Well, all-right now!

This is going to be, then,

THE FUN THREAD!!!!!!

I am hereby designating it that.

Anyone entering THIS thread, and voicing condemnation
or any other form of malice or deceit, will be subject to
my particularly favorite form of persecution: i.e.: SATIRE.

So then, if you can dish it out, but can't take it, don't start a fight.

Todays' topic ( since I appear to be talking to myself,
much the same as our local parrot does,
and I am going to amuse myself,
whether or not anyone else wants to,
or cares to weigh in on heady matters ) will be:

To drink or not to drink?

THAT is the question.

I believe that there is some scripture related to that.

First the negative:

'Be not drunken with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit'.
Ephesian 5:18

Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine...
1 Tim. 3:8

For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine , Titus 1:7

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine...... Titus 2:3

He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. Proverbs 21:17

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! Isaiah 5:11

But they also have erred through wine , and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine , they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. Isaiah 28:7

Now the others:

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. Ecc. 9:7

A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. Ecc.10:19

Jesus manufactures wine for his friends, as His FIRST miracle.
John 2:11

Drink no longer water, but use a little WINE for thy stomach's sake
and thine often infirmities. 1 Tim. 5:23

So then, WHAT is the conclusion of the matter?

Well, I say, that there is someone here
that is WAY overdue for a cold beer.

http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

( I added the smiley face, because I know that makes him happy )

BTW: the evil doctors say that a drink a day, is good for the heart.
Personally, I don't agree with that, but I'm not going to blast
someone who has an occasional glass of wine or whatever.
I think that the key here is, not to be an excessive drunkard,
and to understand that drink can dull the senses
and understanding when it is taken to excess.

I can't wait to hear the outcry.

First there was name calling.
Then there was the Stooges reference.
( BTW: Did you know that I can do a really good 'Curley walk'? )
Now I am sitting here having a shot of tequila.

Ya know, something?

I am free, my friends.

NOT free to sin, but free to enjoy the goodness that the Lord has
provided for me. You know it's also not going to kill you if you
happen to hear an old rock and roll tune that you like either.

I'm kind of into Mexican Folk myself now-a-days.

Can you be happy?

I can be happy, and at the same time, be thankful in the Lord.

I don't have to worry, anymore.

I don't have to be afraid of whatever.

Did you know that the other morning, I woke up, and got into my car,
to go to work, and a song came on the radio. And that song, though it was
not a Christian worship song, made me feel soooooo good, that I
began to worship the Lord.

Why?

BECAUSE I AM FREE.

I DON"T LET THIS LEGALISTIC CRAP GET ME DOWN.

OOOOOOPS!

I said a bad word.

OK.

I'll change it for the sake of those who have weak consciences:

I don't let legalistic EXCREMENT get me down.

There.

Did that make a difference?

Oh, I forgot to mention, there is a fish-fry this Friday evening
at the local Roman Catholic church. It's purty good fish, and it's
not too bad at $6.50 each. Yeah I know that it's offered in conjunction
with part of their ritualistic and pagan worship, but hey.

I CAN EAT IT.

I'M FREE.

Are you?

Hombre,

Given my age, I never really got into the Three Stooges. I was always partial to Sanford and Son (of course, that was back when we had a TV).

As for strong drink, it seems that I read somewhere "be not drunk with wine." Since nothing was said about beer, then I will have an occasional cold one.

Seriously, I look at it like Paul. I can pretty much eat and drink what I want in moderation. However, if it is going to cause someone to stumble (or start type out a prophecy on FactNet), then I should refrain.

I wonder what Kenneth Copeland likes?

Have a great evening all and "Roll Tide" - Alabama just beat Florida 31 to3!

(of course, that was back when we had a TV).

Hombre:
Looks like you got another one.
I am going to have to come over
and apply garlic and holy water to it.

Did you know:

There are still areas in the world where the indigenous peoples still believe,
that their 'soul' can be stolen through photography?

Duncan:
However, if it is going to cause someone to stumble
(or start type out a prophecy on FactNet), then I should refrain.

I wonder what Kenneth Copeland likes?

Hombre:
You are pushing the limits of the ability of a certain someone,
to refrain from his cacophonies.
I believe that Kenneth Copeland, probably likes being drunk with power.
BTW: I don't mean the high caffeine exercise beverage.

I've also always wondered, when we have someone who is representing himself,
as a five fold minister (remembering that these positions are directed
and appointed by Jesus Christ Himself ), how does one go about checking
these credentials?

I would assume that if they are indeed directly appointed,
that not only should their message line up with the Word of God,
but also then, there should be signs following and confirming their message.......

Am I correct in this assumption?

Next.

I feel really bad about all of those ministers in the churches out there who
are proclaiming themselves to be pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets....
( well, I haven't seen anybody yet who says that he/she/it is an apostle) ,
and not only do they NOT have ANY signs following ( Mark:16 ),
but also are explaining away every promise of God, except the sweet by and by.

Is it any wonder that the unbelieving world doesn't have time for church?

Why should they?

In essence, they think that our God is basically powerless
or disinterested in what goes on in the earth.

Confusing disasters as 'Acts of God' ( read any insurance policy ),
they fail to realize, that God is not impressed with anything except FAITH.

He said that faith the size of a mustard seed would move a mountain.

Today, we have ministers that don't have enough faith to move a gnat.

What gives?

Thanks for the humor!!!

Oh...I forgot to say:
DUNCAN: YOU SAID BAD WORDS ABOUT PEOPLE.

http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

Duncan:
Please let Hombre and me know, and we will be more than happy to join with you in prayer.

That's nice to know, but it still doesn't answer the questions at hand.

I did not realize that you believe yourself to be God.

Since you claim to know the thoughts and the intentions of the heart
(and since the Bible states that only God can do that), you must be God!
Not only that, you have repeatedly claimed that you are perfect
(which only Jesus is), then logic tells us that you must be Jesus.
And since you are attempting to convict men of their sins
(which is the job of the Holy Spirit), then you must be the Holy Spirit, as well.

Thanks for showing us how well versed you are in the ways of homosexuality.
Since you were the one who originally brought it up,
I am going to stick with my original observation and belief that you are, indeed, a homosexual.

The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination to God.
It is stated in both the old and the new testaments.
By allowing myself to be dragged into your little homosexual world
by answering your simple question has taught me a valuable lesson.

I truly hope and pray that you find the peace you are seeking
from this abominable lifestyle that you are struggling with.

I would be more than happy to have a discussion that doesn't
require me to pull out my old Psychology 101 textbook for tips
on handling people with serious mental deficiencies.

I have realized, that we need people like that around,

Hombre:

Have you heard that they are making a sequel to the movie "The Sixth Sense." If you haven't seen the original, it's a pretty good flick starring Bruce Willis.

In the sequel, Willis will reprise his role and join Fivefold for the most anticipated movie of the holiday season. I was able to get my hands on an advanced script. The following is a scene from the movie:

Willis: "What's wrong with you kid? Why are you acting so strange?"

Fivefold: "I'm scared."

Willis: "What's there to be scared of?"

Fivefold: "I see gay people!"

I think it will be a movie the whole family can enjoy!

I am still looking, though, for the verse that says:
'Don't call people names'.

You know, why is it that we can assign our friends

.... yet to say the same thing to someone else, it becomes an insult?

For now on, I have decided to give our best friend a nickname.

I thought this forum was for people who had experienced all things Hobart Freeman and FA. It was for them to share/release, not a forum for those still attached to it. If we read what this forum falls under, we see it says Factnet.org and if we scroll down, we find numerous cults that people have been involved with. Hombre, Five Fold Fool, Cougar and Duncan seem to have made this forum a place to embrace and be nostaligic about all things FA, turning away those who might want to post something more in line with the original thread.

Healed,

Please feel free to post anything you like. Like you said, this forum is for people who experienced Hobart Freeman and FA, and it is for them to share/release. I think that is exactly what people are doing.

You can't really have a meaningful discussion if you don't hear both sides of the story. I agree that many people went through some bad situations a FA, but there were also some who had some good experiences.

Also, some people went through bad experiences at FA, but remain strong in their Christian faith. I know you have said in the past that you are not a Christian. That being said, don't confuse someone remaining strong in the Lord for being a die-hard supporter of FA.

Just my thoughts.

Since the subject in this thread is humor,
and since I am the jerk who started it,
I would have to say that, though I am in
complete agreement with Duncans' thoughts here,
we are swerving from the topic.
Which again would be: Humor, specifically with
regards to the satirical exploitation of self-designated targets.
Please remember to be politically correct,

Welll,......nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah!

I see that the lack of sound relevant intellectual material
and food for thought remains a challenge for some.

...perhaps it is because they have nothing constructive to say.

Oh yeah, I almost forget:

YOU'RE OFF TOPIC HERE.

So then, I will attempt to steer it back.

What does an unbeliever say when
a believer confronts him about his ultimate destination plans?

Choose the appropriate answer:

1. I'll be in hell, because that's where all my friends are.
2. I don't know, who cares?
3. Religion is for the weak. there is nothing but darkness
beyond, There is no life beyond death.

Ok, Ok, I know....that one wasn't very funny.

I'll try again:

What did the unbeliever do when he saw things written in the Bible, that he didn't like?

Choose the appropriate answer:

1. He closed the book and tried to pretend that he didn't see what he saw.
2. He closed the book, and explained it away, saying it isn't relevant for today.
3. He closed the book, and said it didn't matter anyway,
because the Bible is nothing but a collection of Jewish fables.
4. He spent countless hours trying to refute what was clearly stated,
by digging maniacally through the concordance desperately trying to find contradictions.

http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

Ha-ha-ha!!!

Hey!

That was a good one Hombre!!!

( I am not in the habit of explaining witicisms,
because it kind of destroys the punch;
but In case you need to have that one explained,
I will give you this clue: There are a number of people
who consider themselves to be wise in their own eyes,
yet God says that they are fools. )

How many Fivers does it take to change a light bulb? 14

One to change the bulb.
One to say he didn’t like Dr. Freeman’s light bulb.
One to accuse Mark Scaliotti’s joke about a 3-way light bulb as being immoral.
One to consistently misspell the word “does” as “dose.”
One to defend the light bulb in Kenneth Copeland’s office.
One to post 47 scriptures related to letting your light shine.
One to post that we should love those who only have a 40-watt bulb.
One to bash those who only have a 40-watt light bulb.
One to say he liked Dr. Freeman’s light bulb.
One to prophecy that as the tree grows tall, so shall the light bulb burn out.
One to accuse Mark Scaliotti for name calling by referring to a certain light bulbs as fluorescent, neon and incandescent.
One to bash all those who do not agree that his 100-watt bulb went to hell to obtain its light.
One to stand by the door and constantly turn the light switch on and off.
And finally, one to post that a punk lighter is not really a stick used to light fireworks but is, in fact, a gay light bulb.

If I happened to forget any, feel free to add to this list.

One to accuse Mark Scaliotti for posting dirty jokes on a pronographic website.
One to accuse Mark Scaliotti for saying the Bill Clinton was gay.
One to accuse Mark Scaliotti for going to the arm of the flesh for praying FOR the war in Iraq.
One for Five to see that he is wrong on the above accusations.

So...all of the above is truth. The other dribble posted by five is nothing but dribble.
I would rather see Freeman blamed for 100 deaths than to follow a false teacher/prophet/heretic like Copeland who leads millions astray in his deceptions and heresies. God will judge this man severely, especially when he deliberately perverts the doctrine of the atonement.

And now, in keeping with the stylistic achievements of the most odious member of the board,
I shall attempt to monopolize the thread, through the manifold usage
of multiple postings in a row, in order that others might see my thoughts
to be the most important, by means of repetition, if not by content.

Anyway.......

Mark, my advice.......

I am seeing a problem here, that I don't think is going to be solved
through common sense, and logical reasoning. What I am seeing here
is a combination of spiritual oppression and blindness, accompanied by
what psychologists would refer to as obsessive compulsive behavior,
further aggravated by a messianic complex.
Some might want also to refer to this exhibited behavior as
dictatorial pedantic demagogy.
My point is that, although this fellow hides behind a volume of scriptures,
that do not necessarily support his viewpoint, and although he offers
friendship through the acceptance and confession of your alleged sins,
what is really happening here, is an attempt to validate his claims
as a true prophet of God, in which he then can obtain the upper hand
on you or anyone else, on any particular topic he chooses at any given time.
This is controlling, manipulative behavior at it's worst.
I said it before in another post, but I believe that there comes a point in time,
where one has to simply ignore someone who refuses to listen.
I know the 70 times 7 rule, but, this is an attempt to assassinate your character,
and gain power, and the guy is not going to give up.
There are a multitude of issues that we could talk about, without going back
and spinning around in this stupid rut that he chooses to remain locked into.
Another problem is that he is such an obnoxious poster in his style of presentation,
that it makes it difficult to find others' responses hidden between his.
I think you are going to have to remain faithful to your pledge,
in reporting his repeated attempts to besmirch your character,
otherwise, it is simply going to continue.
