I am re-posting my first post on FN. At that time the saga had been going on for months in the back offices of GGWO. I remember when Tom said he was going to go to Carl alone, demand repentance and demand he step down. I guess Tom changed his mind about that..

I remember when CHS was completely incoherent, could no longer come into his office, could no longer teach ABD, could no longer preach, could no longer walk without help, could no longer counsel a single body member. The leaders wrung their hands and said "what should we do"? I remember when Dave Duff carried around in his briefcase for days a signed letter by then elders, forcing Carl to resign. They were are afraid to give it to him.

I remember when everyone decided Paul should be the one (with his siblings) to attempt an intervention. I remember Paul being reluctant to step in. I remember his friends, behind his back, saying to each other "it is time for Paul to step up to the plate and do this." I remember when they told him they would stand by him and with him if he did. I remember the day they all abandoned him when Carl's wrath turned on his son.

I remember the phone call in December 2003 from Dave Duff telling us CHS "had crashed from the drugs" and was dying. I remember Tom Schaller's rise to power during Carl's near death experience, which was touted to the body as a heart attack. I remember all the lies and the cover-ups. I remember my outrage and horror to realize I had been part of a corrupt group.... knowing they were lying to the people I loved, some of the most beautiful believers anywhere. I remember the dawning reality that there was no way to tell the truth in GGWO. I remember the day I decided to find a way to tell the truth no matter what. And I remember the day I found FACTNet and posted for the first time in fear.. It was a shout over a wall of a crazy compound.

What is occurring in GGWO/MBCS today is a continuation of the same saga. Tom has been preparing for his new kingdom in the atmosphere of deceit and devouring for almost two years. But today is NOT two years ago. We have men of God like P.Graz, Morin, Wood and more who also stepped away from the compound. We have Sandy Cove.

But we still have young people in this atmosphere, as one student said "how hard it is to be there on the property now... how weird it all seems... how you are made to feel like you are off or insane.. but you know what you see is not biblical"

We must not allow the walls to go up once again. We have young people actively exiting and helping others to exit this atmosphere. I pray the affiliate pastors can reach out to these young people and help them. Many of us have several degrees of separation from the compound on Moravia Park Dr. It is natural to forget how bizarre it is and much fear and aloneness there is when you see it for what it "really" is. I remember that fear..

A HUGE can of worms was opened and will remain open until others are saved from the corruption within the walls of Moravia Park Drive! Keep Silent- spiritual islands in man in the midst of stress, islands of God's love.

OVERTHINKING IS THE WORST ENEMY. Thinking becomes my provision not God. Thinking forms an opinion. How can you think with objectivity? How can you understand every thought you have? Thinking without understanding is overthinking. Overthinking in a trial of your faith, when you are accused falsely or suffering for righteousness's sake is self evaluation and it is not Grace evaluation.

Nothing causes deeper wounds than overthinking. Women are in deep cycles of depression from overthinking. Hyp-fo-na-o = putting your thinking above what God thinks. It is REJECTING THE PULPIT. We can prevent our discipline/ we can select our discipline. We are judged the most for our overthinking. The best way to discern God is in silence. In silence of consecration / in silence consider Jesus Christ/ only then can you hear him.

The still small voice meant silence. Tuning into His channel and not overthinking. You will be judged for the secret things(your unconscious volitional pattern not guarded by the heart)

Overthinking gets people into affairs, stress and secret resentment, don't choose what is convenient.

I hope the young people know not to go anywhere with anyone in the church/cult unless those leaders have repented and denounced the doctrines and the habits of TBS/GGWO. And, they should have a way to de-program the people.

My fear is that these people will go from one church/cult to another and they will unless there is total accountablity, including their own confessions and repentance....out loud, written down and posted for public consumption.

Boss, the verse is Is. 59:5. The true context is Isaiah describing the sins of Israel and how corrupt they had become.

Junior taught that if you listened to anything about him or "the ministry" you were engaging in evil. Just one "evil report" could enter into your mind and later "hatch." Then you would be vulnerable to being "taken over" by satan himself and become a member of the conspiracy against Stevens and GG. On the Taking Notes thread Schaller alluded to this when he talked about people being "of the scatterer." The result is when you leave the church you're old friends won't even talk to you, they don't want one of those "eggs" in their mind. Pretty sick, huh?

So the idea is that 'the pulpit' protects you from evil through what God passes down to His 'representational authority', who interprets His words for us and protects us from having to personally rely on the Holy Spirit. That makes things so much less complicated. We don't any longer have to rely on a fickle God by faith. We can rely on 'messengers' that we can see and audibly listen to. And they think having a pope is bad. At least he's not infallible in everything.

Let's clarify this a bit.

There are a lot of students who wont even speak to the pastors of their home churches! Some of the students are being told it is evil to ask questions of the leadership in Baltimore based the notion that the church is obviously fruitful, so those that are asking questions and writting letter are just 'decieved' and don't want the cross.

Ask yourself a question first. What is real fruit. What do you think a genuinely fruitful christian life looks like. When the word 'fruit' is used in Galatians 5:22-24 the NT deals with the quality of an inner, upward and outer life...love, joy, peace etc....

In contrast - Gal 5:19-21 expresses a bit more of what we've actually been seeing!

If the first group (love joy ...) things are in the church and abound, then I would agree it is fruitful.

There are men and women who've been esteemed and accepted by these men who are attacking them for years. What happened? Now that they ask questions and disagree, they're "off". The standing ovations continue in services etc...

Now I'm very happy that Pastor Schaller has said this past Sunday that the affiliates are free to make any choices they want and that he and leaders will love them and so forth...
There are two problems with this
1.Actions speak louder than words and he hasn't stopped the rap-attacks, or corrected the rap-attackers or repented to any of those who've been talked about.
2. I'm glad he's telling the church in Baltimore...what about the rest of us

This is just a sad state of affairs.

I am posting a letter received recently. It is from an overseas affiliate pastor's wife. It has been edited to keep the identity private. I am posting it because it is clear view of the deceptive thinking holding many in bondage to a very sick leadership. I am hoping some of the pastors reading the board could counterpoint the deception. I am hoping your words will equip students reading the board to counteract the twisted teachings they are receiving from the leaders in charge at Moravia Park Dr...


The Letter:

Thank you so much for telling us about your leaving the ministry. We are very sorry that you are not any more under the same authority with us. We have not read any of the gossip or accusations from internet against any pastor. We have been told years ago by Pastor Stevens that we should not listen or read anything evil from others. That gives a place for the devil to work in us. We know that without Pastor Stevens and Pastor Schaller we would not have the knowledge of the Finish Work of Christ and the vision for the lost. We have heard also that many lies have been told about Pastor Schaller, but we know him. He is sinner, but we all are. But he is on fire for God to preach. And we want to go forward with him and GGWO. We know that these are the end times and Satan is hates the work of the children of God. He wants us to be negative towards each other. Pastor Stevens and Pastor Schaller taught us that we should never speak evil towards one another, and that is the Word of God. We should love one another!! Those two men of God has paid the great price preaching the Gospel and leading Churches, having many burdens and still they stand strongly for God. (of course Pastor Stevens cannot do it so well any more because of he is sick and we understand that). We are very sad about what has happened in Baltimore and maybe in all the world . But if everyone, pastors included would humble themselves and pray for God's healing then He could do much more than before. We could get more people saved and into heaven with us than in those past years. The enemy would like to swallow all of us, so we would not be happy and serve the Lord with all our hearts. But I hope that we will not let him to get us.. may God help us all!! We love you all and pray for you, and hope that we would meet each other some day somewhere - at the latest in heaven!

(this really is the root of the problem, the word 'under' reflects something much less than the heart of true authority. True authority never places itself OVER others...but beneath, alongside and all around - besides aren't we under the authority of Christ together regardless of our church or affiliation???)

Leadership is accountable to the body, despite what it claims. It 5:19 describes the format for bringing issues to the leaders, it doesn't forbid it. Is it gossip for the elders to recieve the witnesses that Paul describes here???)

(We can certainly be grateful for the input of others people, but just becuase someone has done right by us, doesn't preclude us from correcting them when they desparetly need it)

Those two men of God has paid the great price preaching the Gospel and leading Churches, having many burdens and still they stand strongly for God.

(any standing we do should never incurr a debt to those following us. we serve because it is a priveledge)


(of course Pastor Stevens cannot do it so well any more because of he is sick and we understand that). We are very sad about what has happened in Baltimore and maybe in all the world .

Ok students...apparently the leadership in the College has said:
"It's all rumors. Nothing said in classes to cast dispersion on home church pastors."

I know for sure it is NOT rumors. You have called some of us and quoted verbatim what was said, and we believe you. But, you're there and if its possible, you need to stand up as well. Let the college leadership know what's happening directly. Tell them who, what, when and where and bring a witness with you. (if it's possible) You're not little children.

There are bunches of people who will help you, including a very trustworthy family in Baltimore who told me if you needed it, he'll foot your plane fare home.

I am not suggested you leave, I'm suggesting you stand and then leave.
