Billy Minor, the son of Kevin and Diane Minor, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Texas on Monday afternoon. Diane is the sister of Dan Langdon. Kevin and Diane also have a daughter, Katie. They all moved to Texas ten or more years ago. Billy was a junior at Texas A&M.
I knew Kevin while he was at the Chapel; and Diane and my wife and her sister have kept in touch - they are part of a large circle of friends that get together every summer up here in the Seattle area and occassionally at other times of the year also. These gatherings also included the children of all these friends and as a result my daughter and my nephews Ben and Phillip Strickland all knew Billy and were fairly good friends with him. The entire family was active in a good church down in Texas - but please remember them and the Langdons in your prayers at this very difficult time for them. Also, the car that hit Billy was driven by a girl who knew him, a fellow student at Texas A&M. The Minors and Langdons have requested that she be remembered in your prayers also.
