How many christian on factnet type what they feel God lays on their heart to type? Or do you type solely only what beliefs are not seeking God will in your typing?

turtle, what does 'do you type solely only what beliefs are not seeking God will in your typing?' mean?

You type only what your doctrine and beliefs but not really seeking God in what you say on here. In other words you use your own intellect.

See this is what this discussion was suppose to be about til Ihavesinned made a smart comment. I am curious if people pray or at least maybe not as far as bowing their head and praying but ask God what should I say or how should I respond to this post I just read. I wish you knew how many times I did not type all I wanted to type. But even I am not perfect and listen to God all the time when I post. But I am curious about others how well they do just this. Or do they only go by what they believe and their doctrinal background when answering never really speaking to God about it?

Turtle,
I don't pray before I type like I should; however, I am seeking God's will in my activity on Factnet. I just have trouble not blurting things out because I tend to be transparent and that is not always a good thing. God may know where I am or what I am dealing with regarding various issues but I have to remind myself that there are many, many, many others who are reading this.
I truly believe that God can work in spite of anything I say or do and sometimes even through my humanity. I have heard people say that we can get in God's way at times but I totally feel that if I'm in God's way and He needs me out of the way . . . he is certainly able to take care of that matter. But He can also use me as an example of what not to do. (Although I don't like to be such . . . it is always my fault though when this happens.)
Just my 2 cents.

turtle, I find your question interesting. When I type out messages it's more of a channel that I open up into my consciousness, having a life ot its own, the words just flow. I put aside my rational mind and allow the thoughts free reign. Of course, this is not all the time. I find that when I'm feeling in a competitive mood I tend to argue, to attack and try to show people how they are wrong. That's when I know that I'm not allowing the truth to express itself. It's more of a meditation than a prayer, to permit my inner voice expression. It's sort of a zen thing, be in the now and think of my mind as a sail, and the Truth as the rudder steering me along the correct path.

What will the answers to turtle's question accomplish? Will we make a mental file to place those who believe they are writing in God's will in the 'good posters' file, and those who admit to just shooting their mouths off in a 'bad poster's file? Once this is done, what is accomplished? Only God knows our hearts.
Factnet is not here just for Christian views.
I think what this does is open a debate for "I'm a better Christian than you are because...". The Bible tells me not to let my left hand know what my right hand does. It is fairly easy to discern who speaks with good intent, even if they are wrong, from those who are just trying to cause division or need an outlet for their boredom or frustrations.
I don't think there is one honest Christian who will get on here and say, "I never write anything that does not come from God." So what? If people deny it, so what? Isn't that a 'given' in humans.

Godchild,
Will I admitted myself Godchild that I did not always write what I felt lead to write. If you don't like my question Godchild I wish you would move on to other pastures. And no I am not labling posters. The question is out of curiousity if people feel lead to write sometimes. Apparently you must only think with your head or you would of answered quite differently. Let me explain something else too. The other day I did not read all of one post and someone else above me said the almost same thing I did without me knowing it til i looked back. Too a poster posted ahead of me on a thread and my thread went with theirs. I am curious if others brothers and sisters in Christ desire unity as much as I do and thatis why we pray before we post.

And do you know one more thing Godchild no christian is better then another we are all running the same race. Some get their ahead of others do to death but we are all in it together. Stop trying to tear things apart.

Thou shalt be nice, for I, the Lord your God, am nice. I rarely getteth angry, and in the few cases when I do, I always remaineth courteous. Thou shalt never rocketh the boat, nor interfereth with thy neighbor's attempt to have a nice day. Verily, thou shalt reproacheth thy neighbor, but mindest thy manners as thou doest it. And most important, when thou hath nothing nice to saith, then don't saith anything at all!
Guess what. Those words don't appear anywhere in the Bible. Fascinating, isn't it? Here we have the code by which we are to organize our society and bind it together, and nowhere does etiquette appear at all. Could it be that there are more important things than being nice? Is it possible that manners matter less than we might think?
Being nice means helping other people feel good. We enjoy being with people because they are pleasant and affirming, and because they do favors for us.
As Christians, our obligation is not to be nice, but to be holy.
There are those who are nice not for the sake of others, but for selfish reasons. "Look how kind I am," they try to tell us. "I'm just great and don't you forget it."
Sometimes holiness calls us to help people feel good about themselves, and sometimes it calls upon us to push them to be better.
When we are nice, we please other people. When we are holy, we please God. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't nice at all.
And have a nice...uh, I mean holy...day.
-from Rabbi Glickman (I can only agree with him on this subject).
turtle, though you may not understand this, your question was an insult because it was an insinuation and not really a question at all.

I think there is a middle ground in all of this. We are to strive for unity and yes praying and keeping our eyes on Jesus helps this; however, we are only to be unified in Christ not the things of the world.
Unfortunately for us . . . we still have a carnal nature.
It's quite the tight rope walk I might add. I think we need to be merciful but separate ourselves from evil. That is sometimes hard to do because we (at least I'm speaking for myself) have a hard time with the judgment issue. Praise God we have a just and righteous God to judge what we say and more importantly our motives. And even more so, Praise God that we have the shed blood of Jesus to cover us when we make mistakes and do things that are out of line.
I have to plead the blood daily . . . I wish I could get it completely together but I'm just not there yet. I've listened to tapes regarding how to escape sin, etc. etc. and I read the word of God but I just can't seem to get rid of my carnal man completely. Guess that is why I need a savior.
My thoughts.

wayfaring_stranger, I totally agree with you. The closer I get to God, the more I realize how sinful I am. He is always faithful to forgive me. I will be eternally grateful.

wayfaring stranger, I really think you understand what I am trying to say even though I am weak in my expression. I do believe people do pray has they post and even when they lack doing what God would desire themt o do on here God does forgive because it is under the blood for those that accept God free gift of salvation. YOu seem to understand quite well. Thank you for taking time to respond.
