Ashamed and Outraged in Atlanta
Upset by a lawsuit filed against Bishop Earl Paulk Jr., pastors in the Atlanta area are calling for higher standards of morality in church leadership

Accusations of sexual misconduct have followed Bishop Earl Paulk Jr. and his Atlanta-based ministry for years, ever since he was accused of adultery in 1960. But Paulk always bounced back, denying the charges and sometimes taking legal action against his accusers.

Most pastors in the Atlanta area kept quiet, and national Christian leaders didn’t get involved in what they viewed as a local problem. No church court investigated the charges, mainly because Paulk’s ministry has been independent of denominational accountability since he left the Church of God (Cleveland, Tenn.) more than 40 years ago.

But bishops in a loosely controlled network Paulk has led since 1982, the International Communion of Charismatic Churches (ICCC), asked Paulk to step down from his post as archbishop last month. And earlier this week a group of pastors in the Atlanta area broke their silence by issuing a statement of apology for alleged abuses of power at Paulk’s church

Let me speak for our dear friend rhp by saying "How dare you speak with a hard, angry, and bitter heart against God's Ministry!"

Oh, I forgot.

Only GGWO is God's Ministry.

Sorry for the confusion.

I must be in darkness because I told those kids in my GGWO youth group the truth instead of the Carl Stevens line of bull and then got ousted and marked for it. Now I'm forever out of God's geographical will for my life because only GGWO is God's real ministry. I guess I'm going to get cancer and die for speaking up about GGWO. Maybe I even trampled on the Blood of Christ by exposing the obvious unrepented of iniquity in Carl Steven's life and his henchmen. Maybe I should never speak up or intervene if I ever see a GGWO pastor molesting little children and just keep quiet to "let God handle it"?? Maybe I should never turn in solid evidence of this kind of thing should I ever come upon it and let the police handle it?? I then might be insulting the work of God that might or might not exist in the pastor pervert?? The poor kid's just supposed to fend for themself?? Right rhp?? Right?? I think not!!

In my charismatic years of the early 1980's the "charismatic sect" I was in was very loosely tied with Paulk's "flow of ministry". This is fruity stuff folks. Believe me, these guys operate in a "realm of the spirit" that even Carl H. Stevens did not claim to be legitimate.

The Sum of Our Loves

A. W. Tozer

We are to a large degree the sum of our loves and we will of moral necessity grow into the image of what we love most; for love is among other things a creative affinity. It changes and molds and shapes and transforms. It is without doubt the most powerful agent affecting human nature next to the direct action of the Holy Spirit of God within the soul.
