Some things to ponder ...

1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.

2. Dear God, I have a problem, it's Me.

3. Growing old is inevitable ... growing UP is optional.

4. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.

5. Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.

6. Do the math .. count your blessings.

7. Faith is the ability to not panic.

8. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.

9. If you worry, you didn't pray . If you pray, don't worry.

10. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home everyday.

11. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

12. The most important things in your house are the people.

13. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can un tangle the knot.

14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.

15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

Have a great day! The SON is shining and he can certainly use you!!

In order to see the rainbow, you must first endure the rain!!!

Jesus had no servants

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.

He had no degree yet they called him Teacher.

He had no medicine but they called Him Healer.

He had no army yet kings feared Him.

He won no military battles but He conquered the world.

He committed no crime yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb yet He lives today.

- Nope, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

Skipping over little babies, known Secret Service agents, 85 year old Congressmen, and properly identified airline pilots with the random checks is not profiling, its just common sense. But profiling people based on skin color or personal appearances that may be generalized to be associated with a particular religeon just tips off the terrorists for what to avoid to avoid extra screening and possibly starting another 9/11. Racial profiling is ineffective and easily defeated by terrorists using sympathisers that would not likely be profiled. Osama Bin Laden would not have that hard a time finding some white boys that would convert to his brand of Islam and would be willing to blow themselves up in a public place in America for his cause. Thats why ALL the adults (with some letting up on the frail and very young and old) need to be properly screened before getting onto a plane. I know of police officers that will back me up on this one.

I really liked the first post on this thread. Great job. Good stuff to take to heart.

"Osama bin Laden would not have had that hard a time finding some white boys that would convert to his brand of Islam and would be willing to blow themselves up in a public place in America for his cause".

Really? How often do we see white boys blowing themselves up in America? And how often do we see arabs doing it, not just in planes but on a regular basis in Israel? Face reality, sidethorn, you are living in a fantasy world. I think even the arabs you so ignorantly try to defend would laugh at your naive views

Maybe if the white boys were promised all those virgins they might sign up for suicide patrol (just kidding)

You think you can predict the future of terrorist activities by using past statistics Whatsup??? Thats just what Al Quada would love to see American law enforcement doing, assume that future terrorists will always be arab looking muslims. Then they'll throw that curve ball using someone who doesn't look like the arab looking muslims you want to profile. Just because you don't see white boys blowing themselves up nearly as often as Arabs doesn't mean that it won't happen in the future. Al Quada specializes in the unexpected. That's why they're laughing at you Whatsup and all who hold your narrow minded views. Many of those arabs are laughing at you, not me. You would do well to get out of your own fantasy world and get rid of your own naive viewpoints. Screen them all whatever skin color they have, whatever language they speak, wherever they came from. That's not defending the Arabs in some naive way, that's just common sense. If you can't see that one, you're the one living in the fantasy world!!!

the point is (once AGAIN) that it is not possible to "screen them all" so choices have to be made, and YES the logical choice is to go by who we know to be terrorists in the past, not what might happen in the future. I have already given reasons why it is most likely to continue to be arabs, but instead of arguing it endlessly I will just say wait and see...the attack may be a surprise but the attackers won't be

With better and more efficient use of the resources we have and better training to spot suspicious people and behaviour patterns of potential bombers, etc. we can screen them all effectively. If the government officials stopped accepting payments under the table to buy $600 screw drivers and other wastful spending like this, maybe they could hire some more screeners to better secure our airports.
