mercyreigns (mercyreigns)

These were my meditations last night and I was comforted. I hope that there are some reading that will be comforted too.
Oh to taste mercy,
Just to grasp a hold of a touch of Grace;
Seems so elusive to me when I am feeling dusty,
God’s love appears so distant, so difficult to embrace.
Yet in the quiet solace of the early morn,
When all is peacefully still and my mind at rest;
Sweet words are whispered to this child so forlorn;
And I sense an unseen hand gently lay my weary head upon His breast.
I listen as He sings his silent night songs
He listens and hears my heart’s desperate cry
Expressions of assurance that to Him I belong
He asks me My love, know ye not you are the apple of My eye?
Then as the sun slowly arises to greet me
A new hope arises also in my soul,
Fresh realization I am loved unconditionally
Causes mind, body, soul and spirit to be beautifully healthy and whole.
And so it goes, it will never end.
His Word is so very clear,
We needn’t hide or pretend
He will always hold us dear.
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life." John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)
