Dust and I had both thought about starting a prayer request thread here on factnet. We thought about it separately in the same week, and I just think it is a good idea.

My request right now is for God's protection as I step out and begin a new part of my life as an author. It is a desire that He gave me 5 years ago, and I have ideas for 2 books, but am clueless on the whole process.

Pray for my family's protection from the enemy's attacks, for me to have grace to get this done, and for me to keep myself humble as I pursue something I feel God is calling me to do.

Pray for clarity in thought, and for sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and for things to just flow once I get started.

Pray for diving connections with publicists that will be more than eager to publish my books...(if I ever complete them!)

Thanks!

I value your prayer for the Next Generation in my community. I have a list of 60 plus Skate Park kids I am on my knees praying for. Keeps me going. Praying for the Next Generation to usher in the Glory of God. Thank you.

I don't know if prayers are helpful in this case, but I want a boyfriend (and I want him to be genuinely likable not barely tolerable).

J2 - God can do great things...however, the genuinely likable from the barely tolerable..that's asking a lot.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/proud.gif

I will certainly keep you and the others in my prayers.

Judging form the shape of Forword today, my prayer request is that we can into shape for our Labor Day run. We're raising money for the Mercy Children's Clinic (non-profit, comprehensive medical treatment for children w/out insurance. Our trial run today was very challenging with the heat.

And, if anyone can suggest some very upbeat songs for us to load on our iPods for this race...

I pray MercyChildren'sClinic far exceeds their goal, and that we exceed our personal goal of raising $1000 because this is a worthy cause. I KNOW where the money is going. I work there as a volunteer. And, it feels so good to be a part of something so basic as a child's health care, right in my community. Several churches contribute and no one gets to brag!

I'm not sure what style you like, but you asked for suggestions so here I go...

The Miami Vice Soundtrack (the Colin Farrell movie) had a quite a few pretty decent dance tracks on it.

Annie Lennox
Walking On Broken Glass
Little Bird
Arcade Fire
Rebellion (lies)
Billy Idol
Rebel Yell
Rock The Cradle of Love
Billy Joel
The River of Dreams
Christie Lee
Bruce Springsteen
Murder Incorporated
Buddy Holly
Oh, Boy!
It's So Easy
The Cars
Just What I Needed
My Best Friend's Girlfriend
Madonna
Ray of Light
Metallica
Whiskey In The Jar
Michael Jackson
Smooth Criminal (I think Alien Ant Farm did a very fast cover of it a few years ago)
O-Zone
Dragostea Din Tei (AKA the Numa Numa song)
The Proclaimers
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)
t.A.T.u. has a lot of good dance songs including
All The Things She Said
Not Gonna Get Us
Robot

And now I don't feel like going through my music collection further, but I will pray for you.
