Arkie you responded and denied that you as the moderator had any such affiliation and challenged anyone to prove differently. The other day, someone posted something about you, arkiebrian, that prompted you to shut down and purge the board. By doing this you have proven what the opposition has said. Whatever you are trying to hide from the Factnet audience is surely available elsewhere on the Internet and anyone not under "mind-control" can find out for themselves by searching, so why don't you go by the same rules for everyone and allow all posts as permanent, unless you have something to hide???

Holly, a very slanderous post was issued against Bill today. Why has it not been deleted ? It is in this category.
When all of this slanderous posting started, Bill was the first one. He e-mailed arkiebrian and asked to have it removed, at least the addresses, phone numbers and SS numbers.

He finally got a different moderator who did respond, but only X'd out the SS #
At this point he is totally disillusioned with Factnet, not to mention you and Arkie.
If somebody is truly going to moderate this group, knowing the things that TA keeps posting, they have to stay on top of the job, and that might mean daily housekeeeping.

How many posts a day are averaged on this board. You can go thru them all in less than 1/2 hour, but he doesn't have the time.

"Controversy has followed Alamo since the early '70s when he and his wife, Susan, began taking busloads of young dropouts, drug addicts and drunks from the streets of Hollywood to a compound in Saugus, where they were treated to fire-and-brimstone admonitions that included Alamo's anti-government and anti-Catholic beliefs...

"Fuchs, part of a 10-agent task force that tracked and captured Alamo, said investigators believe that Alamo settled in the Tampa Bay area almost immediately after fleeing California.

"Authorities said Alamo had a core group of followers that helped him elude capture. Prosecutors have described these followers as bodyguards-"Christian soldiers" ready to protect their pastor with weapons, if needed.

"They assisted him; they protected him," FBI Agent Donald Geisler testified this month in a Tampa courtroom where Alamo was seeking bail. Geisler said former followers of Alamo have told investigators that the group has access to automatic weapons and that "Mr. Alamo and his bodyguards should be considered armed and dangerous."

"The contention that Alamo's group is armed or violent angers church followers. They point out that numerous searches have never turned up weapons on church property.

Albert Krantz, 40, a gaunt, soft-spoken former drug addict who credits Alamo with saving him spiritually two decades ago, came to Tampa last year to work with Alamo on clothing designs. FBI agents identified him as an Alamo bodyguard.

"It is completely and utterly ridiculous," he said of the idea that a phalanx of Alamo soldiers is ready to commit violence to protect Alamo. "I don't think anyone would consider me a bodyguard."

"Ray Arauz, a Los Angeles follower of Alamo who the FBI said is also an Alamo bodyguard, scoffed at such a contention.

"I am nobody's bodyguard," said Arauz, 41. "I have my own family to watch out for. This just shows the government harassment that is going on here. The whole thing is very unfair."

"Aside from the dispute over bodyguards and weapons, it is apparent that Alamo-nearly blind from glaucoma and unable to drive-was routinely in the company of several followers while he was a fugitive.

"Alamo has remarried and has a 9-year-old stepdaughter. Federal agents said they believe that the family moved often from house to house in the Tampa area. They say they have documented that he moved from a house in Madeira Beach, near Tampa, earlier this year when a neighbor complained to police about the large number of people who stayed at the home and the late-night comings and goings of the entourage.

"Billy Johnson operates a private postal box store next to the Big Time Discount hardware store that authorities said Alamo-using the name Harvey Cochran-opened in Pinellas Park, across Old Tampa Bay from Alamo's rented house. Johnson said Alamo made several visits to the hardware store each week, always arriving in a van with four or five other men. Alamo always carried a cellular phone, Johnson said.

"They did no advertising; some days they didn't even open," said Johnson, who became suspicious of his neighbor. "It was like they were in business but they didn't care if they got any business."

"The store has been closed since the arrest, and church followers have begun removing its inventory.

"Investigators said Alamo's frequent moves of his household and his use of cellular phones-which are untraceable-mail drops and numerous aliases were the chief impediments to his capture.

"The FBI said Alamo made calls from Tampa using cellular phones registered in New Jersey. This allowed him to frequently call newspapers and a Nashville radio talk show hosted by his brother, Dan Hoffman, without fear of giving away his whereabouts.

"As an example of how he tried to prevent his mail from being traced, investigators said Alamo sent tapes to be broadcast on radio station WRFA-AM in nearby Largo to a post office box in New York. A follower would pick up the tapes, then remail them so that they arrived at the Florida radio station with New York postmarks.

"Investigators said they know of at least seven aliases used by Alamo while he was a fugitive.

"Known as Harvey Cochran at the hardware store, his name was G. Elmo Justine at the waterfront home he rented in Tampa. After Alamo was arrested, agents found a business card in his wallet from a restaurant called Wild Child's in Temple Terrace, northeast of Tampa. The card belonged to H. Colling, general manager of the restaurant.

"Federal agents went to the restaurant and learned that H. Colling was Alamo, who had orchestrated the opening of the restaurant two weeks earlier, making all the decisions right down to the design of the restaurant's logo and menus. The agents also learned that several of the restaurant's employees were followers of Alamo's church who had moved to the area in recent months to be near their pastor.

"One employee is Jennifer Colbeck, a 17-year-old waitress who was born in Saugus and lived in Alamo church communes until she moved to Tampa this year. She said she came with her husband, John, also an Alamo follower and a dishwasher at Wild Child's. Like other followers who would talk to the media in Tampa, she recited, seemingly by rote, a denunciation of the pursuit and capture of the preacher she called "Papa Tony" while growing up.

"Tony's been my pastor all of my life," she said. "He is the only preacher I know of. He preaches the gospel and some people don't like that. They know he is telling the truth and they just want to shut him up. It's unfair. He's done nothing wrong."

"Investigators believe that profits from the businesses started by Alamo and operated by his followers helped the fugitive preacher finance new ventures as well as avoid capture.

"Johnson, owner of the shop next to the hardware store, said Alamo had expressed interest in buying his postal box business but was arrested before serious negotiations began.

"Alamo's high-profile activities were unusual for a federal fugitive, authorities said. They concede that had he divorced himself from his church and its followers, he might still be free.

"He thumbed his nose at federal authorities," Assistant U. S. Atty. David Jennings said. "Not until the task force was put together did he see that he couldn't keep doing that."

"The federal task force was formed in May after authorities received information that numerous Alamo followers were flocking to Tampa, said Mike Blevins, chief deputy marshal in Fort Smith, Ark.

"We thought that the probability was good that these people were going there because he was using Tampa as a hiding place," Blevins said.

"The migration of followers to Tampa had in part been spurred by the seizures of numerous church properties in Arkansas and Tennessee to satisfy IRS tax liens. A lien has been placed against the property in Saugus, which has been boarded up and unused for several months.

"Other properties were seized to pay a $1.8-million court judgment won against Alamo by a family of former followers who claimed that the preacher had abused children, alienated family members and violated labor laws. That case prompted more criminal charges against Alamo when he called up a Fort Smith newspaper and allegedly threatened the life of the judge who heard the suit.

"But some followers of Alamo said their arrival in Tampa was coincidental to Alamo being there.

"Rick Tiner, an Alamo follower for 20 years, said he moved there without knowing that Alamo was nearby. "Other brothers of the church said it was a good area to get a new start," Tiner said. "And I had never been to Florida before. I didn't know Tony was here until after I got here."

"Federal authorities have dismissed such claims, derisively referring to the gathering of followers in Tampa as "miraculous." Prosecutor Jennings said the followers came because they are part of Alamo's "nationwide support group, . . . people who would abandon their lives to come to Tampa to harbor him."

Tony did not beat these charges of child abuse. The charges were dropped after Tony Alamo was sent to a federal penitentiary for 6 years for tax evasion. The prosecutors went for the sure thing. People knew Al Capone was guilty of crimes &amp; murder. However Al surrounded himself with liars, who would cover and lie for him. So the government got him on tax evasions. That is exactly what happened in the case of Tony Alamo. He can surround himself with liars, but the Lord didn't deliver out of the enemy's hand. "...U.S. Dist. Judge Jon McCalla ordered Alamo held without bond after a government witness testified that Alamo may have committed bigamy and statutory rape in the past 18 months."

The Witness, IRS special agent David Kimbrough, quoting one of Alamo's ex-wives, said Alamo took as many as nine wives, mostly teen and some as young as 15 years old. Kimbrough said some of the teenage wives were forced into the church marriages by threats of being thrown out of the church. At least one woman told agents she was forced to have sex with Alamo.

McCalla said anyone hearing Wednesday's testimony would be concerned due to "the very great control Mr. Alamo has over a great number of people.

Justice Department attorney Christopher Belcher also pointed out that Alamo was a fugitive between mid-1989 and mid-1991, when he was wanted on several criminal charges. He still faces felony child abuse charges in California, where he is accused of ordering the beating of the child of a follower...

Kimbrough said members of Alamo's church told IRS agents that they feared for their own daughters because Alamo recently had begun marrying girls as young as 12, and even suggested that he would marry his own stepdaughter, who is 11...

For the jurors, Alamo's testimony worked against him, she said: “He said we were sitting in the building of the church of Satan," in reference to his theory of a one-world church...

Among the 40 witnesses called by the government were former followers and three of Alamo's ex-wives who detailed his extravagant spending for himself and his wives.

An Arkansas banker testified that Alamo alone controlled more than 20 bank accounts in the name of various businesses under the Music Square Church.

Alamo took the witness stand himself to deny that he had any income in the years in question. He said that as the pastor, he was supported by the church, and that everything he did was to further his ministry.

He expounded on his theory of a conspiracy by the "Lucifer-worshipping" forces of the Vatican, IRS, FBI, Mafia and the new media, which he said was trying to create a "one-world" church/government to rule the world.

He invoked the Fifth Amendment 10 times when Belcher asked him whether he had multiple wives

Cult Leader Loses Ruling Over Dead Wife's Body

The Arkansas Court of Appeals on Wednesday dismissed on a technicality religious cult leader Tony Alamo's appeal of an order requiring him to produce the missing body of his long-dead wife for burial.

The body of Susan Alamo, who died of cancer in 1982, disappeared from a Dyer, Arkansas mausoleum owned by the cult in 1991, shortly after federal authorities moved to seize church assets for tax irregularities.

In 1995, a lower court found that Alamo was responsible for the theft of Susan Alamo's remains. The couple had built a religious cult and business empire from a storefront effort to reclaim drug users and teenage runaways in Hollywood during the 1960s.

The court ordered Alamo to return the body so its identity can be verified by an Arkansas medical examiner prior to a "proper and legal entombment."

The court order resulted from a suit brought by the dead woman's daughter, former cult member Christhiaon Coie of Reseda. It ordered Alamo, who is nearing the end of a six-year federal sentence for tax evasion, to produce the body or be jailed for contempt of court upon his expected release from federal prison in Texarkana, Tex.

"I'm just so happy today," Coie said Wednesday. "He had no right to do anything like this. This is so perverse. So insane."

Alamo, a flamboyant evangelist who acted as his own attorney on the appeal, has alternately confirmed and denied he knows the whereabouts of the body.

Coie's lawyer, Charles Karr of Fort Smith, Ark., said the appeals court threw out Alamo's appeal because it wasn't filed in a timely manner. He said decisions of the appeals court are rarely reviewed by the Arkansas Supreme Court.

Karr said he wouldn't be surprised if Alamo approached the high court nonetheless. "That would be his next step if he wants to take another one, and, knowing him, he probably will."

If, on the other hand, you would like to back up your strong beliefs, regarding the above mentioned individuals, by providing your factual sources (and an internet research site is not even considered when applying for a job so it will not be used to establish credibility for this purpose) then you will be able to prove that YOU are telling the truth and we can all stop playing these pathetic, childish games. I also invite you to provide factual proof positive about the “accusations” you claim are false pertaining to your leader, Tony Alamo and his perverted, and lying behavior in order to gain any credibility. If you can do that, then perhaps you will get some apologies of your own, after all most people posting on this site are Christians.

*Tony Alamo has commanded children to be beaten, suspended spread-eagle in mid-air while the beating is being administered by an adult other than the child's parent.

Several children, who were the victims of Tony Alamo's beatings, and adults who either witnessed the beatings or they were the administrator of the beatings have stated numerous times these beatings did happen.

On Tony Alamo's radio program he denies the children being beaten! (Rebuttal means - respond to this statement)

*Tony Alamo claims he was operating out in the open in Tampa while opening "Wild Child's", and other businesses. Why was he using Harvey Crochran's name and why did Tony Alamo have Harvey's ID on him. Poor Harvey was in Arizona in a near coma like state.

My parents were on to Tony Alamo years before we were forced out. My father recently shared a very interesting story about how he got us "put out" and again it goes back to Tony Alamo's ego. Dad was putting in request after request to speak with Tony about his concerns in the direction the church was going since Susie's death. Tony wouldn't give him the time of day, of course so my dad decided he would have to get put on report somehow in order to get an audience with him. He chose to play a movie to us kids at the pink nursery during a sleepover for my brother's birthday. He chose the movie "Aliens" (rated R) knowing he would get in trouble and be able to get an audience with his Majesty the king, Tony Alamo.

Sure enough, it worked and my father was able to speak for 3 minutes via speaker phone to discuss his concerns and ask Tony what his vision was for the future of the church. Well, Tony never even answered him. He simply said "Get this joker out of here". That was the appreciation Alamo showed him after 15 years of dedication and slaving for Tony. I guess it didn't make his sentence any lighter since my father witnessed Tony picking up prostitutes and drugs on the streets of Nashville when he was his limo driver, as well as a number of other indiscretions not becoming of a man of God. So it was truly a blessing from the Lord that he released us from that den of iniquity. We are all the happier and healthier for it.

The rumor of me being a prostitute in TN was told to my parents, from an ex-member who was recently set free themselves; while we were living in Pennsylvania and I was 13 years old at that time. (My parents chose not to share that one with me until I was much older) So that accusation was not a shock when I heard it on this board. It just surprised me that the followers still believe that kind of garbage from Alamo. So many people have gotten out of there and the followers were told that they died some terrible death or where homeless or drug attics, or in my case, prostitutes, and many other insane imaginings created to instill fear in the remaining followers. Fear that they can not survive without the group or Alamo’s charity. It is simply a spiritual journey to find the truth for ones self and they are simply not mentally equipped to take on the task. We will continue to pray for them and God will release those who see his word for what it is and not Alamo’s distorted fear tactic version of the scriptures.

An interesting note I can add to that story. I was in Nashville passing out literature one night on Broadway. It was an area were there was bars and a few protitutes were in the street.

I was talking to one girl who seemed very bitter and angry, but was still open to the gospel. She then said to me, and I'm paraphasing, "I could tell you some things about Tony Alamo." When I inquired further, all she would say is "He rides in a limo right?" Then she desribed the limo and grinned.

I was a bit bewildered. There was a part of me that understood what she was saying, but at that time I never allowed myself to put 2 &amp; 2 together.

Anchored, I went to that site and it was awesome. Right on target. It also brought back a few more memories to me of time I was" ministering in missions in Chicago." Gary and Mary Morganflash had a gold van and we had an old junk car that emitted so much smoke people would curse and yell at us going down the street. The car finally broke down and we had to walk throughout the city distributing a quota of tracts daily. In most places the tracts were already stuffed under bushes and all over the streets where people had thrown them or members had hidden them to get their quota out. We were not given money for drinks or lunches and it was really hot. I guess it wasnt neccessary to eat for us.
Another memory was walking into Tonys house on the ridge and I was 8 months pregnant. I really wanted to sit down and was told I couldnt sit on the furniture. I had to sit on the floor and couldnt get back up..lol.Yet Tony in all his pompous glory swung himself around the room and plopped down on any piece of furniture that pleased him. go figure.
I do count myself very lucky to not have lived in the converted dog kennels in Saugus, I never went there.
I have to be honest. I felt there were some precious memories that I would not trade in for anything. Again in Chicago in the mission when Cynthia walked in with her baby Ta Ta. She was 2 months old and Cynthia had nothing else with her but one bottle and the teeshirt and diaper on the baby. She moved into the church and we had the most wonderful time caring for that precious bundle of joy. We shopped for clothes and prepared a room for her up on the third floor. Do you remember that Carolyn? Ta Ta was such a doll. Not everyone there is like Tony. They are just people like us. But they really make themselves beleive him. Often over the bible.

You're post is on there. I was referring to another thread that had been on Topix called "surrounding Alamo Ministries". It got pulled down yesterday. Had been up for quite a while. It was started by Sherri Potts, but with all of Alamo's slander on there, Topix pulled it down. The link above is active.
At the very bottom of every Topix page, you will see a heading "Other Fouke Forums", and under that a list of the other ongoing forums devoted to Fouke.
Alamo also pops up in the Mayor forum as well as several others, But I started my forum specifically for the purpose of talking about tiny, and ask everyone, as much as is humanly posible, to NOT respond to alamoites. I know sometimes it is hard, and I have done it myself. But maybe, just maybe, if we all ignore them and don't respond to their lies, they will give up posting, because the game will not be fun anymore. The same should be true for Factnet.
Why waste time replying to their posts. It accomplishes nothing, except letting them know that we are riled up. As long as they know that, they will keep posting.

Anyway Carol, thanks for going there. I urge EVERYONE to start posting there, especially any testimonies. I was already told by PACA, that he was printing out the testimonies I published there, and going to seek council, to see if anything can be done.

Ive been on this forum since the beginning.
It would be good to see that some good has come about because of all the exposure given about alamos.(I cant call it a church anymore).It would be nice to here that some or all of the followers have left because they are sick of what they are linked into because of tony. But now we find our moderator isnt the moderator we thought we had. Just something else alamo needs to divide everyone over.
alamo keeps posting garbage instead of admitting what is really happening there inside the walls of the alamos. (didnt really expect any change from their end) but alamo and cohorts keep getting more bazar with there lies.Plus all the personal information he posts about everyone. Who does that digging into peoples personal business. And how they twist it to suit there purposes. Its just utter tripe coming from alamos. who does that? is it don sweat? streit? Johnson? who are these morons? what a waste they have become.
It wouldnt surprise me at all that he sends some of his people out just to get on the inside of the outside. It sure smells fishy to me when i here about stuff. I dont trust not a one. I wouldnt believe anything coming from in there from anyone of them involved with tony. Its between them and God now. If the Righteous scarcely be saved where do the sinner and ungodly stand. Answer that alamos. But you wont answer honestly , you cant anymore..

If you use the link to the forum I started, and go down to the bottom of the page.
YOu will see a heading Other Fouke Forums, and a list of the most recently responded to forums underneath. If you click on the heading itself(other Fouke Forums), it will bring up all of the forums pertaining to fouke. In terms of other foruums on Topix, your guess is as good as mine. I have not really explored Topix that much.

I read the post you just wrote about an hour ago on Topix.net and was moved by it. I knew you went through a lot because of Tony Alamo's cruelty but didn't know to the extent that you described. Especially the part about Jody.

My heart really goes out to you. You are a dear child of the Lord and sure didn't deserve such treatment. You know you and Jody and all of your family are in our prayers.

Thank you Anchored for your encouragement. I had posted but it seemed to dissappear at first. I did locate it though. Yes Jody was his first underage victem. He lied to her and told her God would kill her, then later told her his minions would drop her off in the desert. I didnt even know what was going on. I sent her there to keep her away from the problems I was having at home and sent her into a wolves den without knowing. Larry wanted her out of my house because she was witnessing things he didnt want her to either. She was so scared though that she never let on to me even after she was allowed to tell me. And it ended up giving her stomache problems and ulcers. This is the only place and now that other site that I ever even deal with this stuff. Untill I came here I completely left it all behind to a great degree. But if it will help stop him, Ill bring it all back up again. We are out now and I thank God for it. Jody is doing so much better then I had ever even hoped. Shes smart and dilligent and he could not destroy her for sure. And God did work everything out for us and always will. Hes been so faithful.

Thanks for sharing that. Nothing is as revealing as first hand accounts.
The telling part for me was where Jody used the Word against Tony to expose the his unscripturalness and the error of his ways. You have to know the Word to be able to use it correctly and skillfully. Jody couldn't have done that if she hadn't studied it.
Of course Tony didn't like that and sent her packing. Tony obviously wanted her away from the rest of his 'harem' pronto-quick before they began to get a clue and follow suit.

Well that was her job at Tonys house or at least part of it. She was to look up verses for him....but what he didnt like was what she looked up ended up showing him wrong. He wanted what he wanted and she was in his way. So yes she became very dangerous to him.

I've been reading accounts of how Tony Alamo told husbands to leave their pregnant wives and then Tony would kick the pregnant wife out on the street like a piece of trash destitute of money, transportation, or any place to go.
