Let's list some of the great moments in TBS.
How about the night in 1978 that guy Ambrose went on about his desire for a wife while the whole chapel laughed. Anyone remember that or have any other great moments?

Or the women's seminar where we had the "possessed chick" slithering around incoherently and Curley Owens singing "fishing for Jesus" all in one show!
Or the convention when Van Lennontine was jumped by ten bodyguards and dragged out of the church.

Why can I find nothing about Curley Owens on the internet? I was sure there would be lots about him, but there seems to be nothing. I used to think he was like those traveling snake oil salesmen in old west movies.

It used to amaze me the way people went forward in droves for his altar calls. Now I'm in an AG church, it still amazes me the way people just go forward for every altar call, as if they're living in constant guilt. Don't people go to God with their stuff before they come to church?

You can't forget the night Betty MacEntyer was "raised" from the dead or Jim Cromwell was delivered from all his demons.

Those events were before my time. I went to South Berwick a few times earlier; went to Spring Hill just before going to Lenox for the fall of 1976. My brother David was there earlier, but I think he missed that stuff. Was Jim dealt with at a service?

I remember going to Spring Hill. I forgot all about it. Went to many weddings there.

Looking back, I remember how the teenage girls used to hang off Curly Owens. I have to wonder about that now.
Nobody's mentioned Woolwich Wiscasset Baptist Church being put to the torch. The night before that happened, my sibs and I were sleeping on the pews durring a visit, up from the Framingham MA area, as we had no other place to stay durring the visit. That morning, Mom said that god had told her to go back south, so we went. We got home and I remember her stareing out the window from her sewing machine, looking distracted. The next morning she said god was telling her to go back to Maine, and when we got there we found a burnt church. I have to wonder who god's mouthpiece was on that occasion.
I saw the place out the car window on a snowy night six years ago, looking just the same, unblemished by fire, but somehow smaller than when I had last seen it at six years old. Freaky.

Hey Dan Huisjen-
How about you do "your story" like Jim Faucett did?! It sounds like you have an interesting one to tell since you were "in the ministry" in the real early days and also there since early childhood.
Do tell...

Dan,
I think the above poster is on to something. It would benefit all of us if you took the time to share your story of growing up in the mind control cult called 'The Bible Speaks' now 'Greater Grace World Outreach'.
You are very articulate and sound quite intelligent. I for one believe sharing documented information and personal stories about TBS/GGWO helps set people free far better than doctrinal debate and baiting people to draw out their beliefs then attacking them.
Many of these Bible experts on Factnet don't even know they are just 'Pretend Pastors' if they got their training at TBS/GGWO. Nothing like brainwashed 'Bible Experts'.
Someone mentioned that the elders at TBS/GGWO are reading these boards and that they respect The Bible. Satan respects The Bible too and these so-called elders have been doing the work of Satan exploiting The Bible for decades.

Hey I've got one to share.
Greatest moments of late???
Paul Stevens walking out. Getting his life right before the Lord and starting over. To me that speaks volumes. He wasn't going to be a part of the corruption of Baltimore anymore. Now that took guts to walk away from his daddy and his salary.
