Finding out that EN had recently planted a church in Charlotte made me wonder--it seems EN had a perfect candidate to simply co-opt a church rather than start a brand-new one. Namely, World Worship Center here in Charlotte, pastored by Lloyd Bustard.

He's a Canadian expatriate who operates in the "prophetic" (uh-oh). The guy seems to be as hardcore Latter Rain as EN, and even more so than the Sheltons were in St. Louis. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise--after all, the Latter Rain WAS born in Canada.

What's more, his church is much closer to UNCC--so unless most of the UNCC EN chapter comes from the southeastern portion of town (where they're meeting right now.

A woman from his church, Donica Hudson, hosts a show on the local public access channel, "Charlotte Alive," which is dedicated to showcasing "citywide transformation" in the Charlotte area.

Check him out:

Hi Blue
Cannot answer in specifics but in order to be co-opted you have to co-operate. In order to be lured into EN (or as in my case into MCM) one has to be a CO- conspirator. That is the person being trapped in EN or MCM is actually helping set their own trap.

My guess is that the answer is either 1) EN did not know about the church or think it was a suitable target or 2) the pastor said "Hell no we won't go and threw them out on their keisters"

You see in order to be coopted the Pastor and Elders have to open the door. Hence we use the word COOPTED instead of OPTED. LOL!@

Hmmmm ... the idea that Bustard told Rice and Co. where to go and how to get there does make sense. According to a friend of mine who was a member of an AofG that's turned hardcore Latter Rain, EN's reputation is pretty dubious even in Latter Rain/Kingdom Now circles. Now that's bad, brother.
