Tony did change his name after he was saved but not legally. He changed his name when he was in hiding to Harvey Cochran.

Harvey was a brother who got permanently disabled in a car wreck while out distributing Tony's literature. He had been at the foundation for about 20 years. After he was injured Tony didn't want to pay for his care so he dumped him in a nursing home and abandoned him. He said he was a weasel for having the accident. That's Tony's idea of Christian love.

Then Tony stole his ID when he went into hiding.

Nancy Ross says, "On July 5, 1991, Alamo was "captured" in Tampa, Florida where he and other church members openly operated a hardware store and family-style restaurant."

The coward was openly going under the name of Harvey Cochran and using Harvey's ID. Again this is indisputable fact that is backed by arrest records and court records. He was not going around under his own name like Nancy alleges.

Have you noticed the pattern yet. Everything Tony accuses everyone else off he is actually guilty of himself. The evidence he uses against them is based on hearsay and unprovable allegations. But God has arranged for the evidence against Tony to be 100% verifiable by sworn court testimony or other public records.

Of course Tony will say it's all a Vatican or Can plot blah, blah, blah. But think about this.

What are the chances that all these people from around the country are CAN members or Jesuit priests. You've got Jury members in Memphis, police officers in Tampa, a truck sales company in Arkansas, a bankruptcy court, his own website, a book written long before he got saved, a car dealer in Nashville, his own tax returns etc. The list goes on and on. They can't all be plants working for CAN or the Vatican but that's what Tony keeps saying. It's like a broken record. Just read Nancy Ross's story.

Not to mention dozens of people who have personally known him and have seen real atrocities far worse than anything mentioned here.

He wants to know why I don't talk about the altar calls full of souls with tears streaming down their faces. Because that hasn't happened over there in almost THIRTY years. That's why. All he has now is 15 year old testimonies from Chalais and Demoulin. It's pathetic. The scribes and pharisee's searched land and sea and got a proselyte. Tony's so pathetic he searches land and sea but can't come up with a new proselyte in 15 years.

Tony did destroy the foundation. It says so right in the Nancy Ross story. Tony gave up 52 million dollars worth of the Lord's property to the devil. Property that God had given to the church to use in winning souls that Christ died for. Tony gave it all away in a fit of uncontrollable rage when he had a little boy beaten 140 times with a 2 by 4. And when he lied on his tax return.

The bible says "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:" that's why the Lord took away everything he had and threw him in jail.

We helped him to cover his sin that's why we ended up on the street as well. But we took heed to the second half of that scripture, "whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy" and Tony hardened his heart to it.

Tony is still covering up these sins decades later. I know many of the people posting for him are doing so because they are coerced. The Lord knows that and will have mercy. But some of you are grown men and women who know better and are in a position to stop what's going on just by going to the police and reporting it. There is no statute of limitations on child molestation. That's why all these catholic priests were busted 20 and 30 years after their crimes. It will never be too late to report this stuff until Tony is in the grave.

His greatest claim to fame is a bunch of letters from foreign countries from people who've never even met him. He writes tracts and preaches messages about stuff he doesn't practice anywhere but in his own mind.

Susie always used to say "if you want to know how to do something ask someone who's never done it." That about fits the bill for Tony's tracts.

I am sure that even God is cringing at this so called Christian language and behaviour that you alamo supporters use.
Probably even Tony would be disappointed in you because for an outsider to sit and read all of this, they would definately not believe that a leader who allowed his followers to speak and behave in such an outrageous and rude manner would be a leader led by God.

All the time that you spend trying to convince outsiders how righteous and godly Tony Alamo is, is blown to bits by all your nasty posts.

Seriously think about it from a mature point of view if you will. The Alamo supporters are the ones trying to prove that Tony is led by God and that everyone else is just trying to destroy Tony, for whatever reason.

If you, alamo supporters, had never heard of Tony Alamo, and you were seriously trying to get some sort of answers about whether or not he was truly led by God, would you find what you are saying very convincing?

I know you will come back at me with something rude, at this point I expect nothing less, but I think that if you really search your heart, deep down you know this is true.

If you truly believe that Tony is who you think he is, then do you not think that he is capable of defending himself?

And if you are truly worried about someone getting turned off from following Tony because of what the non-supporters are saying, consider this: If Tony really is chosen by God and God wanted to choose someone to be a follower of Him through Tony, do you not have enough confidence in God to see his will be done regardless of what is said on here?

Why don't you let God and Tony fight this battle instead of coming on here and making Tony and his ministry look like such an unattractive ministry?

Please really give this some consideration. Right now things don't look too attractive and as a "mostly" outsider, I have to tell you ... they ain't getting any better.

I have very little time to be on this corrupt message board because I work for the Lord and can’t waste much time on this, so I have to get everything out that I have to say at once so bear with me for just a little longer. Then I’m out of here. (For the record, Tony doesn’t even know I’m writing this. I have access to the internet and post what I want when I want.)

I want to get another thing straight. I am here in this church not because I was born here but because the Lord has shown me personally beyond any doubt that Pastor Alamo is of the Lord, not because I was told he was. I only listen to the Lord, not to human flesh.

Most of the children that were in the church were here because their parents were and because it was all they knew. But some of us had had real experiences with the Lord and had a closeness with the Lord that went beyond just being in the church. After the government had the church property raided the property and kicked us all out onto the streets, we all went to make livings for ourselves. Some families stayed in touch with the church and tithed but some didn’t. I’m ashamed to say ours didn’t. We had the chance to live the way you all are living now. Some people loved it and chose it rather than a life of self denial, which is what we are commanded to live. But I was miserable out there. I always talked to my family about wanting to get back to the church. I hated it out there. My flesh may have liked some of it, but I knew I wasn’t right with God. No matter how much I tried to serve Him out there, I just couldn’t. There were so many things to distract me from serving the Lord. It was impossible to keep the first and most important commandment, which is love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The Lord kept dealing with me to get back to the church. It wasn’t anything Tony told me. As a matter of fact, I never talked to him, and I rarely heard his message tapes. It was just between God and I, the Lord dealing with me like He had so many times before. (I know when God’s dealing with me.) I couldn’t sleep at night because I knew I wasn’t where God wanted me. I lived like that for years. I couldn’t bring myself to just leave my family and go back even though I wanted to so badly. To make a long story short, my family finally came back to the church. This time I was blessed with the opportunity that I never had before while growing up in the church (none of the children did, they only heard from other people, “Tony said this, Tony said that” most of which Tony never said. You all remember the cruelty to the children brought on by the likes of Dale and Cindy Garris and many others. All of which Tony was very angry about when he heard, and these adults were not allowed to be in positions of taking care of children anymore). This time I got to work around Tony because I worked in the church office. This is when I found out for myself (not taught by anyone else) that he truly is a prophet of the Lord. I have witnessed personally him praying over many, many people (I would never be able to give an amount because it’s such a common occurrence) and they were healed instantly. I’ve seen him, many times, be warned from the Lord to leave somewhere and he, of course, obeyed right away, as he always does, and each time it is manifested why the Lord had him leave—once an earthquake, once a flood, etc.—too many times to mention if I want to finish this tonight. (I’ve got other things to do. I do have a life.) Many times someone will be worried because they think something is really wrong with them or they think something bad is going to happen, and the pastor prays and the Lord tells him everything is okay. And sure enough everything was okay. In fact, that just happened today. Then other times something would happen and it seemed in normal circumstances that it would be no big deal and the pastor says the Lord is warning me about this. This person needs to go to the hospital or do this or do that, and it turns out if they wouldn’t have followed the Lord’s instructions through Tony there would have been a death or something really bad would have happened. I can give two examples. 1) A boy fell out of a tree. Everyone one was just treating it like a minor accident because no one actually saw him fall out of the tree and he had no sign of something seriously being wrong with him. He said he was fine and was already feeling better. When the pastor found out it the Lord instructed him to get him to the hospital right away. They drove him there, and when they got him to the hospital they gave him an MRI and he was bleeding behind the skull, causing his brain to be pushed to the left. They had to operate right away, and everything ended up fine. But the doctors kept commenting that if he hadn’t been brought in as soon as he was there would have been brain damage or death. But because of Tony’s constant with the Lord and they got him to the hospital so fast, he had a very successful surgery and very quick recovery. Of course, Tony gives all the glory to the Lord. 2)There was a woman having twins in the church. The one baby had come and the midwives were just waiting for the other to come. It had only been a little while. Pastor Tony was studying and writing, and he came out right in the middle of writing and said, “The Lord’s telling me to take her to the hospital right away or she and the baby will die. Of course they acted immediately on his instruction, and the doctor had to rush her into an emergency C-section because they said the woman’s womb was closing up with the baby still inside. Again they kept saying that if she wouldn’t have gotten there when she did both her and the baby would have died.

There have been so many times that I have been going through something and never told anyone. I just prayed to the Lord about it, and the same day the Lord will give Tony a message or have him say something that will be exactly what I needed to hear at that time. There was no way he would’ve known unless he was hearing from the Lord. I’ve had a thought come across by brain, and just as it was going through my brain, he told me what I was thinking. These are things that no one can argue with because I know for a fact that they are true, and these are a few of the reasons that nothing you all say will convince me that Tony is not of the Lord. I haven’t even mentioned the obvious: the millions of souls he has won to the Lord. “By their fruits ye shall know them” (Matt. 7:20). “He that winneth souls is wise” (Prov. 11:30). So he that wins the most souls must be the wisest. You would do well to listen to him.

There’s so much more I could say. But these are just a few of the reasons I know Pastor Alamo to be of the Lord. I know God has called me into this ministry. The Bible says, “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called” (I Cor. 7:20). So anyone who tries to tell me to do other wise, “Get thee behind me, Satan.” I’m here because I know God wants me here. My fear is not “taught to me by the precepts of men” (Isa. 29:13). God has dealt with me personally, and I will never listen to human flesh.

Anyone who happens upon this message board, if the Lord is leading you to come to the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries and you listen to these people’s lies and let them sway you, instead of heeding God’s calling, you are conferring with flesh and blood, and you will be led astray. This is why the Lord says, “Take heed what you hear” (Mark 4:23).

Remember these words to a song: “You won’t lose a friend by heeding God’s calling, for what is a friend if he wants you to fall. Others find pleasure in things I despise. I like that old Christian life.”

The most amazing thing of all is that God speaks to people and performs miracles for people and the majority of these people don't have to live in a foundation where children are abused, molested and married off as children brides, not to mention having to live as concubines to some man who has a hard time being sexually satisfied with one woman.

So here is another lie tony told. He said he was out in public. Once again this is a twisted version of the truth.
He was out in the public eye, however not as Tony Alamo, the wanted fugitive, but as meek and mild Harvey Crochan.

The real Harvey Crochan, the one Tony abdonded in a nursing home after he was seriously injured while passing out Tony's tracts. As far as I know Harvey is still in the nursing home, unless he has since passed away.

This is the same Tony Alamo who claims to be a world pastor.

Susie Gruesome, it amazes me that you think that you can so boldly order me to tell you about my personal life. My life is none of your business. How or where I choose to live my life has nothing to do with you. I am commanded not to cast my pearls before swine. It is between God and me. But for the sake of innocent people that read this message board, I will say that I have not had sex with Pastor Tony Alamo, nor am I married to him. Tony doesn’t have anything to do with me, with the exception of being my pastor. There are no children being abused, molested, married off, or made concubines in this church. That is another filthy lie.

Yes, Kenya Williams was put out of the church because he was committing fornication with several different women and carrying a gun to defend himself from a jealous boyfriend. And as all of you former members in this church know very well, the Lord instructed Pastor Alamo many years ago not to have any weapons in this church. (In all my life I have never so much as seen a gun.) So any person carrying a gun or anyone that commits fornication (or any other deliberate sin unto death) after they have been saved and filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit (which gives them more than enough power to keep from sinning) is made to leave. The rules of this church are based very strictly on the Word of God. Paul instructed us in the way a church should be set up. Some of those instructions are as followes: “I write unto you not to company with fornicators” (I Cor. 5:9). “But I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator…with such an one no not to eat…Therefore put away from among yourself that wicked person” (I Cor. 5:11-13). I also am commanded “Be not unequally yoked with an unbeliever: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? (II Cor. 6:14).

My son and I are not being abused or beaten in any way (hit, clobbered, kicked, or whatever other words you choose to use) nor have we ever been. We are both very happy and want to be left alone. You say you love us, and all of you pretend you care so much, but what you are doing shows me differently. You know we are here because we want to be here. You know we could leave at any time we want. As a matter of fact, I happen to know personally that if I ever wanted to leave, Pastor Alamo would buy me a ticket to go anywhere I want in the US. He’s not begging to support us. I have seen him buy many a ticket for people who didn’t want to stay here anymore.

No one is telling you how to serve Satan so stop trying to tell us how to serve the Lord. We get our instructions from the Lord, not flesh. You are trying to get as many people riled up as you can to try and get Tony behind bars, a man who has done nothing but cared for our souls and put others first before himself, staying up hours into the night studying and writing literature, and bringing messages everyday to win souls and to have fresh manna to feed to his congregation every day. You want someone like this behind bars because you can’t stand the fact that he preaches the truth, because it makes you feel uncomfortable. The truth scares you because you know you are on your way to hell.

You all lived very happy lives in this ministry and many of you even wrote letters stating this very fact in your own words. You could have left at any time and chose not to. Most of you only left because you were made to leave because you would not live lives that lined up with the Word of God in every way. Some of you, even after you were put out still stood up for the church in court and elsewhere because you knew that Pastor Alamo was a man only interested in doing a work for the Lord and winning as many souls as he could before it is too late. But you have let Satan set himself up in the place where the Lord once lived. You now despise the things of the Lord that you once loved. Seven demons worse than your original demons have now moved in to your temple that was once the Lord’s temple, and you have become antichrist.

I believe that all of you people are being paid by the Vatican controlled government to do what you are doing so that if the government comes in and kills Pastor Alamo they can say it was you so that they won’t be blamed for it. FBI Agent John Gary Peeler stated that the government was trying to get him to assassinate Pastor Alamo, and you’re trying to give the Vatican controlled government the justification to do it. You know that they have murdered millions of people before and that’s why you are doing this. You are nothing but ponds for Satan and his Vatican.

Pastor Alamo’s messages are all over the world. The message is out and this is what makes you ungodly people so irate. The more God’s message gets out, the more infuriated Satan and his followers become. He knows that his time is short. If Pastor Alamo’s message was leading people to hell like the Catholic cult has been doing for centuries, you people wouldn’t have any problem because he’d be just like you. But it’s not until the Lord starts opening more doors to get the true, undiluted, uncompromising message out to more and more people right here at the end of time that Satan fights Pastor Alamo the hardest. You need to follow Gamaliel’s advice: “Take heed to yourselves what you intend to do [concerning this man]…Refrain from [him], and let [him] alone; for if [his] counsel or [his] work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God” (Acts 5:34-39).

Rebecca Levy says that I’m so weak that I couldn’t make it out there. I work in the office and I know how to type and take dictation and I could get a job almost anywhere. I am very capable. I’m not here because I think I can’t make it out there. I’m here because the Lord has shown me by many infallible proofs that this is where He wants me. If I were to listen to you and ignore God I would be cursed. As for your rambling Rebecca Levy, I never said I got into sin nor was I tempted to get into sin when I lived away from the church. I have too much fear of God to do that.

Leave it to you, Becca, to think that one of the things of the world that would be considered enjoyable would be going to the grocery store. If I wanted to I could go to the grocery store, and I do sometimes. Ask my sister, that was never something I enjoyed doing. It was always her and my mom that liked to shop. I thank God that I don’t have to go to grocery stores for my food. We have purchasing agents that do that for us and we get whatever we want. I don’t have to cook or wash dishes either because I work in the office. I count it a blessing.

As for the lie from Ian Mann that altar calls full of souls with tears streaming down there faces are a thing of the past for this church, that is hasn’t happened for 30 years. This is yet another easily proven lie. It’s been many years since Ian Mann has been in one of our services. Anyone coming to the services can see that he is a liar. There are van loads of guests coming to services every night at our different outposts, because our witnessers are out on the streets every day distributing the gospel literature, doing the same thing Tony and Sue started over forty years ago when the church first started. If you would read the web site you would see hundreds of thousands of letters from people that are giving their lives to Christ not only in the US but throughout the world. And still today, the front aisle of the churches are packed out with people who come forward to give their lives to the Lord. This ministry hasn’t dwindled down in the least bit. As a matter of fact, we are exploding all over the world. I read the letters that come in every day by the hundreds from people getting saved through the literature that the Lord has given Pastor Alamo and the daily messages they are hearing on the radio. I hear testimonies over the platform from people who given their lives to the Lord very recently after reading Pastor Alamo’s literature, testifying of how they were delivered from years of alcohol and drug abuse instantly after they came down to the altar after services and gave their lives to the Lord. They wouldn’t have repented and given their lives to the Lord if Pastor Alamo had preached the watered down, compromising messages you hear from most preachers today. They repented and gave their lives to God because they received the fear a person receives when they hear the true personality of the Lord, the fear that makes a man depart from evil. He’s not a pastor that just tells people sweet things to try to keep his congregation. As you know, Pastor Alamo has never done that. He doesn’t want anyone in his church that despises and rejects even one point in the Word of God. He’s preaches the truth of the Word of God in its entirety, and everything he preaches, he backs up with the Word of God. I don’t just listen to him and believe him. I search the scriptures as he has always instructed us to do, and I find him to be 100% right on. He never deviates from the Word of God.

Rebecca Levy, you are trying to portray me to be a liar in the incident with your dad. I don’t have a filthy brain to make something like that up. If I’m lying, may God curse me till the day I die, then when I die send my soul to the lowest and hottest part of the lake of fire. I’m not afraid to say this, because I’m not lying nor would I ever make something up, especially something of this caliber, about anyone. It happened. You asked why I never said anything to anyone. I wish I had. I lived with guilt for a long time but I was too ashamed to tell anyone. I still don’t like talking about it. During the time your dad was put out (which you stated in an earlier posting that he wasn’t put out, at least you admit that much), that was when I was very close to telling my mom, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it, but I remember very distinctly sitting at the kitchen table with my mom, and I had been thinking about how bad it would be for you to have to go live with him (if you remember all of us children were praying very hard for you and I prayed probably more earnestly than them all because of what had happened). I hadn’t really said enough, but I couldn’t bring myself to say anymore. I had so much guilt every time I thought about it, but was too ashamed to say anything, so I would just push it out of my brain and tried to forget it ever happened. You say your dad loved me as a daughter. Yes, he made me feel that he loved me as his daughter, that is how I ended up trusting him, but he betrayed my trust. I never went to your house again after that, even though he, many times, would ask me in front of you and other children why I wasn’t coming over anymore. Don’t you remember him asking me that? As for your demented accusations against Tony that I made it up because Tony wanted to hear some demented tale, may God curse you till the day you die and when you die, send your soul to the lowest and hottest part of hell then the lake of fire for an eternity for the false accusations you are bringing against a prophet of God. You had better be very careful the accusations you bring because you will be paying for them for an eternity.

As for your dad, anyone can see by reading his posts on this message board that his mind is infested with every kind of sinful, lustful, filthy thought. Nobody could speak the way he does and be decent. Any one reading this message board can see what kind of a person he is and what goes on in his brain. I’m sure he had done so much worse since he’s been away from this church. God has given him over to uncleanness through the sinful lusts of his own heart. thank you for posting the post about Jared and the grapefruit being thrown out the bus window. Jared said from the very beginning that he didn't do it. Years latter Johnny Way and Sean Harris both told me the same thing, that it was Tommy Shoemaker who threw the grapefruit out the window.

I think this is the 1st time anyone inside the foundation admitted to the truth regarding the grapefruit incident.

That was the incident Jared got kicked out of the foundation over.

He didn't take the blame for this incident, he told papa Tony that he didn't throw the grapefruit out the window.

Tony stopped and prayed and responded back to Jared, "I just prayed and the Lord told me your are lying"
after hours of going back and forth, Tony said Jared could stay but had to take 70 swats with the board of education. (talk about being double minded, Lord said you have to leave, but now Tony almighty says take 70 swats and you can stay!

To this day I admire Jared for the stand he took, even grown men were afraid to make the stand this 14 year did against tony almighty.
He told Tony he wasn't taking swats for something he didn't do.
Of course Tony went into his tirad because Tony said the Lord told him Jared was lying. Jared was on a plane to La were Bob and I were sent to sell alamo designs by day and work in the office by night.


Tony Alamo kicked Jared out of the foundation over a false report. He wanted Bob and I to send Jared to live with one of Bob's sister. I wouldn't do that, separate our family again. I looked at Bob and we both said, that is it, we are leaving.
Tony begged us to stay, Tony said we were a blessing to the foundation. The next morning we picked Jared up at LAX, that was the day we left the foundation.


We were one of the lucky ones, we got $70.00 for the 3 of us to leave the foundation, verses people who were thrown out into the streets penniless.


So now 15+ years later the truth even comes out from the inside of the foundation, from one of Tony's wives or concubines.

Jared did not throw the grapefruit out the bus window! Which proves once again that Tony did not hear from the Lord that day.

Tony is a false prophet. The Lord did not tell Tony Jared was lying about the grapefruit.


Wouldn't you have to admit right here that Tony is for sure a false prophet. Tony has been a false prophet for a long time now. This incident happened in 1989.

I'm sure there have been hundreds of the same type senario involving Tony stating something the Lord told him, but really Tony was lying, the Lord didn't show him. False prophet that is what tony alamo is.

One of my biggest struggles after I left the foundation was admitting to myself that Tony is not who I thought he was. He was wrong. it was hard for me to think those words, must less say them outloud. But after many years I came to the understanding who Tony Alamo is, and that is a false prophet. My Bible tells me not to follow a false prophet. The Lord made it plain and simple for me to know beyond any doubt that I could never go back to the Alamo foundation. He delivered me all the lies and confusion that go on there.

After we left the foundation in 1989 for years I was a big Tony Alamo supporter and defender. I wanted nothing more than to go back to the foundation. We drove from Fresno to LA every other weekend to attend services. That was about a 4-5 hour drive 1 way. We tithed 10% or more of our pay, I spent countless hours listening to Tony's tapes, passing out tracts, praying for Tony and the foundation. Spent hours on the phone with Tony, Yes, he would call and we would talk about what he was doing and the court cases. He told MerryAnn and Lenore to call and fellowship with me. Why tony even had my friend Tommy Scarcello call me to see if we needed anything.

While living outside of the foundation I testified at court cases, supporting and defending Tony Alamo.

I testified for Tony in the memphis court case. That is where I meet Nikki R and James R. They picked me up at the airport.
So in the court room I defended Tony beating my son Jason. While I sat on the stand defending Tony I was looking out into the courtroom into the face of my son, Jason, who testified truthfully about the beatings he received at tony alamo's command. Talk about being an alamo supporter, it was me! I honestly didn't believe that my children were beaten. I believed Tony and according to him they were spanked.

Over several years the Lord dealt with me. I would read the bible and then remember incidents that happened at the foundation. In 1996 I started seeing how I skirted issues, double-talked, always excused unscriptural things that Tony did. I think that was one of the hardest things I had to admit to was that Tony was not what I believed he was. I honestly believed Tony was the prophet of God. I had to face the facts about the child beatings I had witnessed, the polygamy I had witnessed, the confessions, how ungodly and the way he spoke to brothers and sisters, calling them names and degrading them and even having them spanked and smote.

Everyday the Lord showed me his tender mercies and opened my heart to understand that He is also a God of great mercy, mercy higher than the heavens,renewed everyday. He is long suffering and of great kindness. Salvation is a free gift from God through His Son, Christ Jesus. I can't work my way into heaven. It is not about how hard you work, pass out tracts any of that. It is about Jesus, He who died and paid the price for my salvation. Do I have to still keep His commandments? Yes I do, but it is not grievous to serve the Lord and guess what He gives His beloved sleep and rest unto their souls, He sends His comforter, the Holy Spirit. I truly have been blessed!

I will never forget the day the Lord made me to understand that I allowed the children He entrusted to me to be beaten by Tony Alamo, while I stood by and completely agreed with tony as he gave the command for them to be beaten bloody. When the Lord showed me that I allowed them to be BEATEN I was heart sick, I asked myself how could I have been so blind? I wept and begged for forgiveness from my Savior and my children. Did they forgive me? Yes, my Savior and both my sons forgave me.

Jason who was repeatedly beaten bloody by the command of Tony Alamo has grown up to be a wonderful man. He is very motivated to be successful, owning several businesses and married to a wonderful wife. Jared, who was repeatedly beaten by the command of Tony Alamo has grown up to be successful in the radio field and has a wonderful family that adore him.

I pray for the Lord to get ahold of them and to show them His true personality. Both sides, the wrath and the mercy side. We all spent a wonderful Thanksgiving together, Jason, Jared their wives and children and myself and Bob. We are all thankful that Tony didn't succeed in destroying our family and souls. I thank God that He has given me peace of mind, heart and soul. I am truly blessed by our Lord and Savior.


We received a telephone call from Bert K in the fall of 1996 with a message from Tony Alamo telling us we had 30 days to be back inside the foundation. However the Lord made me to know His hand delivered me from Tony's control and He never wants me to return to the pit he took me from. No more griping fear every time there is a knock on the door. No more fear of being kick out of my home and separated from my family, my pay being taken away. He also removed the desire to return to Tony Alamo and his control. It took years, but I see clearly now!

So like I said, I really do understand where windycity is coming from.

Yes I truley understand where Windy is comming from too. I never even gave it a thought that I would justify Tony and all He did and wouldnt give others He ridiculed any room for mistakes. Only Tony was rightious, no matter what. I really am glad Jesus still forgives. I dont know why I really believed only Tony was worthy of understanding. Alamo supporters, are the words you have typed here, your testimony before the Lord? Is this the abundance of your heart and soul?

You claim to believe in one thing, the truth of the Gospel, yet, the manner of your speech betrays you; you speak poison. You have forked tongues, and (seem to be) double-minded.

What do you think of the things you are saying? Is your speech becoming, as men and women who proclaim to follow God, who would like others to believe you are somehow superior to us, simply because you are in a ministry (never mind for a moment, the testimonies of dozens of people, who have been hurt in one shape or other, in that so-called ministry).

We've come on here, each one of us former-members, to speak of the experiences we had. Those experiences are as unique to each one of us, as is our hair/eye color, nationality. Yet, because you do not believe in those things which have been shared here, you accuse, slander, demean, antagonize.

They weren't your experiences, and for that, perhaps you should thank God. But don't be so sure that you are somehow better.

Yes,we worked from early morning until 1 or 2 am 6 days a week with a break going to the prayer meeting, either 8 am or 8 pm, but then we went back to work.

On sundays it was 2 or 3 services a day. Unless you were working at the restaurant or pulling watch, working the spec house, etc.
So you have it twisted who the leech was!!!!

Tony was the leech, he used all our strength and effort and labors to bring in the finances, which he wasted, or purchased for himself expensive boots with lifts, and clothing, diamond rings, custom van for his comfort.

One example of someone's credit being totally ruined is Simon. Tony had apartments, phones, vehicles etc, all over the country in Simon's name! Simon tithed his large inheritance to try to appease Tony's wrath and false accusations against him. However it didn't work, Simon lost his inheritance money and got kicked out of the foundation and his credit was totally destroyed. He wrote numerous letters to Tony, while in prison but Simon never got any type of resolution and no restitution. Simon had to take care of all the outstanding balances by himself. So try and tell Simon that Tony didn't rip him off!!! Just because you don't know something happened, doesn't mean it didn't!!

Not to mention most of us had tax bills charged to us from when we were living in the foundation that tony took our earnings for, however he never paid the taxes owed. He is a thief and a user of naive souls who are searching for the truth.

One car I never could witness to was the Delorean-it's so tight you can't get a tract into any of it's door crevices.But my best tract count was at the Lost Hills dump (Calabasas Ca) in '96 -I probably got 20,000 out in two minutes.

Oh yeah. I remember when a family left the church a few years back, they were talking about the latest developments in phony's doctrine. It was insane! None of it made any sense, except that his new "revelations" did nothing but justify all of his perversions.
When Adam, Jacob, and I went to the "church" building in fort smith to see if Ricky Tiner was there, it was pathetic. The people there all stared at us like deer caught in the headlights!
No one knew what to do, because we had just up and walked in during the middle of services. --I believe it was the girls service that night; so no boys were there.-- No body made a move, they just sat and stared until we left; we didn't see ricky, and figured he was somewhere else. On our way out Shelly Garner stopped me and tried to act friendly. She was trying to talk about some pretty inane stuff, then when she saw that I was uninterested, she started to tell me that Adam and Jacob were very disrespectful and rude.
She then asked me, in her fourth grade teacher voice (it was like she hadn't ever changed, and thouhgt that would work on me) to tell them that she said they were rude and had bad attitudes.
I couldn't help but look her in the eye with a big grin, and tell her: "Alright, but I'm tellin' you, they really could care less what you have to say. So goodbye and have a nice day"

I stumbled on to this discussion board researching my thesis on religious cults. Funny thing is my inspiration for this subject came from the impression an old friend made on me durring our brief relationship. He actually has made several entries (Double_J) through out this thread. I can assure that everything he recounts happening to him is true. As a matter if fact it had been years since his family had been members and he still carried his suffering with him. Though I am a very spiritual I can't say that I had a heavy religious background. However their family did. They live with regret every day that they allowed Tony to intefere with their family in the name of the lord. I find it repulsive that people trying to live in the light of god are twisted for one mans personal gain. I want to give the sceptics a little advice. Our Father in heaven is an all mighty light of love. He loves all of us ...sinners, non believers ect. His forgivness is infinite because we are all gods children. He would never use physical violence to teach his lessons. Violence is that of man and anyone practising it in name of the lord is a false prophet and more likely to be one of Satans minions. God=Love and when you surrender yourself to him you are saved and can be reborn. No one needs to beat that into you. Somewhere in your mind you know that already. I'm friends with Jared's family. Thank you for your contribution to this subject. I know several people who have done their thesis on spiritual abuse and various cults and their effects. Also on the similarities of battered women and people in cults. It's quite an interesting subject. But if you're actually living it, it can be hell on earth at times. Not to say that we didn't have good times too...we did. And because we went through such adverstiy together in the cult, we have formed strong bonds of friendship with many we were in the group with. I hope doing your thesis will be a great learning experience for you.

Now back to the birth control thing god helps those who help themselves. Birth control is a responsibilty thing. If a woman in a 1 bedroom shack has 15 children and they have to split up a bag of potatoes for a week to eat ( how is that what god wants). Your ideals are old fashioned and it threatens the furthing of society. 15 kids born in poverty have no chance to be a normal contributer to society. They will not furthur thier education .. they will not be able to function in the real world. You know why they have to work just to eat. Gods wants us to figure out the puzzle. Thats a great question....and if some one takes his place will the followers believe that he to talks to god as well. Do they think that when Tony dies that someone else from his church will then be visited by god and have word tranferred to them? It's ridiculous! For Hypthetical reason lets say "tony" really talks to god. That would be such a rare gift who else in this world would have that power. What makes them think that someone else would have that gift. Hi Skeptic: The people there belive that Tony is one of the "two witnesses" in Revelations (the other being Susan Alamo risen from the dead). so when they finaly die it will be at the end of time anyways.

On a side note, I belive the "Fatal Flaw" which led to the current condition in the Foundation has always been that there has never been any kind of church government for the congregation.When the Foundation began granted,most of the brothers and sisters probably wouldn't have known how to govern things, but by the time I came in (1971)people were together enough to handle the affairs of the church so that there would be accountability. Susie never allowed that to happen because she wanted up to always remain her "kids". With a government run from the congregation and the pastors sticking solely to ministering the Word, the church would have been to grow into the ministry it could have been instead of being hijacked into Tony's personal kiddy harem.

I think your analysis of the "Fatal Flaw" is correct. I would add the separation from the rest of the Body of Christ which added to our attitude of superiority (self-righteousness) as a church, even though on a personal level many were humble before God.

These factors, could be called spiritual carcinogens. They opened the door for one destructive cell (Tony, the Tumor, Alamo) To grow into the fat, useless, piece of flesh he is today, and still there are people there who cannot recognize him as death and not life.

There was a time in the early 70's that Tony and Sue were going to start a new church and had chosen 12 brothers and sisters to head it. Then for some hush, hush reason they were yanked back in and that was the end of that. (Carolyn may be able to fill in detail as to the silly reason why)

I believe, in retrospect, that that was a major turning point. There was no major growth of the church after that. Instead of the focus being on us becoming ministers, it became about making money to put Sue on TV. An idea, I might add, that at the time I was all in favor of. It took a while, but eventually without accountability, it became all about preaching Tony's messages, passing out Tony's tracts.

Now, you even have nuts like "truth" boasting how Tony cares so much for people he even buys their toothbrushes. How sad to think that 40-50 year old men and women would view this as salvation and not bondage.

Actually, there for awhile near the end; before the raid, we did have a form of self government.
phoney was away for such long periods of time that there was set up, a committee. A group of different responsible brothers and sisters, that met to discuss and decide what to do, in running the "ministry". This idea worked. We became a much more productive group, and were actually on the road going from "in the red" to black. Now, of course! When phoney saw how well we were doing without him....he put a stop to the committee; something about how we were screwing everything up, and that he needed to fix it. figures.

The committee was formed because Tony was in Hiding. He didn't call for three months or so. He was terrified of being caught by the feds.

The committee did get things going into the red but it was a doomed ship anyway because there was so much contention and strife.

Tony ran the foundation by pitting us one against another. After being trained this way for so many years I don't believe it would have succeeded in the long run. It was mainly kept together by the thought that Tony would return. As soon as he started calling again the committee was disbanded and things contiued downhill.

The committee didn't really do much anyway. It was mostly Ann Mac who ran things and paid the bills.

As far as as tony having his wives on birth control.....I highly doubt that!
