In light of some news I have recieved this day, I thought it might be nice to have a prayer request site so that we could pray for each other in specific areas.
My cousin Karen has been diagnosed with lung cancer, she is in her 40's. She has a daughter under the age of 18 and a grandson she cares for. Karen has many issues she needs to come to the Lord with.
I would ask that you not only pray for a physical healing but a healing of the heart and soul as well.
I would also ask that you pray for my Dad that he come to know the Lord and for his health, he will be 75 in August.
Thank you all, and God Bless.

Izzie I'm sorry I was too wrapped up yesterday to even have seen this thread. I will pray for your cousin. I am a cancer survivor myself only it was Ovarian Cancer. I was 38 at the time. It was a horribly frightening thing to go through but the body at GGWO helped me through that time. I will keep your family in my prayers.

My daughters Birth father died Monday afternoon. she is heart broken and it appears we
MAY have to make a trip to Baltimore for the memorial service. We are waiting for news on the arrangements now. If you all could keep Kari in prayer I would appreciate it. She doesn't quite know how to deal with this yet so she is feeling many mixed emotions.

Bonnie I am so sorry for your daughter's loss, I will keep all of you in my prayers, it is a difficult thing to go through, I lost my father at 11 and I know that was hard and I am sure as you get older it becomes harder to lose a parent.

I am sorry to hear of your daughter's loss. I know a little bit how she feels, as I lost my father last year to cancer. We left many things unreconciled between us, but I loved him and he was a Christian man.
Iz, my prayers are with you, too. My dad had lung cancer, I know what you're feeling.
My prayer is that everyone on this board, regardless of their opinions, will have the burden they are carrying lifted.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. It is greatly appreciated.
Bob, Kari's birth father was not a part of ggwo. I am not sure if he was a Christian. Jeff and I adopted her when we were down in Baltimore/Columbia working with Joel Freeman. She was 13 at the time. Ten years ago her birth father came into her life as part of his 12 step program. Since then they have been in constant touch. Via phone calls, letters, visits etc.
Poppa John developed prostrate cancer around Thanksgiving of last year. He had been going through a series of radiation treatments. It seems as if they were just too much for him and he just passed.

I hope that both you and Kari find some peace in this situation. I have been praying for both of you. I feel so bad for her, that is just so sad.
I am back again with yet another prayer request.
Yesterday, the wife of a friend of ours was found drowned in her pool. She was 53 years old, three kids (teenagers now, how the years fly!). But her 18 year old found her and she is really having a rough time as you can imagine. They are not sure as to what happened as of yet, but I would surely appreciate your prayers in this area as well. Thank you so much.

Hi Everyone: As you probably know the Democratic National Convention is coming to Mass tomorrow and the state of Mess has been busying itself to prepare for any terror attacks. WELL, as far as I can tell, the way my beloved state is going (morally) the terroists are the least of our worries. So I am asking all of you to pray for God to change the hearts of politicians who are here to regards to some recent bills that have passed or been blocked in the bay state. Also that God reveal the truth to them about Abortion.
I know this is only something God can do, but with your prayers he will hear us. Thanks so much. Iz

Hi Issie...I think terrorism here in Boston is a big worry. The lines in the sand may be drawn over the issues, but I pray that no matter where anyone stands on the issues, Lord, please keep our Massachusetts citizens and all the delegates safe during this political season. I pray the same for New York while the Republicans hold their national convention. I ask that all men and women of conscience do what they believe to be right and that no harm comes to anyone on either side.
AMEN.

I have kept these folks in prayer...any update on how they are doing?
Also thanks so much for your prayers for Bonnie and Kari...they are in for a rough few days as they are on the way to the memorial service. I know the prayers will be really needed!

Lord, please...I am asking for extra protection for Bonnie and Kari these next few days. You know the situation, and I know you have given Kari the inner stength to face this new unknown. But, Lord, Bonnie is my dearest friend and I confess that I worry about her health. The stress right now is tremendous on her...please, Lord, keep her heart safe? Protect her as she drives all those long miles? Please give her your inner peace to deal with the tumultuous fray she will enter...she is a very special woman for you Lord and I know you love her...I love her too...so I am asking for your special blessing on her life these next few days. I pray believing your promises, I pray remembering your comforts, I praying knowing your heart is to save. Thank you for this day, thank you for Bonnie's spirit and thank you for protecting her for those of us who love her. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Hi Roberta: Thanks for letting us know about Bonnie and Kari. I was asking about them on another thread. I have had them on my heart.
I will pray for them as they prepare to face this situation. I know God is ready to catch them.
You say such beautiful prayers, what a heart you have!!!
Tommy and the kids are really not letting reality set in yet, which is normal. They had a memorial yesterday. You know that time when you are getting everything ready and there are a lot of people around. The toughest times for them are ahead. But we will all be there and especially praying for them. I am hoping that somewhere a
need for God comes and that the accept Jesus. Isn't that the hardest part when someone passes and they were not saved? That too me is almost to much to bear. I always hope that in those last moments some how the Lord was able to reach them. You never know.
I will be praying for Bonnie and Kari and you (because your heart is with them) Iz

Good Morning, Lord. This morning I am asking for your abundant grace to be showered down upon Paul Stevens. You know all he is going through now, and can see hus needs far better than I. Lord lift him up? Give him strength to step aside from the betrayal, pain, and attacks from all sodes so that he might see your presence clearly. So many times we can be so embroiled in fightling the attacks of others we can forget you are our shield and standard bearer. Be the shield for Paul, give him a vision of your inifnite grace and your will that none perish. After all he has done and been put through his heart is still for you, Lord. Please honor that in him and help him move to the next phase of his walk with you...he needs you now more than ever. I thank you for the sun outside my window, the beauty of my husband's love and the sound of your love floating to my hears with the birdsong. Thank you for your grace, Amen.

It's me again, Lord.
It was brought to my attention via an email that perhaps we posters here at Factnet that are supposedly are on the same side have become woefully distracted with each other and less focused upon those who may be turned away by our "friendly fire".
Unify us? Give us all a vision of your grace to see this thing through together? Please help us to react less to each other and find a way to knit us together in a common cause despite out differences? You are the only hope we have, Lord. You are the reader of hearts, the lover of souls, the strength in our weakness. Set us upon the sea of unity of purpose, be with us in the boat of this roiled sea, and when it comes time to walk straight forward upon the water be our example, our beacon and our one mind.
We all believe it is your will that the GGWO be cleansed and purged of the current wickedness that abides there. Remind us all that we cannot be any part of the spirit of change if we continue to bicker and cause strife amongst ourselves.
Heal me Lord of the pride that hinders my walk with you in this. Bring to other hearts a revelation of the pride and lack of focus that abides in them. Give us your calm sure spirit as we come together as brothers and sisters in you to affect a good work for the kingdom.
Thank you for the person who brought your heart in this to me this morning, thank you for the grace you pour over me as you hear my prayer, thank you for the good people here who are your sons and daughters. Teach me Lord, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.

Father, In your name and the name of your precious Son we pray for all of those posting on this board. Heal their hearts, unite us Lord. Help my sister Roberta to go forward and be mightily effective in the work you have called her to do. Please give her peace and strength to deal with her illness.
Bring peace to Neil and his family Lord, bring them the answers they and we all are so desperately seeking.
Lift up Bonnie and Kari as they travel on this painful journey, heal them with your loving light.
Father we ask for all those who post here, all those who have suffered at the hands of abusers, heal their hearts, souls, minds. Free them from the traps that Satan has carefully laid in their paths.
Lift the blinders from your faithful Lord, free them from the bondage that is holding them back from fullfilling your will in their lives.
Bless Jim and P.G. for their wonderful knowledge and help them to continue to bring a sense of guidance.
Father, I feverantly pray for the men and women of Greater Grace and all their churches, that you help them to find their way back to you. I pray that they are led by the Holy Spirit on a journey that will ultimately save them from the sad path they have chosen and for the lives they have
recklessly chosen to mislead. It is my true heart that all here are healed, that all involved find their way to you. I know that it is your wish not to lose any of your children. You know in my heart that the recent death of a co-worker and a friend that were not saved have broken my heart and that I never want to see anyone not be filled with the knowlededge of who Jesus Christ is.
I finally ask that you help us all to abandon all anger and focus fully on the reason you have brought us all here. To unite as you would want us to and to find in one another the strength that each of us has to accomplish your will in this matter.
I love you so Lord, with all of my heart.
Bless my brothers and sisters here with peace, purpose and strength but most of all your Love.
Amen

As the sun arises upon this new day of grace, Lord, we thank you for the peace that does reign in the hearts of more people than the television ever portrays. We thank you for the giving hands of the poor, the generosity found in those that have so little, knowing that they share your heart for the world. Please today, Lord, provide through your children homes for the homeless, meals for the hungry and unite the unwanted children with the empty arms of would be parents...I personally wish to thank you for Amy Carmichel's life and example and ask that you meet me in the garden alone today as you are faithful to do. In Jesus name, amen

I want to thank everyone for all your prayers. Our trip, tho long and stressful turned into something very beautiful for Kari. My prayer was she would shine. And SHINE she did. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/happy.gif I was so proud of how she handled all that was thrown at her. She met each challenge with dignity, grace and love. Her birth family was able to see what a lovely young woman she had grown into.
The best part of the whole time came when she finally met, after 21 years, her birth mother. We had talked about this meeting and prayed about it but she was still a bit anxious.(as I was but I tried not to let her see that) When her brother said "Kari, there's mom." She, looked at me then at her brother and said, "Where? Who?" She didn't recognize her. I had to explain to her brother it had been 21 years so he described her. The moment Kari realized who the woman was he was talking about her face lit up. She became animated, excited. I motioned with my hands for her to go and she RAN out the door! She RAN over to her Birth Mother and fell into her open arms and cried. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. It was something only God could have orchestrated, how awesome is that? http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/happy.gif
So thank you for all your prayers. Words cannot even begin to express how greatly they are appreciated.

Bonnie: I have goose bumps and tears, what a beautiful testimony to God taking a sad situation and turning it around!! Amen. I am so happy that Kari found His purpose in what happened. I am sure her pain is not diminished but she has had a wonderful taste of what the Lord can do even in the midst of our most painful moments.
And YOU!!! Oh MY GOSH!!! I can only imagine how difficult and nerve wracking that must have been, but I can see where Kari has gotten her grace and dignity. Way to go Mom.
I did pray for you all and was wondering how you were doing. Thank you for sharing this and letting us be witness to God's abundent blessings.
Glad to have you back. Iz

How present you are in the closeness of the night, Lord. I thank you that I do not have to deal with the sleepless hours without you.
The GGWO, where I have so many friends, is going through the rough seas, and many seem to be attempting to steer the ship in opposite directions. I ask you Lord to raise up a beacon of your light in the midst of the storm for the people to see your face. So mauch have they been manipulated, decieved, used and led to...Lord in the battle, please give your choice of leader the will and courage to do what is right...the people are confused and need someone to speak your will clearly and set the people free.
Send them a Moses to lead them out of the bondage, Lord and wise gentle teachers to help them see your promises of true grace without the harshness with which it was preached to them.
Thank you for loving me just as I am...Amen

Dearest Lord: We come before you this day with a heart in need and hope of humility and grace. Forgive us the sins of our hearts and the compassion to forgive those in our paths.
We ask for all those who post here that a miraculous healing is abound, that physical ailments are healed, that all aspects of our bodies and minds are submitted to your will and that we have the courage and like mind to follow through.
Help our lives to be guided and adhered to the leading of the Holy Spirit. That the love and compassion of Jesus be foremost in all that we do.
On this day, let our hands do your deeds, our mouths speak your words, our hearts exude your love, our feet walk in your path, our minds filled with your words. Let us reach out to all those around us with the greatest of your commandments.
Please Bless our country Lord, bring it back into line with your word. Protect us from those who would seek to divide us and steer us away from your word. And as another threat of terrorisim surrounds us, please protect those who stand in the way of harm and more importantly in the ways of your word.
Surround our unsaved family, friends and acquaintences ass well as those who are lost in false prophecy and doctrine with mighty warriors for You, who will shine the light of your truth into their lives.
We raise all those who have posted here and bring before you our requests. Please hear our prayers Lord. Fill us with the Holy Spirit so that we might be armored with all we need to fulfill your will for us.
With all our love and thankfulness. Amen
