Funny we got cut and paste trolls on who a person is in Christ the day before a news story breaks.

Somehow I am not so sure I care anymore why people get so defensive about somebody who has decided to do things that hurt people, their children and destroy their families.

Its like a get out of jail card, but worse. Get out of accountability.

I read the story. Pretty much same old same old. No breaking news. No money or sex scandals. I don't see it affecting gg at all. Stambowski was the only gger quoted and he was a gentleman.

If you think he was a gentleman you are wrong sir. He was not nice to Nicole. Nicole was being professional the way she reported it.

It is a front page story and they had to recut the final version because of space.

I was going to put rumor has it, no not rumor its already started a stir in both Baltimore and Lee. 3 other papers have been on this, and in the last week two tv stations have been on it.

Nicole has already told me she is looking at doing multiple stories. She is following a finacial end and a few of us have been helping her gather information. If you note there is information on the church properties. That wasn't put there for the sake of general information.

I know that many people what there to be a Jerry Springer of some kind of scandel page to come up like sex or like. But 50,000 people woke up this morning to a headline about a church with 30 people in attendance.

No need to defend your statements or beliefs. I know how long Nicole worked on this. How much research she gathered, the conversations she had, the editing that had to be done.

I suppose , in a way, many would like to see a few take a perp walk, but in reality, it's not going to happen unless lots of evidence is gathered.

I am one that can see the effect FN, discussggwo,carlstevens.org,news articles etc have had on getting people to start thinking again. It's so interesting to read Jim Buckley's comments. Talk about spewing out the teaching instead of his own well thought out convictions! Talk about same old, same old! Channeling Carl. I remember doing that myself.

How many do you think have left in the last 2 years? How many are rethinking and reliving?

I don't disagree with what may be disappointing to you in regards to the article LMAO, but I don't think we'll get a true in depth report that will result in those perp walks and complete ceasing of activites by that alone.

If this article stops one person from joining GGWO anywhere, it was well worth the stress, work and research done by many of us.

It has been many many years since this has been published in the Berkshires and many had no idea at all that Stambo's church had anythng to do with Carl Stevens..

What might have happened if when Joishua ordered the people to march arounf Jericho's walls they got pi$$ed and sais..."Hey Josh, everyday its the same old same old day after day". I venture the walls would not have falen.

For GGWOs "walls" to fall, we need to keep on marching...keep on marching...just keep on keepin' on.

Nicole worked hard to lay this foundational story in a most precise mannner. I thank her for believing in our stories and writing the article so well.

I am not knocking the hard work that went into the article. The finished product was pretty much what I expected. While perp walks would be cool to see, I would like to see a story with hard documented facts that clearly show what gg is all about. I am not talking about how we were hurt and our opinions so much as I am evidence regarding the nature and extent of the corruption of chs and his yes men. How many of us said or heard "it's all lies" when confronted with accusation about chs' immoral behavior? Apparently those with the real evidence cannot or will not speak out.

The good news is in my opinion that whatever it was chs had that convinced us to commit large chunks of our lives to tbs/gg, schaller doesn't have. Nor does he have the ability to control information chs had thanks to this high tech age we now live in.

I'm not sure about Schaller, I didn't know him. Always had a tough time listening to his scratchy monotone. He did manage to 'rise' to the top. I'm not sure what can happen when someone starts out with a bunch of folks already indoctrinated.

This was my previous post lost in space. To those who put their lives out there to be examined, we did it for one reason, [ at least for me I can say this} not to be some hero, ( in fact I have made some new enemies) not to be thanked, though not a bad idea for those who put much personal time and effort into seeing this get out, but for this reason alone. That if today just one person wakes up in the Berkshires and was trying to make a decision on what church they would like to try out, in search of a church home, they will read this article and say, no way. If this article will get people to think GG= mind control, or GG= trouble, then our job has been accomplished. If we have made it so that just one and believe me as small as that twon is I believe there will be more, but just ONE says, I'm not going there, and they are not meant to lose what so many here have lost, and I certainly don't need to make a list do I?
And there is stuff still in the mix, this might not be over. There are lists of weapons caches left on the Lenox properties, listening devices, bugs, hidden camera stuff, spy stuff,automatic rifles and pistols, what could all that have been for. If you are in a GG church now are you walking in confidence knowing that your conversations aren't being bugged, that your not being recorded in a shower stall somewhere or toilet? These branch ministries are all the spiritual children of CHS. He was and is their spiritual daddy. He is the one who distorted our thinking of the person of God the Father. He had us to believe that if we walked away from His man, CHS, and leave our geographical will, that something terrible might befall us. Cancer, car accidents, e.t.c.

I think Nicole did a heck of a job. I contacted Nicole aroud Memorial days and she has been working on this story since. She had to cover some major stories and investigate this one. She has been following information in Mass, PA, DE, MD and other states. She has checked information from one court to another.

I want to emphasize this is far from the end of the road.

Somehow I think Mike Marr thought I was kidding about the Baltimore Sun. That Jeff Wisot doesn't believe anything will ever come of the newspapers in Delaware, and the little church in Lee just didn't think anything would happenin their hometown.

Oh well on to Saugus, Tacoma, maybe to the south? Oh well time to take some rest.

Sacred Excrement! It's 1am Mon morning. I read the article a couple of hours ago and couldn't sleep. I feel like Elvis just died or something!

To see his name and all the stuff you all have been talking about.. there.. on the page. And not just any page. FRONT PAGE.. Sunday Edition. Not on the Berkshires page or the Lifestyle page or some article on the back .. the real deal.

It's a start. I was flabbergasted. Even knowing that it was coming, I was floored by the amount of print. Front page and a full page inside. It will make people think. It will make local ex-members reconsider, reflect. remember.

If you really wanted to stop the ministry in its tracks, bringing a class action lawsuit would one way. I know, I know, I'm just thinking outside the box... and not just outside the box... Way outside the box.

Lessee... I was 19.. uh.. income I never earned because I was never trained to do anything... uh...all the money I gave over the years for what... Getting my mind and social skills warped... loss of an education cuz thiers sucked... The fact I couldn't live in one place enough to keep a good job... living in fear of the end of the world in 1987...

At least part of what was in the paper did not make it to the online story. I didn't compare the whole thing, but at least the first section was skipped, making for rather an odd start.

It starts off: 'Nineteen years ago, the Rev. Carl Henry Stevens Jr. left Lenox, the headquarters of his The Bible Speaks evangelical empire, after a federal court ordered him to repay a Lenox woman $5.5 million that Stevens had persuaded her to donate to his ministry.'

There also is a huge picture of the church on High St. in Lee and another photo of Stevens leaving court in 1987 with Barbara (Paul's), and Melody and Paul in the background. I don't know if you can find those online or not. I didn't see them there. Their website is not particularly easy to navigate. Just try looking there for the old articles.

I told my brother I would stay out of the article because he has an ex and two of his kids still in attendance at High St. The older son Matt is bipolar and plans to go to Baltimore to school. I'd appreciate prayer that God changes his plans.

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Though not done for the thanks, but to keep folks thinking GGWO = @#$%^&amp;*()_+_)(*&amp;^#$%^ it seemed like it would never end. The good news is that it hasn't. There are more reporters looking into the story. Ones we already have spoken to at the meeting in Towson and now some others are inquiring. " Enquiring Minds Want to Know" Will Pastor Hitlers church in Lee last another month. What is coming out in the Delaware article that needs lawyers proof reads? Is the Baltimore reporter still going to do what he said at the meeting? The Boston Globe, their looking into this? Now other churches in every state that name the name Greater Grace are being sought for their input by our famous gumshoe. "Theres a whole lotta shakin goin on." I hear Pastor Strombolli wants another chance to explain his side. The Berkshire made him look like an angel compared to the way he really is. Strombolli, pimpin ain't easy, is it. Best keep your mouth shut because everytime you open it, you have a hard time pulling your foot out. The Berkshires now know what kind of church that is that look so peaceful, but inside it corrupt down to the core. Run, don't walk away as fast as you can.

I was visiting in the Berkshires this past weekend and bought my very own hard copy of the article. I thought it was a great reminder to the folks who live out there to stay away from the GGWO cult. Who knows it may even help folks still in to begin to get free?

My folks held the first Boston Phoenix article for me to read for years. I would not read it because it was an 'evil report'. Years later when I read the Phoenix article, I realized if I had read it when my parents wanted me to I would have seen The Bible Speaks as the sham it was and has always been much sooner.
