What shines through powerfully on this Board is that the critics of EN / MSI / MCM (and doubtless any other church whose doorstep they may ever darken, just wait for the next blog on the next church they visit)...

....cannot tolerate any views of the Bible different from their own.

If Every Nation believes different than do they, they smear EN with names like "cult" and the like, and try to invalidate, discredit, smear, and attack.

Would it be possible for the critics of EN on this Board to ever say "I see the Bible this way. You see the Bible that way. Some day Jesus will come back and show us who was right. Until that day, PEACE BROTHER... God Bless you."

One great leader preaches about how he makes a point to BLESS those who persecute him. JESUS PROMISED YOU WILL BE BLESSED when people persecute you, so he rejoices (much as his flesh hates to do so and it is difficult).

He makes a point of sending a GIFT to someone who has hurt him, such as putting them on his Christmas list. He says -- quoting Jesus Himself -- that by doing so he is receiving (eventually) both earthly and eternal rewards.

Here, however, despite the repeated attempts to PRETEND to be giving historical or factual complaints, the careless and erroneous nature of those discussions -- filled with editorializing rather than facts, faulty logic, and facts so loose that they crumble when examined -- indicates that the REAL THEMES of these criticisms are THEOLOGICAL.

But why then can't you just start a blog saying:

" I THINK PERSONAL PROPHECY IS BUNK AND IS NOT FOR TODAY, AND WHAT'S MORE IT IS A FERTILE GROUND FOR ABUSE. I AM OPPOSED TO PERSONAL PROPHECY IN THE CHURCHES TODAY. WHAT DO YOU THINK?"

(or INSERT HERE whatever theological issue you might have a problem with)

....without trying to silence and intimidate those who hold different views, without personalizing it to any one church.

HOW DO YOU DEFEND your unwillingness to allow anyone else to hold a theological view different from your own?

thanks for the warning on identities, dust. pretty disturbing.

as i recall, altheia left this board last year due to real-life intimidations from EN members in his/her area.

jon: EN is a cult. EN is a cult. EN is a cult.

what you are experiencing is shock, denial and heated emotions after you discovered this board exists. it is disconcerting to you to be faced with the reality that you were a member of a cult. you allowed yourself to get swooned by the
power, hierarchy, spritual treadmill. and what grates your nerves is that you were duped...and you didn't realize it even after you moved on.

i bet you are still suffering from the repercussions of your time in EN.

post traumatic stress disorder is common among former members of a cult.

i suggest that you purchase and read several books on cults by former cult members in order to understand your confusion and anger.
