How does an IP address determine authorship?
ericlaw (ericlaw)

Because the message following the one I linked to says, "I am Paul Stevens." Both messages have the same IP number. Both messages were posted within a minute of each other.
Now, was the person really Paul Stevens who posted this? Only 1 or 2 people know that, one being Paul Stevens. Now that this post has been brought to the top perhaps he can confirm or deny actually being the one that posted it.
I only posted that because someone asked for a letter of his repentence, this is the only thing that I have come across in my reading of older posts.

Well, since he has posted recently, under the handle "whocaresanymore," I believe, I would think he is capable of posting it himself if he wants it posted.

Did others want their letters posted? Interesting...now we're being selective.
arguendo (arguendo)
04-25-2005, 07:47 PM
You have some proof to back up that accusation?
As far as I know, nothing has been posted without the permission of the author or the letter itself stated that it was an "open letter."

Forte,
Why don't you ask P. Graziano, the one who posted his own letter and the others. Besides, the affiliates letters have to do with the ministry information that everyone should have. Who knows what Paul Stevens letter is about.
forte (forte)
04-25-2005, 09:18 PM
Ya know, I just can't touch this one.
But I will go as far as saying that some things HAVE been posted without the author's permission. Water under the bridge now.

The next time you think of accusing me of something untoward, I suggest you not go there.

Arguendo,
I just have to give you a BIG compliment. I really like how your mind works. I truly enjoy rational people who can think quick on their feet and you are one of those people.
forte (forte)
04-26-2005, 04:18 PM
Let's see...because I won't name the person that didn't give their permission to have their letter posted I'm not allowed to suggest that perhaps it shouldn't have been posted? Oh, no, I'm not allowed to even suggest the possibility of anyone being selective because no one has posted or shows interest in posting a supposed letter by Paul Stevens? You, Arguendo, seem a little defensive. I could, by the same manner say how obvious cape_cod is being by calling me irrational and not a quick thinker. Oh, my, how dare cape_cod insult me.
I really don't mean to offend any one and if I do, it's not alright, but you go right ahead and insult me, okay, because it is alright.

Forte,
You infer letters were posted without permission. Are you addressing myself or Pastor Graziano? I posted Pastor Skip Wood's letters with his permission. Tom Schaller sent his letter to all the affiliates. It was an open letter and it was given to me by an affiliate to post. If you inferring something else, my understanding is it was addressed privately with the parties involved.
Maybe you are not aware how condescending, accusatory and vague you sound to the rest of us? This may not be your mindset but the effects of being in GGWO are apparent in your posts. Maybe you will not see it until you are out. Are you getting out, Forte? You never answered my questions in earlier posts. Are you a leader, a staff person, a member sitting in the congregation? Did you know what was "really" going on the last two years or did you faithfully attend and believe the pulpit was telling you the truth? What do you think of the Rome letter? Are you someone who sees Tom Schaller as the answer to the future of GGWO? You are on this forum for a reason and I am interested to know why..

Well after all, we all know that the pulpit is so anointed that no one could ever lie from it! Right?http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/sad.gif

Well the pulpit was occupied for decades by God's perfect anointed man with all that delegated authority and his new sidekick now. How could anything but the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth ever be spoken from it. Nothing like that could have ever happened in God's only true church.YEAH, RIGHT!!!!

"You, Arguendo, seem a little defensive."
Not defensive. Aggressive. I don't like passive aggressive BS and my SOP is to treat passive-aggressiveness as aggression.
You don't have to guess about my opinions. Go to the Alan Lang Payoff thread and you will find my opinions there. They have not changed. And I doubt that Paul finds them comforting or friendly.
The bottom line is that you don't know what you're talking about and you don't have the guts to say what's on your mind.

Forte,
My, my, aren't we the insecure one. I was NOT even trying to insult you in my above post. Trust me, IF I was intending to insult you, then you'd know it. I was simply paying Arguendo a compliment. Do you have a problem with that? Obviously, it seems that you DO.

Forte, please correct me if I'm wrong ... You made a specific statement about someone(s) posting something without permission. Agrue thought you were talking about her/him and you weren't. You came back showing Argue that what you said was misunderstood and misapplied and you illustrated it by showing from cape's post that by using Argue's logic cape indirectly was talking about you (which you don't believe). Then cape misunderstood you. Snowball affect.
Sincerely in Christ,
Duncan

The tufts of fur are piling up so high we can soon make a room-sized super shag rug! (For those of you too young to remember the mid-60's-early 70's - forgive me.)

Dear Her High,
Glad you brought that up.
I had a red shag rug in my first apartment.
It was 1966 and I moved out of my families' home.
The apartment was $60.00 a month, in an attic.
I fixed it up with a red shag rug (long pile) and some globe lamps...very modern then and so cool.
I made all my furniture from foam that I bought from a foam rubber place. I had a sofa, love seat, chair w/ottoman and bed..all made from big chunks of foam.
I worked 7 days a week.
When I would come home from work, my landlord/lady, (they lived on the 2nd floor) would be in my kitchen drinking coffee and I would think "what the hell, it's their house" LOL!
When I moved from there, I put all my furniture on the top of my VW Bug...
Sorry, I'm off track here...won't do it again... sorry.
