I don't get T.V. reception. Though, Bob Larson has written books against cults. He is solid on core beliefs of "orthodox christianity." I looked him up and he is 63 years old, and his first book was written 40 years ago. This is an intereting entry on wikipedia:
"As Larson continued with the exorcism, Safran's behaviour changed rapidly. He lost his characteristic lisp, becoming violent and angry, and he began to speak in the characters of several of the spiritual figures that he had investigated in previous episodes, including the voodoo spirit Papa Gede[1] and the Hindu god Hanuman. The exorcism focused mainly on Biblical Old Testament scripture; however, Larson advised Safran that to accept Jesus was needful in order to cast out the demons. Larson used this television appearance to promote a tour to Australia in 2004.
John Safran made subsequent radio appearances on Australia's Triple J radio, where he insisted that it was not an act, although he was not convinced that it was entirely a spiritual experience. He also admitted that he may have been psychologically manipulated by Larson.[citation needed]"
It sounds like the real thing. Bob Larson is going to have a seminar a few miles from my house on January 11th, free.
Do you think that I should go?

It is odd there isn't a large thread about him. I have heard him many times and seen several documenteries on his ministry. He is either got one of the strangest, most accurate deliverance ministries I've ever seen, or he is a master at the psychology of his work.
He was NOT exposed or proven a fraud in the documenteries. Try as they might, they found no plants or planned things. It was left mostly out there for the watcher to decide for themselves. Seems I recall that some people were found to receive deliverance at more than one of his meetings though, which lent a little skepticism.
I think he's for real, but sometimes people are good actors or whatever when they are on the spot. What I saw and heard was somewhat convincing, though i admit I've never seen another ministry quite like his. He preaches a fairly hard word sometimes though.
I would go see him if I had the chance, easeltine, because it would be very interesting. Be careful though. He might cast those tongues out of you http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gifhttp://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gifhttp://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif Bob Larson, Dr. Walter Martin, and Josh McDowell/Don Stewart all have one think in common - They do not list Pentecostalism as a Cult - Only the "Rev." Sandy does that. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif
I think that if I stood beside Bob Larson when he ministers we would both be speaking in tongues!
