Cara,
This is a thank you note. I hope others will follow in your footsteps. I hope you reach out and dailog in the spirit of your name.
Cara - Gaelic "friend."
This song was written by Dougie MacLean, it is a drunk Irish sailors romance song, that was changed by Rich Mullins (only one word) to the thought of Isaiah 50:1. It is dedicated to you, and please read below it the notes I put. I think I have noticed people like Jim Fawcett understands this as well.
Your drunker pirate brother (put away the Mailbu!)
Seahawk
Ready for the Storm (version as made popular by Rich Mullins)
The waves crash in the tide rolls out
It's an angry sea but there is no doubt
That the lighthouse will keep shining out
To warn a lonely sailor
And the lightning strikes
And the wind cuts cold
Through the sailor's bones
Through the sailor's soul
'Til there's nothing left that he can hold
Except a rolling ocean
Oh I am ready for the storm
Yes sir ready
I am ready for the storm
I'm ready for the storm
Oh give me mercy for my dreams
'Cause every confrontation seems to tell me
What it really means
To be this lonely sailor
And when the sky begins to clear
The sun it melts away my fear
And I shed a silent weary tear
For those who mean to love me
Oh I am ready for the storm
Yes sir ready
I am ready for the storm
I'm ready for the storm
The distance it is no real friend
And time will take its time
And you will find that in the end
It brings you me
This lonely sailor
And when You take me by the hand
And You love me, Lord, You love me
And I should have realized
I had no reasons to be frightened
Oh I am ready for the storm
Yes sir ready
I am ready for the storm
Yes sir ready
I am ready for the storm
Yes sir ready
I am ready for the storm
I'm ready for the storm
Thankyou for being there even when others wouldn't.
When people would call me names, become so spiritual they couldn't speak to those enemies on the forum, and excused the lies and deciet of others as being of God.
Thank you for what your family has gone through, and what it has been able to do.
Thank you for standing up for what is right and being a person who fights the good fight.
Tkank you for not taking people's faults and making it into a reason not to have dialog with them, not help them, not to be a friend.
Thank you for bringing some peace, some compassion, some delivery to this place.
As I worked my way through the threads I found you were the one who was the most sincere, the most caring, and the most to look to.
You are like anybody else, I know you have been made, quick to return a tough response, but in the end your heart wins over and makes the world a little better.
I wish that others could learn a little from you, including me.
I know you are not perfect, and I know you don't hold no special keys but your heart has won me over.
I pray that at the end of the day some hope breaks in for GGWO, and I hope the bitter spirit here to destroy goes away from even this place.
I see some of the mean words that have come around, and go around, but when I see your desire to speak, to communicate with others I know where you heart really is.
I can't hold a gun to the heads of others who remember not their own anger and use the anger of others against them. I think you understand this better than most.
May God Bless You Friend!
