The largest Cult in the United States is the God of Mammon/Money. It has invaded Christianity. I wanted to start this tread to see other peoples thoughts on this idea.

Takes money to make things happen. The LOVE of it makes for corruption. All things in moderation.
You can't have a building or pay staff salaries with love, and you can't give relief to Bangladesh with good will.

Bible says a minister should be paid, but the ultimate question is really how much? five million a year might sound good, but for one man and his family? Actually money is need for ministery. Cost and needs of ministries need to be examined and how many people are needed for the task. How much can be done volunteerly and who needs to be paid. Each church group needs to deside by a board, Each ministry needs a board of directors with the pastor on it not necessarily always the boss of it. Church needs to have checks and balances like government, though even governments can be corrupt at times, but it is for the safety of everyone dealing with money.
