I am going to go back to the first thread see whats there and put it here.

If its real ugly I am going to make a thread about it.

That way when people say its all in my head, or that nobody has ever done it, or that I haven't had that much done to me, I will point to the quote.

I will also quote those who talk evil about others, both those on both sides.

I will include unsustaitated claims of abuse.

Here are the first two posts on this board.

At the times the board became known by people there had already been a signed agrement between both families.

The reason these things were said here was to hurt Pauls family and to hurt GGWO. This is how it all started. Not to heal but to hurt a marrage and a church.

Stevens is a drug addict to the place where it has dimished his mental capacity. He destroyed his mind and body on drugs, the leaders knew and were afraid to make him accountable, they were afraid he would turn on them, he became completely incapacitated and finally his son Paul tried to get him hospitalized.. Stevens turned on his own son, had him fired..though now he is back in limited capacity. All the leaders are lying to the church, covering up the drug addiction. They are all fighting with each other for position but tell the body there is great unity, Stevens almost died from the drugs a couple months back, he returned to the pulpit and sounds like a demented old man, he speaks for 5 to 10 minutes and most of it is heresy but he get standing ovation after standing ovation. It is completely unbibical, immoral and unethical to not make this man accountable. (and get an old man help before he kills himself) But the very conclusion written in the Walter Martin report is coming to pass. An untouchable man.."God's anionted" without proper checks and balances will ultimately fail because "absolute power, absolutely corrupts"

Stevens is right now in the hospital because of the drugs. the church is being lied by the leaders, the leaders fighting with each other and making their plans to run. Chips off the old block, Stevens has always run when the crap hits the fan. Media involvement is next, so keep watching your local news folks. The disgusting thing is that there are sincere believers in this group who trusted these leaders and Stevens and they will be left to pick up the pieces of their lives. Paul is not out, but he is hated by lots of people. The church is dividing into camps. There are those that love Paul, those that hate him because the rumor got around that Paul was trying to cause a conspiracy, blah, blah, blah!!

THE LETTERS:
I also received a letter and I see posts inquiring what the contents were. I do not have the first letter that went to the board and was read in church by Michael Marr, the jist of that one was: why, if the drug rumors are not true, hasn't the leadership denied them and if they are true why hasn't the leaders gotten pastor help. As has been said here, Marr denied the drug abuse quite loudly from the puplit.
Here is the letter with the second letter to board enclosed with it, as this is how it was mailed to me.
The cover letter states:

DEAR GGWO MEMBER, MARCH 21, 2004

I AM THE SINCERE BODY MEMBER WHOSE LETTER WAS READ ON SUNDAY MORNING MARCH 14TH. MY PURPOSE IN WRITING THE LETTER WAS FIRST AND FOREMOST A TREMENDOUS CONCERN FOR MY PASTOR. I WAS INITIALLY RELIEVED TO HEAR THE ALLEGATIONS ABOUT OUR PASOTR WERE DENIED SO FORCEFULLY AND CATEGORICALLY. HOWEVER, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION ON MY PART, I WAS ALARMED TO FIND OUT THE DENIALS OF THE ALLEGATIONS WERE BALD-FACED LIES. MY RESEARCH DISCOVERED THAT THE BOARD AND OTHERS, HAD AN OBLIGATION TO STEP IN AND DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THE SAKE OF OUR PASTOR'S HEALTH. NOT ONLY DID THEY FAIL TO BE ACCOUNTABLE, THEY LIED CONTINUALLY TO THE BODY, LEADING US TO PRAY FOR HIM CONCERNING HIS BACK, HEART AND THYROID, GIVING US DISINFORMATION AND FORFEITING THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERVENE FOR THE SAKE OF OUR PASTOR. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT THAT TROUBLES ME. I AM UPSET THAT THIS CHARADE IS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO THIS POINT. I CAN TOLERATE MANY THINGS, BUT TO BE LIED TO, AS WE HAVE BEEN, IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I AM NOW LOOKING INTO THE CRIMINALITY OF THESE ACTIONS BECAUSE SOEMONE HAS TO STEP IN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
LAST WEEK I WROTE ANOTHER LETTER TO PASTOR MARR AND THE BOARD. I HAVE ENCLOSED A COPY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO READ IT. AS YOU WELL KNOW, THAT LETTER HAS NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR? REMEMBER THE GEORGE ORWELL CLASSIC "ANIMAL FARM"? THERE ARE SUCH SIMILARITIES, IF NOT SO TROUBLESOME, IT WOULD BE HUMOROUS. TO WHOM DO OUR LEADERS SUBMIT TO? IT CERTAINLY CANNOT BE TRUTH. THE CONCLUSION OF THE AFORMENTIONED BOOK WAS TRAGIC, TO SAY THE LEAST. I HOPE WE FARE BETTER.

My source of information is the family and the leaders themselves, not this site.
If you are willing to look at this site then you should research abusive groups and how they draw individuals in and how they use manipualtions and controls to keep them. Do your own research and let us know if GGWO fits the criteria of an abusive church. Whether they are mission-minded or not is not the issue being addressed here.

It seems to be the truth and how sad that back in March they were discussing Pastor's drug abuse and it now July and the man has still not gotten help. And the elders are still lying and covering up his addiction.

Most of the stuff at the bottom was untrue at the time; some still is.

We have absolutely no idea whose name is on what. No one is allowed to know that kind of information. The board was always been a sham, it was called the "secret board" before they had to step in when Pastor incapacitated himself on drugs. David Duff is not on the board but he is comptroller, his father is on the board, Paul Stevens was on the board but when he tried to intervene in Pastor's drug addiction, he was taken off the board (and was fired as well) Michael Marr is the scariest new board member, he does not display any of the fruits of the spirit in his life, his thirst for power is so obvious that you can't bear to listen to him from the pulpit because the lust is so apparent. He used the opportunity when Pastor was in the hospital for a power-play and got on the board and also changed the by-laws(that no one has ever seen). So where the money goes and who is on the paperwork is a mystery to all!

copies of Jack Leonard's post from this morning. Jack, once again, clearly with wisdom from above, lays out a solution, a resolution for restoring our body. If one looks by sight the current situation appear a inpenatratable wall. But only God can look into the hearts of man and see what mere men cannot. I believe once again, God is speaking to the leaders of our church this morning. It was not by chance Jack was compelled to get up in the early morning hours to write. It was not by chance today is the day Steve goes into the office, probably for the last time. Please pray for our church, our leaders. God is moving mightily, if only our leaders would heed His voice.
