make a game into an all encompassing religion. As I am sure that is not you, the post was not directed at you.
Basketball is a great game! One that I spent time playing as a teenager. I also liked football, however what I did not like was when some took it too far. Who has seen those little leage parents that we all say that will never be us? You know, the ones who are more into it then their kids, who are playing the game. The ones who scream at the coaches, make a huge deal about winning and losing, and seem to forget the entire point. Which is, getting kids together with their friends to PLAY. The chance for the kids to interact with each other, get some exercize, sunshine, and fresh air.
In my post, I was trying to convey the idea that I think sports is put on a pedestal; that we teach our kids from an early age to always be competing. They see these sports stars, and the lifestyles they live, the way they behave, and they want to emulate them. For instance, if you personally knew Kobe Bryant, and you knew the truth about his behavior and attitudes towards women (supposing he is guilty, I mean) would you want your kids thinking that he is a good role model? I used to think that Michael Jordan was an all around nice guy. No argument here, he was the best player I have ever seen. But a friend of mine who worked the front desk at a ritzy hotel in Los Angelos where many NBA players stayed while visiting, that one of the first things almost everyone one of them asked about was the female escort service. These are the men that we as americans offer up as role models to our young impressionable boys.
starksk (starksk)
01-06-2006, 08:11 PM
Chris to be totally honest.....you really didn't touch any nerve. I was just messin with you and so is Rose. I agree that players get paid alot of money and there are parents out there that push it on there kids that have no desire to play. In our case my brother being 6'4" and 260lbs or something at 14yrs old attempted to play basketball and then switched to football (his choice). So of course we just all went with it. He was huge and made a great offensive lineman. He is also very smart and had great grades in high shcool along with great looks so he got a scholarship handed to him and he went with his dream. My mom cringed every time he got hit, and of course my dad screamed with manly joy. I don't know if thats society or just a dad proud of his son for deciding to play football and not joining the chess team. Unfortunately my brothers knees are jacked up now and no pro-football in site for his career. But we are still proud of him and we just love to brag about him, so when I saw you talking about money and naked guys slapping towels on each other butts I just had to make it clear that my brother did not get paid only educated and my parents didn't push but vise versa and he is surely not gay. Its all good. And Rose just likes to brag cause she gets all these good seats to different sports venues, especially Spurs games. I'm a SPURS fan but she REALLY is. And she doesn't care for football as much so that why she was saying that. So again.....its all good. I hate to admit it, but you are right. Although I hope my son grows up to be the quarterback for the Raiders or 49ers or even the Titans and then gives his Momma some of that lute.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif Remember son, mommy loves you more than anyone in the world.....he,he,he,he

Lenore was cool too. or is it Aunti Norsky (i have no idea how to spell that)

Hey girls, Tophr here. No offense taken or intended.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/proud.gif I sometimes have to get on the soapbox, I can't help it I guess.
Yeah, all that stuff is true....but it is really fun to play those sports....I miss playing soccer on the ridge! Eric, remember when you goalied and we got all bothered because you wore those god-awful hiking boots that we got on donos? I think we were really just worried about running into your kicks.
Anyway, all done on the soapbox, y'all take it away from me and don't let me back on it for awhile.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/kiss.gif
Well, gotta go to bed now, it was a long crazy night on the beach. (hiccup) hehe heehee

Yea, I do remember bert. He is doing really well, has 3 beautiful little girls, and together with all of his brothers again.

yeah, we were notified about this site but we have better things to do with our time. right now, we're trying to really make the bush administration look good because their big time murderers and drug dealers and so it takes ALL our effort just to keep tying up loose ends and keep alot of pressure on all sorts of alternative media from telling the truth. matter of fact we nailed a few of them over in iraq, made it look like insurgents. it's great over there we can get away with all sorts of atrocities.
you know, but anyway, tony alamo, we're too busy for him and too many of you are known to be insane. A few of you have been committed and several have admitted to using drugs and being total drunks and it's quite a common thing for disgruntled ex members of any particular group to come against them with phony allegations etc. no, tony's been cleared. And if your wondering how we're here right now sending this message we constantly have employees scanning these types of boards for anyone using mentioning "FBI, CIA, SS, etc." So hope everyone has a great day!!

Thanks Jody for finding one of the-fbi's first posts. I knew I had seen his id before, however I didn't have time to look for it.
The above post shines a light on the reason he, (The_FBI) feels the need to defend Tony Alamo, it is because he is a liar just like Tony.
"special internet unit -"FBI" lol!
FBI in his case is the acronym for "fooled, brainwashed individual -- fbi
Don't be so foolish to believe that the feds are not watching Tony and building a case against him. Tony was caught off guard when they filed federal tax evasion charges against him. Tony was convicted of tax evasion and went to federal prison for years!
The feds knew Al Capone was a gang leader and had been involved in many crimes, They went for the sure thing, tax evasion!
Sounds like the same tactic the feds took concerning Tony Alamo. His lying on his tax returns was a sure thing, they didn't have to spend years in court with he said, she said,. However the abuse, rape, polygamy etc were brought up in the court room and are a matter of public record, The courts and the feds know Tony is guilty of everything that he has been accused of, but they went after the sure thing - tax evasion- and they won, Tony lost!
For sure no angel came and delivered Tony out of prison like Peter.

For your information, phony -lame-O, I was on that bus and Mrs. B was not. Her son never threw the fruit out of the window (btw, it was an orange, not a grapefruit....yeah, you sure got the facts straight....geez you are really reachin!) Jared was in the front of the bus, and the person who threw it was in the back of the bus. So, once again, you prove that you are an ignorant, crass, contentious (isn't that supposed to be a sign of homosexuality, according to phony's new religion?) and are really wasting your time and energy.

heres an idea that could dethrone christ for all of you sheep but im sure it wont because your assemblage points are so fixed.
jesus was a bassturd son. thats why they made up the story of being impregnated by the holyspirit because mary was a loose woman. joseph wanted to kill her for committing adultery on him but a sorcerer came to him in his dream and warned him against it. of course this makes him just like you and me but thats to hard to believe that someone like you and me could make it as far as he did. so keep worshipping him and living boring lives if thats what you want.

your whole bible is full of contradictions and contrived stories.
your god is so confusing that you have to study over and over and over to try to understand a point that is silly and worthless.
i wonder what would have happened if you read tolkien before the bible.
youd probably be worshipping him or gandalph right now because you are a moron.
if gods word is the same yesterday today and forever why are there so many versions and which one is right. uuhhhh i think the kjv is right, no no the niv, you and your kind are so double minded you are caught in the middle.
fhuck your god and your christ
he did this took all you had and
left you this way
stood and prayed never strayed
never taste of the fruit
never thought to question why
its not like you killed someone
its not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
talk to jesus christ as if he knows the reason why
he did it all for you

this is the real problem with humanity today
no god no devil just this simple fact
he that has ears to hear let him hear
"We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don't do so...I have been beating around the bush all this time, insinuating to you that something is holding us prisoner. Indeed we are held prisoner!
"This was an energetic fact for the sorcerers of ancient mexico... They took us over because we are food for them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. Just as we rear chickens in chicken coops, the predators rear us in human coops, humaneros. Therefore, their food is always available to them." "No,no,no,no," [Carlos replies] "This is absurd don Juan. What you are saying is something monstrous. It simply can't be true, for sorcerers or for average men, or for anyone."
"Why not?" don Juan asked calmly. "Why not? Because it infuriates you?... You havent heard all the claims yet. I want to appeal to your analytical mind. think for a moment, and tell me how you would explain the contradictions between the intelligence of man the engineer and the stupidity of his systems of beliefs, or the stupidity of his contradictory behaviour. Sorcerers believe that the predators have given us our systems of belief, our ideas of good and evil, our social mores. They are the ones who set up our hopes and expectations and dreamsof success or failure. They have given us covetousness, greed, and cowardice. It is the predators who make us complacent, routinary, and egomaniacal."
"But how can they do this, don Juan?' [Carlos] asked, somehow angered further by what [don Juan] was saying. "Do they whisper al that in our ears while we are asleep?"
"No, they don't do it that way. That's idiotic!" don Juan said, smiling. "They are infinitely more efficient and organized than that. In order to keep us obedient and meek and weak, the predators engaged themselves in a stupendous manoueuvre-stupendous, of course, from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous manoeuvre from the point of view of those who suffer it. they gave us their mind! Do you hear me? The predators give us their mind, which becomes our mind. The predators' mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now."
"I know that even though you have never suffered hunger... you have food anxiety, which is none other than the anxiety of the predator who fears that any moment now its manoeuvre is going to be uncovered and food is going to be denied. Through the mind, which, after all is their mind, the predators inject into the lives of human beings whatever is convenient for them. And they ensure, in this manner, a degree of security to act as a buffer against their fear."
"The sorcerers of ancient Mexico were quite ill at ease with the idea of when [the predator] made its appearance on earth. They reasoned that man must have been a complete being at one point, with stupendous insights, feats of awareness that are mythological legends nowadays. And then, everything seems to disappear, and we have now a sedated man. What I'm saying is that what we have against us is not a simple predator. It is very smart, and organized. It follows a methodical system to render us useless. Man, the magical being that he isdestined to be, is no longer magical. He's and average piece of meat."
"There are no more dreams for man but the dreams of an animal who is being raised to become a piece of meat: trite, conventional, imbecilic."

Jack: I've done it. I fhuckin' did it.
The most powerful tool in singing technology since yodelling, dude.
Oh my god, inward singing.
Kyle: What?
Jack: Check it out, it's an invention.
And it makes non-stop rocking possible.
(shouts) think about it man!
Rock singers are only rocking you half of the time!
The other time they're...they're... they're...
breathing! In!
But not anymore, baby! hahahahaha!! Not with inward singing, check it out!
Jack sings inwards, then outwards. while doing this, he sings:

I'm like a fhucking one-man band

And I can sing like that all fhucking night!
Kyle: ...Wow....It wasn't really non-stop though, there was a slight...
Jack: (shouts) Arrgh, shut up! It is non-stop!
And the other thing is, that when I'm fhuchin' singing in, it sounds even better!
Than when I'm singing out! Shut up! Fhuck you! You fhucking dick!
Always nay-saying...everything I create! You piece of ****e! You fhucking sit in your tower! Fhucking nap...
Kyle: (laughing)
Jack: What's funny??.... You fhucking biche! Fhucking...fhuck you!
Fhuckin'...calkass!!!
(Jack pauses for a minute to breathe)
Jack: You're fired from the band.
Kyle: Um, that won't be necessary, Jack.

Kyle: I'm quitting.
Jack: What?
Kyle: I quit.
