Very important post. Who is the pastor in Budapest? Are they getting the message? Who is Stengel? I have heard his name, but nothing about him. Can they change their decision?

Is there a list of all those who have officially dis-affiliated? I've seen a letter here and there but just wonder if they are posted all in one thread anywhere? Also, does anyone know what is going on with Daniel Lewis? Is he still a part of the leadership of Balt.?

God bless!

minutus,

Does that mean he has resigned? Thanks for the info.

Take care,

I don't know if it's official or not, but that's the end result.

... and I'll add one for you John Love:

We are ALL made in the image of God. Marriage came BEFORE the church and in fact instituted the first "church" (from a Covenantal perspective). As members of God' s house, our legitimate work (of any kind) unto and for God is sacred including the 1000's of hours that 100's of us labored to raise the money that paid the tithes and offerings that funded the settlement that GGWO was required (and rightly so) to relieve the suffering, displacement, and near destruction of the Lang family because of Paul M. Stevens adultery and the combined conspiracy that ensued (directly involving Carl H. Stevens) to discredit Alan Lang, attempt to destroy his family, and in the end try to coverup the whole matter.

How is GGWO going to answer this? When are you going to hold Carl H. and Paul M. Stevens responsible in good conscience and faith to make restitution for the several hundred-thousand dollars paid to the Langs?

The rummeration (from Carl and Paul) of this money belongs to the Church for the futherance of Kingdom of God. Paul and Carl violated the peace and purity of Christ's church. This is an affront to those of us who worked sacrifically (while being constantly pounded from Carl's pulpit to DO MORE in ministry on top of this).

Get some GUTZ and either make this right or step down from the minstry, PERIOD!

Now it is more close to the real story.
Interesting that after Lewis's visit to Kaliningrad, local church was informed that CHS has got insane and Tom Schaller is going to take power in Baltimore by force. Looks like half true (lies!). Looks like nothing about false doctrines etc.
It is all about POWER!!! Sorry guys and gals.
Some may take side of Tom Schaller some may take side of Dan Lewis (do you believe that "the Father of Polish GGWO" Roger Stenger, who stays silent btw, is really taking part in the race?). One result - lies flow out of both sources.

Dawn,
I think the pastor in Budapest is John Boyce. He used to be the pastor in Czech. Someone correct me if that is wrong.

Those are some good questions about the timeline. I have a couple more.

1. "Testimonies from the department heads revealed support for Pastor Schaller. Some department heads expressed confusion over the Elders’ choice of Pastor Stenger." So how come the department heads don't have to follow delegated authority? The elders decided, and the department heads didn't like it. I think I have to conclude that the current table of organization is whatever will yield the desired result.

2. First election: "There was a total of 722 ballots. There was no restriction on the age limit on those who had voted." Second election: "Criteria for voting: Anyone at least 16 years of age who considers themselves an active member of this local assembly." "Pastor Steve receives 289 votes, Pastor Schaller receives 800 votes, others receive 94 votes." It sounds like not having an age restriction on the first election makes it less valid. And yet 1189 people voted with second time (with an age restriction) compared to 722 people the first time (with no restriction). How come "voter turnout" was so much better the second time around? Especially with Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services "packed", it would seem that the two votes should have roughly similar numbers rather than a 65% increase the second time around.

3. Why is there no mention of Paul Stevens' demotion from the elder board in October, 2003?

4. "From 11/04 Elders discuss Pastor Stevens’ lack of involvement and activity in fulfilling overseer’s responsibilities." There were three months of non-involvement in July - October, 2003, and they just got around to discussing why this was a problem in November, 2004? Or were there additional periods of non-involvement? And an overseer's responsibilities...an overseer is an episkopos, a bishop. On this point, I believe the timeline is more accurate than was probably intended. Carl Stevens has, in fact, functioned bishop of Greater Grace - a bishop wielding far more power than the Roman Catholic equivalent for Carl effectively claims to speak ex cathedra all the time. You can say what you want about RCC theology, but they did recently manage an orderly election of a new bishop of Rome.

5. There were nine elders. Rodger Stenger resigned; that left eight. But there are only seven signatures. Obviously something got left out. What else got left out along the way?
