Does anyone have any first hand dealings with this group? It appears to be very legalistic, but is it a Cult?
They claim to be the true little flock and if you don't keep the Sabbath on Saturday than you don't know the true God!

This group is a direct splinter of the Worldwide Church of God, founded by Herbert W. Armstrong with headquarters in Pasadena, California. Roderick Meredith was one of the early students at Ambassador College and one of HWA's inner circle for many years. When HWA died the church broke into hundreds of splinter groups. All are CULTS defined by current apologetic research. Not only cultish, but abusive, and unhealthy. Many websites exist that document these abuses and history.

The Painful Truth website is one with an extensive archive. Mark Tablidilo is also another webmaster with extensive history into the Worldwide Church of God, formerly Radio Church of God and Herbert W. Armstrong. I am sure you can find them using any search engine.

The term cult, sect and etc is not always a indicator of abuse. Even mainstream churches can be dysfunctional and unhealthy. However, HWA and his off shoots teach a "One True Church" doctrine. Abuses and control are paramount issues here. There are many "healthy" mainstream Christian churches in most all communities. Abuse can exist here also, but those of long standing are usually not covered by an umbrella of secrecy. Most have full accountings of their history, financial and church government. Do your homework. If you find them lacking, move on! Who needs these little cults and sects or the huge new start up churches in most communities? Your salvation is just as secure in the traditional churches that have been there all along. If more people supported their own area mainstream churches, we would see less reason to post here on these boards. You might think about helping traditional churches get back on track if you found them lacking formerly. Check out church government, and if you don't get answers, move on!

Main stream churches such as..... Catholics? Seems to me the pope has always claimed that the catholic church was the "one true church" the mother church. I think that concept is present in every religion.
