I thought that might get your attention. There has been some discussion on acouple threads of whether we do or don't have a sin nature. Someone, whom I won't mention his name D.M. accused me of being a believer in the eradication of the sin nature. Here are some thoughts.Rom 6:1-2 " What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live ant longer therein?" v.10 " For in that He died, He died unto sin once, but in that he liveth, He liveth unto God." Let us look at the word {died} Death is not extinction of being, but a seperation. In the case of physical death, we are seperated from our physical body. In the case of Spiritual death, it is the seperation of that person from the life of God. Here the word refers to the seperation of the believer from the power of the sinful nature. Before salvation he was compelled to obey it's authoritative command. Since salvation it's power over him has been broken. We must be careful to note that Paul is not teaching the "eradication of the old sin nature," namely that that nature has been taken away completly. The Bible teaches that this nature remains in the believer until he dies. ( Rom 7:18,21; 1Jn 1:8.)but the believer is not in it in the sense of being in it's grip. Thus Paul answers the question as to whether a Christian should continue in habitual sin, by stating it's impossibility, and on the ground that that nature before salvation made him sin habitually, has had it's power broken. It is a mechanical impossiblity. Let's paraphrase the question " Such as we who have been seperated once for all from the power of the sinful nature, how is it possible for us to continue to exist in the grip of it's motivating energy any longer? Thus when the Lord justifies the believer, He also breaks the power of sin in his life. Grace does here what the law never did. It not only forbids sin but also defeats it's power in the saints life. Misil, I got blamed for something you said now defend us or not?!***Or whatever LoL \clipart

Hey there now,I was corrected about you having not sad that.You make a great point here.We have been given the life of Christ in the One new Man.

Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
That is our defense against ourselves (old sin nature).We must also not neglect the armor:

Ephesians 6:11-18 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Man oh man the provisions that God has given to us are powerful and mighty,being that they are God's own strength and are not something that we have to manipulate through any supposed ability of our own.
That my beloved brother is the finished work in action.
Don't ya just LOVE it?

Much Agape love bro,

Hey dave,
I put a little smiley guy in there laughing, but he didn't want to pop up. In the words of a famous theologian, " It's the machine i tell ya, it's the machine' I want to get back to you on the death we encounter in our walk. it is a study in part of the Red heifer of Num 19. and the water of seperation. And when Jesus came to Peter and went to wash his feet and Peter said, you can't wash my feet, and Jesus said " if i don't wash you , you have no part in or of me 9 can't remember) It is a thought of the Heifer being a type of Christ. We'll do that next, but only as the Lord leads.
Agape Love to you also bro
Jesus is just alright with me
Jesus is just alright oh yea
How can you help but love it? your bro GTP
