I was reading the posts. The subject of Beer and Wine came up. I recalled what John Keene told me. He told me he had seen some brothers at his church drink too much beer at get togethers.
I am concerned about this so I begin with this grapejuice thing.

1# Grapejuice: Studies have found it good for memory and circulation. Grape juice contains natural glucose which crosses the brain/blood barrier and is used directly by the brain cells.

2# Natual wine is often 12-19 proof. Preachers preach against it or stress use in careful moderation. If you have a few beer's you are
getting plenty of alcohol. Maybe just a pleasant buzz. Maybe a headache. It does nothing for your memory.

FIRST LET ME SAY THAT TO BE A NON-DRINKER IS AN INTELLIGENT CHOICE. HOWEVER, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THOSE WHO DRINK NOR DO I CON-SIDER THEM ANY LESS A CHRISTIAN, THAT IS CRAZY. MAYBE YOU DRINK A LITTLE BUT I LOVE YOUR WIT. YOU ARE UPLIFTING TO ME. WHEN I VISIT THIS SITE I
FEEL THE SPIRIT. I WENT THROUGH THE BIBLE On THE SUBJECT OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION.

I FOUND THESE SCIPTURES REFERING TO WINE(READ ALL OF THEM AND TELL ME
WHAT YOU THINK):

Noah planted a vinyard: Gen 9:21 Noah drank of the wine and
was drunken..

The daughters of Lot used real wine: *Gen 19:31 to 19:36 Not grape juice in
this instance. Wine: because it clearly affected Lot's faculties and
his memory both times.

The Levites were prohibeted Wine before entering the temple:
The Lord Would Kill anyone who tried it.
Lev 10:9

The vow of the Nazarite: No wine for the days of separtion.
Num: 6:3 to 6:20

John the Baptist: No wine at all.
Luke 1:15

People prefer the old wine. This means real wine.
Luke 5:39

John the Baptist and Christ.
Luke 7:33, 7:34 behold a winebibber. (but not a drunk).
Wine is also a medicinal. If I had my choice these
accusers would be absent some teeth. Christ easily
had a genius IQ. If in fact he had a little wine on
occasion. So what.
John 2:27

It is good not to drink in certain circumstances.
Rom 14:21 -this is important because wine is not good
for some. It can hurt certain people.
Be not drunk with wine wherein is excess

Timothy: The qualities sought in a bishop.(Also ministers like us.)
1st Tim 3:2, 3:3
1st Tim 3:8

Titus 1:7, 2:3 (See the context?)

by the way: 1st Tim 3:12 One not nine.

1st Peter 4:3

Lemuel*
In proverbs 31:3, 31:4 a ruler should never give himsef to drink or the
wrong kind of women.

Poverbs 23:29 - 23:35 This gentleman was as embalmed as the worm in
a Tequila bottle. At this time pure red was
considered the color of temptation. For sure
this admonition was not to avoid red wine.
Wine and strong drink had many colors. A prince
had to have a clear memory. Being to long at the
wine means getting drunk.

Other refereces: Eph 5:18, Joh 2:10, Deu 29:62, Sa 11:13, 1Ki 16:9
To real wine

Clearly the Bible means real wine. The reason I wanted to post this is out of concern. Alcohol can be dangerous. I would hate to think of any of you drinking too much. Alcohol is mind altering
and habit forming. A drug. In excess it is just not good for ministers which all of you are let me hear from you.

good post mixter. I'm glad someone did a little homework before speaking out. I'm also glad you took a neutral stance. You didn't advocate drinking, but didn't condemn it either. Each person needs to determine if it has a place in their own lives, and make sure it doesn't take over their lives.

Good post Mixer. I could never figure out how the wine in the Bible was "grape juice". When the wine was put into vessels - and stored without refrigeration how could it not ferment?

What is amazing is while all us brothers and sisters were hard at work, Tony and Susie sat at the davenport house drinking wine and watching the Johnny Carson show. I'll bet you thought they were behind those doors praying ?

I remember talking to a few ex member back in 1996. They told me the foundation folks were allowed to drink wine. Is this a fact? Just wonderin. Also, wonder how tony presented this, since it was taboo for so long.

Heynow,

I left the foundation when Susan was alive.
In 1980. I don't know if members are allowed to
drink but I can see them wanting to. I can see how they would and why. Wine would drown their guilt. Child beatings, yes, this sounds like alchoholic behavior. Tony must get drunk. He had this big protruding gut (frogman). Too much wine. But even so he is a psycopath in the big empty. He thinks the stars in the sky are actually small little lights that will fall to earth like big light bulbs. I will research this concept in the WORD. The great world pastor must understand these fantastic mysteries. Hey everybody Tony OK'ed CISCO! Tony OK'ed it oh thank you Tony. Isnt he a swell guy. OK'ed Wine. Oh thank you Tony!!! Wine yea. He said it. I can us my $5.00
to get some Ripple!!!

THE GREAT TONY!!! lol.

Tony & Sue never lived the lifestyle that the memebers lived! What they could do and what the congregation could do was 2 complete different lifestyles.

Read Jodi's testimony how tony wined and dined her before raping her.

Did you read Ian's testimony about him and Barney having to pick up Tony Alamo from the drunk tank. Tony got arrested and put into the drunk tank overnight.

I wish I still had the tape where Tony was talking about his son, Zion, being sick nigh unto death. Tony said he was really seeking the Lord and the Lord told him to get rid of all the wine in his house-including the cooking wine!

With Tony - the lord told him it was ok to drink wine and then later the lord changed his mind and told tony it wasn't ok. Tony hears voices and tries to convince all that it is the voice of the LORD. Just like the Lord told Tony Jared threw the grapefruit out the window! Tony Alamo you are a false prophet -- however your know how to profit from the people God is dealing with! You are a scammer and a con-artist. Isn't that what you were before you got saved? A Con-Artist

Yeah, Sue, that's right. According to "the horse's mouth", ever since he was in diapers he remembers he was working his show.
What a memory he has and quite selective at times.

Hi Cp
Tony is dumber than a bag of hammers, he is always clubbing himself over the head with his own words.

Tony says 1 thing - and it is usually on tape - then down the road he says the exact opposite. Tony says whatever fulfills his lusts at the time!

Everytime I see that topic "Beer and Wine" it reminds me of something Robert Jackson said. A few months after Robert Jackson arrived he lost considerable weight. He explained it like this, "When I first came here I was full of beer and wine." Anybody know whatever happened to Robert Jackson?

One time on tree crew, in the mountains of Idaho, two ladies from the trailors down the road came over to our trailor and offered me and Paul Watson some bears, I mean beers, and Paul said, "I fear God too much for that". I've always thought that that was a great answer, and you know you can apply that line to any temptation that might come your way. Just think or say to yourself, "I fear God too much for that". Those ladies were both nice, down to earth ladies, we witnessed to them, and one of them became Brad Wheeler's first wife.

Alcohol is touted as being macho, especially on T.V.. Get yourself a 6 pack of Bud-Lite and watch the game like a real man. "Lite" because you really should loose that beer belly you've aquired. Then go out on the highways and bi-ways and crash, mangle, and/or murder innocent babies, children, mothers, fathers, old people. Real macho.
