I was never "involved" in The Walk, but my friend growing up was. I remember going to church with her a lot. I remember John Robert, I have spent the night at the Blix House (one of the ladies taught me how to peel carrots there), I remember the pathway behind the house (I just learned that the pathway led to JRS's home! So, I've been in his home as well!), I remember the Anaheim church...I remember a lot. The family I grew up with was the Pfiefer's. They lived across from me. One of their daughters married Rick Holbrook. They divorced, but I was at their wedding. That was an interesting one!
Anyway, I'm interested in learning more and kind of discovering more of my memories. I was wishing that there were pictures of the "old" church and the people on the web. Kind of to reconnect faces and places, know what I mean? So, I decided that if anyone is interested in sending me a story or photo (or both!), I would put together a website. It would have to be a freebie site at first, then if people really liked it, they could pitch in to get it more "Official" looking. Email me at righteousmama@cox.net
OH! And I took piano lessons from Jean Koons (sp?). She used to fall asleep during my lesson and I'd wander the house. My mom was like, "What are you doing?" I just looked at her and responded, "She's asleep again!" LOL I remember having my recital at the Anaheim church.
