Hello all,
My name is Tom Mitchell. I'm writing this to all of you who are in GGWO, but have been forbidden to read this sight. First let me say "Good for you" Don't let folks control your every move from a pulpit. That was and is not what a pulpit is intended for. Neither is the pulpit to be used to communicate someone's personal wishes or agenda. The pulpit in any assembly is the Lord's. If He is the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills, then He certainly owns the pulpit in His own church, the building which houses the "Body of Christ" on different days during the week. That being said I want to wish all my friends at GGWO a very Merry Christmas. I thank you for your calls on occasion and also when you send word to me that you expressed your love for me. I want all to know I have hate for no-one at Frankford Plaza. I have a really big wish for Christmas for all my brothers and sisters still in GGWO. Can you guess what it is? I'm sure you can since you are reading here. I believe many here mirror my wishes and thoughts towards all their friends and family still there. May the Lord bless you and may His Spirit which is at work in each one of His own children continue to open your eyes so as to never be told what you are permitted and not permitted to do because of private interpretation of the Scriptures. Know who you are in Christ and please feel good about the liberty that we have in Him. Love Tom.
P.S. This letter is also intended for Greater Grace churches Natiowide and Worldwide. Tis the season. PEACE

Any way we could put a compilation of important documents and stories on one thread for the newcomers, and keep bumping it up to the top so they don't have to read our squabbling the first time they come on here?

Somebody must have a good collection started, or at least know where to begin...

All the documents initially posted and more are on the above site. Any new readers who want to get testimonies and news articles about the cult named GGWO can find them there.

Hmmm, why is there a thread about GGWO on an intenet site about cults?? Perhaps, this is a long shot, but maybe, because it is a cult! An evangelical Christian cult that revolves around the personality of Carl Stevens using the Holy Bible to take advantage of good Christian folks.

I attend the GGWO church in Saugus MA and our pastor is awesome! He is a straight shooter, doesn't water down the bible, and an awesome evangelist. I don't know about GGWO in Baltimore, but Saugus is not a cult. Brainwashing? I don't know about you, but since I got saved (4 yrs ago at GGWO) my brain needed a good washing. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/crazy.gif

atagirl read the letter from dan lewis and all the other letters from Rob Prokopf, Wayne Hogarth etc.

I know your pastor and he is a carl stevens loyalist. he will most certainly put stevens above all men. he has a very personal close relationship with stevens.

read www.carlstevens.org (http://www.carlstevens.org) if you truly want the Truth There are hundreds of us who took a Biblical stand.

Much of what you are taught is not even Biblically correct. Your pastor is a graduate of a stevens bible college and adheres to those errant doctrines.

Read the letters, read the www.discussggwo.com (http://www.discussggwo.com) site Read with discernment. We are not here to hurt you at all but use your own critical thinking skills that God Himself gave to you. The Holy Spirit will speak to you if you ask him to when you read the things suggested to you here.

Atagirl,

The question is: Do you know any specifics?

Ask them how they acquired Gospel Hall (the church they were in before the one on Main Street.)

See what a straight shooter he is, when and if, someone (maybe you) asks him about all the financial specifics..

Or, maybe some who have left the Saugus Branch can fill you in. I hope they are still reading and will post here....

Atagirl...thanks for posting.

Isabella

Atagirl,
I just want to welcome you to the forum.
You will find quite a slice of life here as you get to know other members of Christ's body.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

Dave

Atagirl,

Thank you so very much for posting. As I started this post, I was intending to just wish all those at GGWO Baltimore and now I will say, GG"s everywhere a very Merry Christmas. To let those know who are still in these same churches, that many of us still love them, pray for them, and miss them. <period> I pray that you received that message. Shalom Tom

Hi All,
well I took your suggestion and read from carlstevens.org and I know my pastor in Saugus is loyal to pastor stevens. Sounds like pastor stevens got a little lost along the way, but I don't see my pastor acting like that at all. I don't know what Gospel Hall is (see isabella) but when I first attended we were in a grammar school, then we built the church on Main Street.

I went to a service in Baltimore once and the son was preaching. I did not care for it at all. Something inside me was not comfortable with him preaching. I guess I should listen to my gut more often.

Ironically, or maybe thru the Holy Spirit leading us, we now go to another non-denom church. We left because we needed a structured Sunday school for our kids and my husband does not like the modern Christian music. We are happy where we are and all growing in Christ.

I'm so happy I found this website...

Now the question that is really bugging me is..
What's up with this Joel Olsteen guy. I saw a picture of him in his new pulpit and in the backround above his head was not a cross, but a globe..???what's up with that???

Having done some small (cable) tv production,I would say that it is possibly representative of a shared vision for the World or maybe a one world new age type thing.

The globe is known as a prop.Props can be used on a psychological level to persuade your thought patterns in a desired direction.
For instance,
I could set up props that have a theme of military content to influence "perceived" agression, simply by placing certain camouflage colored items in strategic positions.
(walk by sight)
I have seen this happen for myself.
It can be quite amusing to watch, depending on the situation.

Advertisers use this method all the time as well as many other ones also.It works because of expected perceptions.

However,
I could be completely mistaken,couldn't I?
But
you didn't expect that
did you?

Jesus is lord.

Hi Atagirl,
If you want some info on Joel Osteen who happens to be a "Faith Word" preacher, if you scroll down past the GG thread I think you will find some stuff down there. Happy hunting!
