db was a twisted old fart
he used Gods word for his own gain.
Others learned to do the samething.
They still think cc is as good as it gets!

db couldn't do what he did all by himself!
He needed lots of little helpers.
Ya .... he was very very good at what he did!!!
The deception still binds and has power.

About the elders.

I'm grateful that God moved the elders to finally deal with Don.

In hindsight what troubles me about the elders, as a group, is that they were prepared to keep Don in the ministry.

All he had to do was agree to stop going on vacations with his bimbos.

It is a very good point you make. Some could argue that by the time the elders decided to "disfellowship" Barnett virtually all of them were involved in improper sexual conduct with women. This would include Jack Hicks

Also, it should be noted that the Senior elders knew about allegations of Barnett's sexual improprieties since at least the late 1970's, when Sandy Brown alleged Barnett to have been involved in improper sexual contact with her. At that time, Barnett ordered the Senior Elders to cease investigation of the matter. (See handwritten letter dated September 4, 1979 from Don Barnett to Jack Hicks, Scott Hartley and George Alberts). A few years later, Barnett reportedly disfellowshipped a group of 40 people led by Frank and Marlene Rice who did not believe the matter was being properly dealt with. The point of all this is the elders clearly had knowledge long before 1988 that improper activity was or may have been occuring.

Holy Cow! And we thought things were bad when we left that place!! The stuff we knew was kindergarten compared to the stuff that was going on "under cover", and the stuff that happened after our departure was worse than any of us imagined.

Even though I always thought BB had much more culpability in the whole thing than was obvious, from the Wenholz deposition, it becomes very obvious just how much she was promoting this whole debacle.

Things ain't always what they appear.
I got taken in by the act.
What I see today is what was really going on 20 yrs ago.
What I see going on today, is the results of what happened 20 or 50 yrs ago.

Did they plan this debacle, or did it just happen?
Was its Gods leading? or "the spirit" that lead us?
We were so blind, and yet we though we saw what the rest of the world could not.
We thought we were special.
It was really all about us.... what we "did" for God....
not what HE "did" for us.

So today, do I have the right pair of glasses, to see the truth? or am I just making it all up?

" THE MINISTERY" is a great life style! One can hide away in thier own little reality.
Reality is full of hurting , hungery people easy to take advantage of. What better way to get your needs met,
its a surething. Just wrap it up real nice, they cant resist
the lure, it "looks" so real! But how do you know for sure?
