For 10 years I spent time in a group run by a supposed 'Sufi' or enlightened one. Her name, she said, was Karajan Seinof. She worked in Staten Island NY and lived in Rocky Point, Port Jefferson. She taught us how to love each other and opened up the world of spirituality to alot of us. During that time I felt so important and finally understood. Meanwhile, I was estranged from my family and friends and felt too good for them. I also was running up a debt that I ignored. She ended up stealing about $38,000 from me. She betrayed my trust and even said my soul was going to die. I ended up going to a psychiatrist and was put on medication. That was 6 years ago. I look back and can't believe how much I was fooled by someone who was most probably a sociopath. I even tried to locate her, along with a few other ex-group members, but she disappeared from sight. Still 'teaching' no doubt. I am so angry at her and even angrier at myself for being so gullible. My spiritual beliefs are destroyed and I no longer can stand anything that is sufi-related or new agey or beyond convention. She is definitely evil and I fear is still doing her hurtful work. Maybe by some miracle someone will see this in NY and recognize the name. She claims she is Russian, but we believe she is Turkish. I truly hope that she is stopped before someone else gets hurt.

anonymous-http://www.lamafoundation.org/index.htm is the
Web site for LAMA foundation (in San Cristobal, New Mexico) where a number of "Sufis" used to hang out. Karajan Seinof might be there.

Sufism was in existence in place of Islam. When Islam came into this World Sufism slowly fadeed away, but not completely. Really Sufi masters are more power ful in healing the public with their prayers and led a very simple life. For example you can not see a sufi master other than a simple clothes bag as his property. That is the first symbolic representation of Sufi mystic or master. He is always after god not after money. Even he will help anybody without getting any money also. But they will not teach sufism to anybody other than their own family members / orphans taken care of by them. So the Real sufi mystics are good and very simple living people even without food also some days.Yours, mksugumaran
