John Love has just stated in the pre-offering message that the naysayers over the past year have been saying that there wouldn't be anyone at the Grace Hour banquet and there were 800 people. And then they said the offerings would dry up. And then they said droves of people were leaving. It seems pretty clear to me that he was referring to Factnet without naming it as such, similar to how Carl operates.

Mr. Love, since you've just demonstrated that you get information from Factnet, let me point out to you that it's also been said that GGWO would splinter. And now we see Finished Work Ministries, the new church in Perry Hall, and what seems to be a majority of elders leaving.

As far as droves of people leaving, a recent count from the church directory reveals that approximately 400 people have left.

And in answer to Larry's question on Monday's Grace Hour, "YAH" in Psalm 68:4 is not the Tetragrammaton. The Tetragrammaton ("four letters") is YHWH.

Schaller talks about Charles Finney - great evangelism, some legalism. He notes that Finney faced much opposition.

Ahah... we have really gotten to the core of it now. Charles Finney, the 19th centry Pelagian heretic. Finney denied forensic justiifcation (the imputation of Christ's righteousness to the believer). Finney was a full-on religious humanist. His view of the Gospel of Grace was as twisted as a tornado.

Does Schaller have ANY idea how Finney is viewed OUTSIDE of the Arminian Evangelicalism of the past 140 years or so? Check out:

http://www.spurgeon.org/~phil/articles/finney.htm

to see just how far Finney departed from the truth. To call Finney an "evangelist" at all is disparaging to the Finished Work Gospel of Grace. Finney's message was *not* GOOD NEWS. In fact the underlying theology of Finney is diametrically opposed to most of what Carl H. Stevens' historically preached and taught (i.e. the "Finished Work" of Christ).

Friends, what we are seeing in Schaller's reference is the lack of theological integrity prevalent in GGWO messages. These guys really need a critical reading of Chruch History that takes them beyond "sound bytes" for their messages.
