Where are you Bill I miss your cantankerous and rambling posts
I miss you too Bill. Merry Christmas.
I believe it was Christmas day of 2003 that Bill started this board under the name ANON. Everyone back then was ANONYMOUS.
There has been some restructuring of the board and I can't find his first post. I wanted to post here in a sort of memorium.
Bill had no idea he would get the response he has gotten from all over the world, spanning many decades. I would like to wish him the very best of God's blessing.
Bill, pop in and say Hi.

Dust,
Bill's first message was written on Christmas Day on 2002. To look at the first message of this discussion board go to Religious Cults and Sects section on the board and then click on Maranatha Latter Rain and you will find Maranatha Latter Rain Original Thread, click on it and you will see Bill's first post.
I remember that in the beginning of 2004 I was feeling desperate. I wanted to find answers. I wanted to see if other people had been as badly wounded in Maranatha as myself. I was sure that what I experience in Maranatha cause me to make decisions that were affecting my present life but I could not prove it. I had a tremendous desire to find people who when trough the same pain. I felt that God was telling me that I was not just one of the very few isolated cases. I felt inside my conscience that more people were going through a similar pain and I wanted to find them. I was feeling that something was seriously wrong with Maranatha but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was.
I did a google search for former members hurt by Maranatha and I was reading a file that said that Maranatha was part of the latter rain movement. Then I click on google Maranatha Latter Rain and while I was reading other information of the latter rain movement the factnet notice board jumped up in my screen and Bill's first post was in front of my eyes. It was a miracle!!
I have also copied and pasted Bill Mac's first post.

I have finished a 3-year investigation into Marnanatha Christian Church/Maranatha Campus Ministries and the other names this New Order of the Latter Rain occult organization goes by. I would like to hear from past and previous King's Park, Maranatha, or any organization whose leaders have been or currently are Bruce Harpel (Minneapolis) Tom May (Dekalb, Illinois), Tree of Life in Boston, "apostle" Rice Broocks, Greg Ball,Steve Murrell, etc. What I am specifically looking for is reference to prophetic teachings and past prophetic teachers like Bill Britton, George H. Warnock, etc. The discovery period is over and now an expose' is being written so anybody who has been the victim of mind-control (thought reform) under the color of "discipleship/shepherding" or "submission to authority" and/or "doctrine of Covering". You are not alone if you have found yourself told by these false leaders if they accused you of have the "spirit of Jezebel" or the "Absolom Spirit" or a host of other spirits. I'd especially like to hear from current college students who like to think for themselves and not simply believe everything their are told while in an altered state of consciousness after singing a few song in these churches. You still love Jesus, but you sense there is "something wrong" but you can't quite put your finger on what it is.

wow.
Pligrim,
Thank you. You are awesome, and I know you have the same heart for Bill that I do, and much appreciation for him.
Christmas Day as the birth of this exposure is very fitting. For some, (perhaps many) it has been a birth of the freedom of Christ in their life. Certainly true for me.
