It has been wonderful to meet old friends and new friends on this board. I've enjoyed hearing about jobs and kids and new adventures. I was in a pretty good place about my MCM years, but I have to say, it's been very healing to schmooze with all of you.
Would anyone be open to a "reunion" of sorts at some time in the future, a reunion focused on all the good things, friendships and family, not the unpleasant parts of the past. I'm talking months away, not weeks. I know we all have busy lives. Mine is beyond hectic right now.
Nashville, Clarksville, Paducah, elsewhere?
Really, I'm just curious. I don't want to reopen wounds or make anyone feel pressured or uncomfortable. I come in peace.
Your thoughts?

Latrobe is sending "old latrobe" the glass lined tank. How do I know this so well I am reading straight from the bottle,it is happy hour in tennesssee!
unfortunately the groom is a man of God and the bride is a virtuous woman ,the only bar at the reception will be a cereal bar(no joke at the grooms request)
I am looking for a place to stash the rocks. The reception is going to be like a hoe down square dance at the Farmers Market.I am having my four four altered so I can showcase my tutu.(after a few rocks)

I would love to be a part of this if you guys don't mind a "slightly younger old geezer" joining you . . . if there's enough notice, I can combine with plans to see family in TN . . .

I have always wanted to go to Murray's Leisure Time Social. The difference between Bob's MLTS and Murrays...is that Murray will be inbibing spirits at his rather than casting them out

uh, tikie, if you check the lexicon i think its possible after imbibing enough spirits that miltie will be casting some out

miltie-"unfortunately the groom is a man of God"
since it appears that miltie is well into happy hour and reading from the bottle, maybe I can ease in here and let everybody know that I don't think milton means that the way it sounds. just in the context of having to go the extra effort to hide the Rocks at the wedding.
tikie-"...before the white throne..."
and Jesus and the white horse are a few stables down

I'd love to make it, but I am quite a distance from Cookeville--- in New Mexico.

Congratulations and mazel tov, Miltie! Unfortunately, the situation with my dad is unsteady right now, but I appreciate the invite.
I'm serious. Somewhere, sometime, somehow...the true overcomers will meet...for grilled burgers and an ice cold Rolling Rock.
