has anyone considered writing letters to the editor of the Baltimore Sun... ones which would ask for CHS to step down or tythes would be withheld? One discussing his drug use as well?
Might not be a bad idea, and may get some attention... just a thought...

Don't worry, the Sun is watching and they're aware of what's going on...also the Pheonix is on the alert.
If you are in a town with a branch church, consider putting an ad in the local newspaper to warn the people there...

I am a current member of a branch church up north and have been following the news in baltimore very closely. As this has been brought forward to me from my wife, we are very concerned with what is going on down in the baltimore fellowship. Fortunately for our fellowship where we are at there has not been spiritual abuses or slander in any form as it would not be tolerated from any member nor any leader for that manner. Not to mention the pastor of our fellowship has an integrity about him that would not allow him to talk poorly about a person even before he was in any leadership position. I am glad that as i evaluate my pastor i see he holds up to every standard as an overseer as they are listed as are the men that are deacons where i am at. I don't believe that this information surrounding baltimore has been brought to the attention of the rest of the fellowship at this time and i believe that to be wise. Until there can be some determined outcome in baltimore there is no need to cause an alarm to all the other fellowships just yet. I have faith in him as a leader of integrity that he will tell us as a church when the time is right. Believe me here that i can say that there are branches of this organization with godly standards and are maintaining them. In a manner, even as i am sure he hears and knows of the abuses of office going on down there, the pastor has a duty to honor not the man but the office even if it is managed poorly. So prayerfully, watchfully he is seeking guidance from Christ in the matter at hand. If we can remember even when Saul acted poorly and even crazy, David would not lift a finger against him. God honored David for that. In one way or another god will handle this situation in baltimore and for the sake of the remnant down there i hope it is replaced with a man of integrity that i have had the priviledge to serve with here. I am sorry to hear of the misfortunate dealings that you have to face down there daily, i am praying for you in this even now.

As difficult as it may be to hear this right now in Baltimore. I am proud to be a part of GGWO. I have met many members of my church family from abroad as i am sure you all have as well. Friends and family from Russia, Thailand, Liberia and countless other nations as well as other branch churches right here in our own country. Many loving hearts and friendships that have bonded me to people so i almost refuse to acknowledge regional borders of nations now as i did as a youth. If nothing else we need to remember GGWO is not one man. We should not let one man's errors even if he be the founder destroy and scatter that which was used by Christ to bring the gospel to the world. My prayer is then there should be a restoration. that the house be cleansed and men of integrity be brought forward to continue pointing us in the direction of Christ who is foremost and over this whole body. We have not lost site of this fact even if the current holder of the office has. God Bless this body,GGWO, and the church that is God's people.

Sir,
You need to study the biblical basis for your conclusions. It is obvious from your post you have been infected with GGWO doctrines.
Did you come to your conclusion of silence after talking to your branch pastor?

We have not talked to our branch pastor yet. The Holy Spirit will bring that time to come. When we are led, we will talk to him.

I'm sorry Mr. Willoughby but I highly disagree with you. Your pastor is part of the same corrupt system that is in Baltimore church
BECAUSE HE WAS TAUGHT BY THE SAME MAN -- PASTOR CARL STEVENS!!
Any "influence" he would have would be straight from Baltimore. Where do you think a part of your tithe goes to??? It supports Baltimore.
If your pastor is LOYAL to pastor stevens, then thats a fact. Loyalty is a big issue down here with Pastor. Otherwise your overseeing pastor would be on the "list" of those "friends" with the ministry but not "part" of the ministry.
Anyone who disagrees with CHS has experienced that. Get your head out of your ass and wake up before its too late.

Sathington Willoughby:
1. You are correct. David would not lift a finger against him. True. But, there is more to the story.
2. Notice that he verbally confronted him on several occasions regarding his treatment he received at the hands of Saul (1 Samuel 24 and 1 Samuel 26). He even had Jonathan test his theory that Saul was not behaving right (1 Samuel 20).
3. I do not see silent passivity in his case against Saul. He just would not hurt him. (Remember when Saul was in the cave relieving himself...using the restroom)he cut the corner of his robe and felt remorse? He then confronted him to repent. And, it was loud and public. Not some secret squirrel meeting behind closed doors.
1 Samuel 24:
8 Then David stood at the mouth of the cave and called to Saul, "My master! My king!"
Saul looked back. David fell to his knees and bowed in reverence.
9 He called out, "Why do you listen to those who say "David is out to get you'?
10 This very day with your very own eyes you have seen that just now in the cave GOD put you in my hands. My men wanted me to kill you, but I wouldn't do it. I told them that I won't lift a finger against my master--he's GOD's anointed. 11 Oh, my father, look at this, look at this piece that I cut from your robe. I could have cut you--killed you!-but I didn't. Look at the evidence! I'm not against you. I'm no rebel. I haven't sinned against you, and yet you're hunting me down to kill me.
12 Let's decide which of us is in the right. God may avenge me, but it is in his hands, not mine. 13 An old proverb says, "Evil deeds come from evil people.' So be assured that my hand won't touch you.
14"What does the king of Israel think he's doing? Who do you think you're chasing? A dead dog? A flea?
15 GOD is our judge. He'll decide who is right. Oh, that he would look down right now, decide right now--and set me free of you!"
16 When David had finished saying all this, Saul said, "Can this be the voice of my son David?" and he wept in loud sobs.
17 "You're the one in the right, not me," he continued. "You've heaped good on me; I've dumped evil on you.
18 And now you've done it again--treated me generously. GOD put me in your hands and you didn't kill me.
4. Remember whem Saul was hunting him to kill him? David crept into the camp of Saul (good covert ops)and took Saul's spear, he could have killed him again. Notice the loud and public rebuke.
1 Samuel 26:
13Then David went across to the opposite hill and stood far away on the top of the mountain. With this safe distance between them,
14 he shouted across to the army and Abner son of Ner, "Hey Abner! How long do I have to wait for you to wake up and answer me?"
Abner said, "Who's calling?"
15 "Aren't you in charge there?" said David. "Why aren't you minding the store? Why weren't you standing guard over your master the king, when a soldier came to kill the king your master?
16 Bad form! As GOD lives, your life should be forfeit, you and the entire bodyguard. Look what I have--the king's spear and water jug that were right beside his head!"
17 By now, Saul had recognized David's voice and said, "Is that you, my son David?"
David said, "Yes, it's me, O King, my master.
18 Why are you after me, hunting me down? What have I done? What crime have I committed?
19 Oh, my master, my king, listen to this from your servant: If GOD has stirred you up against me, then I gladly offer my life as a sacrifice. But if it's men who have done it, let them be banished from GOD's presence! They've expelled me from my rightful place in GOD's heritage, sneering, "Out of here! Go get a job with some other god!'
20 But you're not getting rid of me that easily; you'll not separate me from GOD in life or death. The absurdity! The king of Israel obsessed with a single flea! Hunting me down--a mere partridge--out in the hills!"
21 Saul confessed, "I've sinned! Oh, come back, my dear son David! I won't hurt you anymore. You've honored me this day, treating my life as most precious. And I've acted the fool--a moral dunce, a real clown."
5. I can't help but wonder how things might be different if pastors in GGWO would stop hiding in a cave and be loud and public like David did as a true friend.
Proverbs 27
5 Better an open reprimand than concealed love.
For Him,
Dave
