Here are a number of sites for lodging in the Freeport, Yarmouth, and Greater Portland areas. Please ask me if you'd like specific information about any particular place before booking -- a couple of the Portland venues are "extremely basic."

Alanna,

How many are coming so far???

Do I recall that we can bring our dogs, if leashed?

Are we going to wear name tags with our factnet names revealed, or not?

Are you going to be going formal and wearing your crown or tiara, or not?

(We want to keep up with the Maine fashion trend)http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/lol.gif

Offshore - Her Royalness will be in full regalia with ermine collar and crown. Her roayla entourage will be in armor and splender. We knights will be on security, using tin cans with strings to communicate. We could not afford hi tech surveillance and commnication equipment.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

Sir Ralph of Delerium

herroyalhighness (herroyalhighness)
05-02-2005, 09:33 PM
My dear lady Offshore - I haven't actually put the list into an excel file but I have personally heard from over 30 -- I am quite certain that there are more planning to attend. If you know of people who might not have responded, please let me know.

Dogs can be on a leash.

I really think it would be a good idea to have real and posting names on nametags...Since so many of us are way more gorgeous-looking than we were several years ago, it would be helpful - don't you think?

I haven't actually decided about the royal trousseau for the affair, but just because I wear the purple and the crown jewels does not mean that the courtiers should not be comfortable!

Sir Ralph will, of course, be in his dress whites with gold braid & eps!!

ralphwells (ralphwells)

oops, Kathleen used my eps to trim the new lounge pillows!http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/blush.gif

Perhaps we should all sport LLBean-wear as we will be within there orbit! Don't know what kind of a naval uniform you could put together from their catalogue...maybe we'd best stick to your best dress whites! Obviously, Kathleen wants to keep you as a landlubber!

"Since so many of us are way more gorgeous-looking than we were several years ago..."

Let's do paper bags over our heads since we have the name tags.

Didn't the New Orleans Saints' fans put out a copyright on paper bag headwear?

herroyalhighness (herroyalhighness)

The paper bag thing might be just the ticket! Can we use bags from designer shops?? Or must they be generic brown?

anova (anova)

Designer bags for the women.
Plain brown wrappers for the men.

herroyalhighness (herroyalhighness)

Oooooooh, what will I choose? - Coach, LV, Furla, D&B, Gucci -- so many choices...only one head!

Plain brown wrappers, w/orange-2-pay!

Is this paper bag suggestion part of the no touch love thing?

Maybe we should all be wearing gloves too.

saintly (saintly)
05-19-2005, 04:52 PM
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.) 6Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?
For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8And why not say, "Let us do evil that good may come"?--as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[h] who believe. For there is no difference; 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

Anna/Saintly/NewAngel and whoever else you might be also,

I noticed you have not touched the "Child's View" thread. I understand why... It is also a clear indication you are reading the posts. I am praying for you. I pray you hear the Spirit's voice and take the brave step to walk away from a church who allows the habitual sexual abuse of it's children. Your reason for being on the forum is not same reason God has you on the forum.

lee (lee)
05-19-2005, 05:21 PM
How right you are Jeannie. I can't even imagine any of the FN dissenters continuing if they knew even 1/4 of what we know about this. I think they would stop immediately and question their own motives. Or, they might want to disappear before they get found out themselves.

CLV,
I've heard that you are planning a Scottish Tournament.
Every July, CLV gathers hundreds of men in skirts and knee-high socks to play Scottish field games in tight rows, as bagpipes drone 'Amazing Grace.'
No, this isn't a Scottish funeral, a cross-dressing convention or a scene from 'Braveheart' --It's a C L V extravaganza that's headed for Freeport, Maine.
The skirts are kilts, and the plaid tartan indicates what Affliate Ministry the wearer belongs to.

He will have festival games galore, Celtic music and the use of medieval weapons.
(A French Guillotine is being brought in from Paris.)

Vegetarians, beware of festival fare that is dominated by meat pies, turkey legs and haggis -- a sausage made from oats, onions, spices and animal parts stuffed inside a sheep's stomach -- which sounds more like a 'Fear Factor' challenge than a Scottish delicacy.

This year's entertainment lineup features fiddler "Violamom", Scottish balladeer, Minutus and modern Celtic band, "The Toupee Tempest".

Local reenactment groups demonstrate loom weaving or beat each other up with padded swords. Think that's crazy? The games are actually serious athletic competitions, including the boulder toss, hammer throw and the Steven's mannequin toss. But the most infamous game is the caber toss, where athletes try to throw a log the size of a telephone pole.
The winner wears Steven's toupee, strapped over the front of his kilt, as a Scottish sporan.
CLV, I look forward to your festival of surprises.

David, If you REALLY want to make a fashion statement here in Maine, you will wear a hat with a green bug net completely over it and tie it at the neck with a rope.
You must wear open and untied L.L. Bean Boots with jeans tucked into them, and a "Day glow Orange" camouflage shirt with a plastic bottle of Skeet in the pocket. A missing front tooth or two, will also make you fit right in. Moose calls are mandatory.

But, on the Coast of Maine, it is quite different.
This is where you will be for the reunion, and you must have a least one, Yellow or Chocolate, Lab at your side. Dog collars with little green whales on it are good.
For you, jeans are fine with a Brooks Brother's white Polo shirt. For shoes, docksiders are good...but, no socks. A plastic bottle of Bananna Boat Suntan lotion in the pocket, is fine. You can only have missing teeth in the back.

Don't feel and PRESSURE or anything.
Look forward to seeing you at the reunion!

offshore---you are so funny! LOL
so what you are saying is that I can't show up sporting my tie dyed halter top, cut off jeans and old red flip flops? I usually wear a very old phillies baseball cap--backwards of course. Whilst holding a cigarette & beer can, I like to play a good game of lawn darts. I guess I will have to leave my jack russell dog at home too. I don't any any skeet left, so I will have to bring along the avon bottles. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/smile.gif

05-20-2005, 04:28 AM
As long as your riding a Harley, minus the muffler, your OK on the Coast in Old Orchard Beach. While you're there, the Pier Fries are "Wicked".
But...Freeport, uh, maybe trade in the tie dyed halter for a Lilly Pulitzer hot-pink and lime-green mini dress with little flamingos or tennis rackets embroidered on it.
But don't worry, with a name like "Mrsdrysdale", no matter what you wear, everyone will think you own a bank.

no minutus... "hell toupee" is what is in store for offshore for having ruined the surprise. she has really ticked me off this time. as for the guillotine, i don't think it will be necessary to ship one over from paris. they seem to have one over in baltimore that is doing a great job of sending heads rolling in every direction. hopefully "la terror" will have spent itself out by august!

Methinks the tone of this thread bodes well for our summer festivities!!!

Offshore - you outdid yourself here. You are definitely in charge of the dress code!!! Don't forget the Sperry Topsiders and the alternative red bandana's for the labs! Also fellas - a razor sharp crease in your LLBean jeans would be appreciated! And for goodness sake - don't forget the walking helmets ... can't have sweet little yuppie larva falling down and bumping crowns!

Dwarf-tossing - caber toss -- great ideas. I had also pictured a tournament frisbee with, you guessed it, the OTP affixed atop to hurl at one another!

Am I really going to need a bug net? Is there camping on site?

Offshore- Not sure how helpful I'd be. Exit ramps are tricky places to be when there's alot of traffic. I do see a place for a NP 501(c)3 to provide a platform for exiting, art, writing and narrative community. (to name a few idea's). I'd like to see a thread started with some idea's/thoughts.

Most likely, the 'recovering x-brainwashed reunion'

Sorry I missed the late night ice cream fest!!
I ate too much at a Mosher/O'Brien feast and hit the pillow as soon as I got home.

Maybe I should set up a B&J's booth next to Jim's for therapy! One of my fav's is "Karmel Sutra" - think what you will! Healing comes in many flavors!!!

Her Royal,

Would you tell greetings to Arnie from a gloomy boys' dorm called Lönkka (in Helsinki). He lived there together with some even gloomier guys. That place doesn't exist any more, well the house does, but it's not in the Bible Speaks use any more. One of those guys says "hi!", he used to be very skinny then and his first name is Markku.

No, I'm a girl. ;) He's not coming to Maine, because he lives in Finland and is still "in". It's just good to remember old friends. BTW Helsinki church is practically without a pastor now, since Brian Williams is moving to Vienna. It's an interesting situation, because surprisingly the church is not 100% pro-Schaller. Maybe a title could be "The Grace-full exit" Reunion. Anyway I'd like to share a simple recipe my friend who is from Peru. It is good for summer get togethers, is easy and cheap!!

Magdelena's Salad
(The proportions can be changed)
-3 cans of black beans (drained)
-Equal portions (2 to 3 cups) of tomatoes , onions and cilantro .( Chop the onions and tomatoes bite size. The cilantro coursely chopped)
-1 jalepeno for each can of beans used (finely chopped) Use gloves and seed the darn things!
- Salt and pepper to taste (the beans soak up the salt)
-Drizzle well with olive oil
-Squeeze the juice of 1 lime in (or more to taste)
-Toss well
This is surprisingly good and pretty too! I use plum tomatoes. I wish I could join you but I'll be at Soul Fest in New Hampshire. Dancing, and worshipping and having a great time with thousands of Christian brothers and sisters. Feels like Woodstock all over again!! Have a great get together.

It is a huge Christian Music festival. It is at Gunstock in Gilford NH . There is camping and about 100 artists will be there, Michael W Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, Rebecca St.James and all kinds of bands. There are 5 stages and music all day and worship services outside. I went last year, this is a new site. It was on Loon Mtn last year. You can go to the website www.thesoulfest.com (http://www.thesoulfest.com) It was really a fantastic experience. We take some teenagers with us and they love it. There is a lot of alternative type Christian music as well. Hope you can go..
