Has anyone here dealt with a copy-cat of the 12 Tribes called Tsion Hadasha? They are in Selmer Tennessee. They are led by a man named David Taylor, who is called 'Noah'.

I have talked to some of the women in Tsion Hadasha. They seemed nice enough, but still a cult. I was trying to find out the same thing myself. I know the community in hamburg and have moved in and out a couple of times. Anonymous, do you know the twelve tribes? What was your experience with them? please respond!!!!

i have a few friends who were/are in it. if you decide to leave the group, you are looked upon as one who is leaving God. Why? because you won't find a truer form of "church" anywhere else. this way of thinking is bondage of the worst kind.

Check out today's (sunday) article in the northwest florida daily news (fort walton beach).

Tsion Hadashah now calls itself Rose Creek Village.

i was in tsion for 1 year . it is such an obvious cult. the people from geneva florida are the only ones running it still. they are super clickish and so have little hopes of growing. i understand that they have "normalized" a bit in that they are not dressing like elves and fairies any more. but noah taylor is like the rest. he has been married before, had a "physical" church sleeping with people he counseled . he was thrown out of florida and tenn was detiny for him, considering he had a free place to be with all his culties with him. he is a child molester, like the rest, and a theif, like the rest. and lived like a king while those in the group suffered tremendously. weird place ,these cults

Hi my name is Pete. I was in the cult when it was in geneva.I left because the groups leader Noah (a.k.a. David Taylor) was being called to tenessee, and I wasnt being called. They told my wife to stay with the group, and follow God. And that soon she would have a Godly husband. So she went to tenessee with our 5 children. This all happened in 1997. I would tell people to be very afraid of them. They are Evil, and will lie to protect themselves....

Of course it sounds like the twelve tribes. Noah (a.k.a.David Taylor) Was involved with the twelve tribes in the early 90s. He invited some of the elders of the tribe to see his church in geneva florida. He lost half of his church members to the tribe. But as you can see with rose creek. He has learned from his mistakes.....Pete

Here is the latest with the lawsuit in FT Walton Bch
Lawsuit against DCF continues

Fort Walton Beach - 3/19/2004
SHALIMAR — A judge on Wednesday declined to rule in favor of the Florida Department of Children and Families in a lawsuit claiming it placed a woman’s children with their father, who took them to live with an alleged religious cult in Tennessee.
Circuit Judge Jere Tolton denied the DCF’s motion for summary judgment against Karen Jane Harper.
Harper sued the DCF in 2001, claiming the agency wrongfully removed her four children and allowed them to go with their father, David Wilson, to the Tsion Hadashah religious community in western Tennessee.
In its motion, the DCF disputed what it calls Harper’s "slanderous accusations," and said Harper has offered no evidence to support those claims.
Harper claims the children suffered physical and emotional abuse and lived in filthy conditions at the religious community.
No trial date has been set in the case.

Pete,

Would you please post the URL for the Alternative Tsion Hadashah message board? I have misplaced it and would like to see what's going on over there these days.

Thanks!

I've met quite a few people that used to be in this cult, located in Selmer, TN area. Now, they have a village called Rose Creek and their restaurant Another Realm. Formerly called: Ya's Kingdom, The Church at Bethel Springs, Tsion Hadasha & I don't know what else. Here's what concerns me.

A couple yrs ago they had all sorts of information about them on the web. They stated, "We aren't Christians", "We're the cult in Selmer, TN", they had page upon page of their "theology" and information about them on the web. Stories of communing with fairies, etc. Now it's all gone. Now, they say they are Christians and are mainstreaming in society. They don't have to have their Hebrew names given by Noah, they can dress normally.

But, they have never ever repented to anyone and acknowledged they were wrong. IF they had changed their ways (which I see no evidence of), wouldn't they have placed as many pages on the net telling how they were wrong and confessing their error as they have placed in the past claiming they were of God?

Now, I hear that we should accept them as Christians, they are doing nothing wrong, that everything we heard in the past was just a rumor.

I was told they began changing 3 years ago and have now corrected themselves. Well, I personally read their garbage 2 years ago, so I know it wasn't 3, but even so, is there anyone that knows what they are really doing now days. If you go out there, they'll tell you one thing, but what's the truth?

Here is what Kallah recently said about Noah on the new Rose Creek Village page:
When we gather, all the men talk and share what they have from God. There are three men, though, that are "shepherds" or "leaders". Simply put, they are three men that have a single heart toward God, that are full of His spirit, and are committed day and night to being in perfect unity with each other, and to taking care of the people without reserve. They also run the businesses here.

One of them is named Noah - he's our Papa - we call him Abba. Abba is the Hebrew word for Daddy. When you look at the pictures, he's the handsome man with the white hair and beard. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/happy.gif We have seen God use him when this whole thing began in Geneva. He has built up men and women to hear God and learn to be spiritual. He isn't the one and only "pastor" or leader, and isn't the only one who speaks in the gatherings. As it says in the writings, each one has a part. He needs us and we need him.

I had been trying to find there website cause I wanted to see what was going on over there and I found this message board. How are you doing? Do you ever go there?

Guess I will also say that I have visited Rose Creek and well if people want to be controled and live under the rule of a man rather than the Holy Spirit of God that is their choice as for me and my house we shall serve the LORD... The community has some great aspects and some of the things Shammah says about their life together are true but some things are not true. I still agree with the concept of one life, one people, one community of believers but along with that God put diversity in His body... and there is only one head that should control the individual parts and that head is Messiah... God formed in us His manifold (multi colored as the many facets of a diamond) wisdom so that we might proclaim through our life together the glory of God to the principalities and powers that would desire to divide us... Messiah came to break down the barrier walls of division between us, Jew and Gentile and every one who calls on His Name... To make us one in Him, a family the house or dwelling place of God.
But I do not agree with them in the idea that in order to live together in His life with one another that we have the right by action or word to minipulate others to our will or make them subject to our wind of doctrines.
We are all different and that is the wonder of God's life in us! May we learn to share and grow in Him as He leads and we love one another.
Thanks for all your comments

I wanted to throw in a update here.

As you all know, I left RCV in June of 2006, and said some nasty stuff about them. (true by the way) I repented and asked to come back. (my usual M.O. battered spouse pattern) They told me not to contact them for 6 months and I havent spoken to them since.
http://www.factnet.org/discus/messages/3/22127.html

Seems like there are increasing amounts of people/families being "sent away" at RCV due to "dissent"!

Their numbers have increased, logistics demand that control be tightened which is in turn squeezing out the love, the intimacy...

Also their "economic complex" is failing and they are sending people out into "the world" to find jobs and bring home paychecks. They just cant stand to curtail their vacations, trips to Walmart and Dairy Queen and suffer a little. They have grown fat and comfortable and must keep their standard of living no matter what the cost.

They have lost their "first love" and have become an institution.

"Man the life rafts! Noahs Ark is sinking!!!"
