Paul said that there would be a falling away before the end of time. Not a falling away of the profession of faith but of the posession of faith. We are living in a world today that has forgoteen about the poor of the world. All of this is done in the name of christianity. But the bible tells us that if we do not have compassion for the poor then we can not love God.Repent America before it is too late!

Duh!? Americans pay the highest taxes in the world to feed the poor. Our welfare, giveaway goverment programs make our poorest poor look like the wealthy in some of the 3rd world nations of the world. The poor of the world are dying to come to America because we the people are on average the most compassionate. Our wealthy and middle class give more to charities that help the poor than any other nation on earth. Our government sends billions of dollars overseas to feed the poor of the world. Your statement has no validity.

I am confused by your post. Please explain.

1) What does a possession of faith have to do with charitable giving? Many people of differing or no religions give to charity, so having a lack of Christian faith is not a bar to charitable giving.

2) Please give examples of poor people of the world that are being forgotten.

3) Which specific Christians have forgotten about the poor? Though I don’t agree with the premise of the religion, it can not be denied that many Christians are charitable.

4) Why are you specifically targeting America? Americans are among the most generous people of the world.

Once in saintly passion
I cried in deepest grief,
"Oh, Lord my heart is black with guile,
Of sinners I am chief."

Then stooped my guardian angel
and whispered from behind,
"That's vanity my little man,
You are nothing of the kind."

I was led to dig in dumpsters in a country that has a surplus and the Angels loyal to Jesus/GOD laughed and said I was blessed when I first discovered it. "Go over here they said." I'm not a good christian so Jesus/GOD tells them it's ok to ream me out if needed LOL. Sorry.. LOL I'm repentant but I keep asking and Jesus/GOD keeps helping. I thanked the 3 angels who led me to the dumpster and said tell Jesus thanks but who do I pass the blessing on to? LOL the large bags of food that can easily be salvaged turned into a blessing for many needy families.

Other times I am reamed out and scolded by Angels loyal to Jesus/GOD. "shut up and ask the man what church he goes to!" LOL Sorry, sorry ok.

"Hurry up and get out of the dumpster! She isn't doing well!" I pop up picking up the few items in bags to put in the cart behind my bicycle to drop off to a christian woman who was to die shortly but I did not know. I don't do well at all. When I returned to town after the ambulance was called etc. I looked in the dumpster and low and behold many dozens of roses and flour boquets and a 5 tier wedding cake crunched but awesome to see. Oh it's Jesus wedding with Mrs. so and so. The flowers are all beautiful. So the Angels loyal to Jesus/GOD say they are for her funeral. I in my usual stubborness argue with them and say it can't be I refuse to believe it. Later dropping the flowers off to the Hospital to deliver to her room the nurse informs me she is gone to be with the LORD. The flowers turn to a blessing for those in the hospital. Her favorite chapter in Scripture 1 Cor 13

So you see it is Jesus/GOD who get the glory. I was just the idiot always arguing the wrong things and trying to do what Jesus and his Angels given charge over me were telling me to do. It is called being rebuked, sternly for my own good. I am thankful Jesus even talks to and keeps his angels over me and helps me keep learning the Word to share with others. It is to his credit and doing totally.

LOL daily adventures of a poor christian like a little toddler I get into trouble regularly. Jesus picks me up out of the mud and puts me back on the trail to help his cause.

It is humbling and perplexing to hear a so called minister in a local well to do church yell out displeasure and hate for the homeless, needy
etc. bums, of which I am one. LOL Jesus/GOD and his loyal Angels are always telling me I am precious, have mercy, pray for and forgive them. LOL Hands on instruction is pretty humbling to say the least you feel like a lunk in the wheel of Holiness. It is embarassing to say the least.

To be in church and wrongly arguing with Jesus/GOD about giving the minister of a small church 40.00 in the till which some other christians gave to you for a (in my skill area very simple to do) computer virus removal, software installation tune up and tweak of a piece of worldly junk) So I see myself arguing with Jesus/GOD, but.. but... that's more money than I made in a month and a half. LOL All of it? So I compromise and do not follow instruction and put in $20.00 . What an embarassment when the people get to me I put the money in and there are 5 Holy Angels with awesome Blessings and Thanks from Jesus/GOD all around and the people can not hear any of it. Humbling to say the least! I am stunned, it wants me want to yell out to the man as he leaves "wait! come back here!" and put in the other 20, slowly to see if they say it again? It was so beautiful, Holiness abounding beyond words. But the wrong reason. The things we never knew which Jesus lets us see, hear and be a part of are such a joy. I am so thankful Jesus lets me be a part of such things, those are the moments my Spirit/Heart sing for Joy for His glory allowed me to be a part of His wishes.

I am thankful for digging a few thousand dollars a month out of dumpsters to pass the blessings on to the so called poor and needy as Jesus/GOD put them in my path. It really was not my doing. LOL I laugh as I look in my fridge and car daily at all the surplus food flowing out of the freezer. Well it does say, When you turn to Jesus/GOD with all your heart/soul/mind/strength and study he will add the blessings to you... LOL

If I could write up all these testimonials so we can see ourselves in relation to Biblical principles with correct scriptural teaching and as Joe Friday used to say... "just the facts.." LOL If these testimonials would serve Jesus/GOD and others to ask daily what might I do for Jesus then it would be worth it. If it doesn't serve Jesus then throw it in the dung pile! LOL

Repentance is beautiful in the Bible. Who repented the most? It is beautiful and it teaches us how to do the same. It is lovely in Jesus/GOD's eyes to see someone who enjoys daily company to do what Jesus/GOD find delightful.

To see a country with pride trying to become a stumbling block to repentance is sad. If America is going to accredit their generosity to Jesus/GOD and sharing Biblical principles then blessings will flow. Coals of fire are heaped upon enemies heads when you feed, cloth, care for and help them instead of putting them into political/ecomic and especially moral unholy dissaray. Expecting nothing in return is beauty.

The greater part of feeding the poor, is to keep it in Biblical context. Jesus/GOD repeatedly refers to the poor, needy, etc. as a context of his Word. People entangled in the world are starving for Holiness/Godliness/Jesus/GOD and it shows. Jesus told us to repent of our wickedness first.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

If we lead many people to Jesus/GOD and his Word, a love for it, the blessings and our actions will reflect that we repented of any misdoings.

Jesus/GOD Bless the children to learn Godly precepts and give credit to the Word that spoke us all into existence to do his good will.

The Biblical Irony is I used to scoff at, hate the poor, hate the homeless, hate the people who called themselves Christian and hate their Bible which I stubbornly refused to consider as an ex-atheist. I was unrepentant and rebellious for over 25 years. It makes no sense from a worldly perspective. Jesus/GOD get all the glory and credit, I could never do such things on my own. Slow learner LOL

To the original poster willie353 on this thread. What I think you meant was the fact that we give to the poor but not from our hearts. We pay alms but no knowledge of what we do. We Lord over the poor but do not give because of Christ but because of selfish desires in our hearts. May we help the poor with the love in our hearts not out of pity. It is like paul talking to the romans in chapter 2 about circumcisiion.

For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
(Romans 2:25-29)

Heart is not circumcised then what good is it to do the works. Our hearts are no longer circumcised in giving to the needy.
