I do not know if factnet will allow this board. But once some of us are regular users under this discussion I would like to see if they will.
I thought it be nice just to have a place to say hello with out talking of beliefs. And not to give out info so much but just to say howdy. I am reading but not writting today.
I guess just to see everyone is okay. And if anyone would like to just say hello from time to time.
Well this is me turtle so hope you all have a good day.

I think each day what would be good if factnet allows us to do this is someone start a new topic under this thread and put the date so that the others can be deleted if factnet allows us. I do not know if they have a rule to stop us. But this post could get very long. And by starting a new topic with date and we just use the newest day it make it easier for them i think . could be wrong. anyone else have an idea on this.

Arron,
My dad is dying from myloema cancer. In March he had a complete kidney failure and ended up in the emergency room. His condition has stabalized and he is out. He has been calling out to the Lord for help. In April I felt led to call my parents up. My mom let me talk to my dad, (who is saved), and he was in super depression. He said that he wanted to read his Bible, but was not able to concentrate. I told him it was hard to know what to say for a person with terminal cancer and he agreed. Then I felt led to suggest to him to look at the Visual Bible movies, these movies are word for word from NIV, and other Christian movies like this. Since that time that is about all he seems to do, and his mind is able to concentrate on the films with the words.
It is hard to go through things like this, though sometimes the person going through it can come closer to the Lord for it. My dad thinks of Job.
I know what you are going through to some extent, keep praying. It is difficult for me also.

Arron, EasyT, I am sorry for your sick loved ones. I pray that the Holy Ghost gives you and them comfort in your hour of darkness.
Turtle, why don't you think it is to good. I personally thought it was a good idea. Let us get to know one another instead of one anothers beliefs. I thought it was a good idea,.
My wife and I will be going down home to Nc next week. We are taking our ultrasound pics with us. Everyone is anxious to see them. I was joyed beyond words when the nurse moved th little thing around and I saw my baby for the first time. I was moved to tears. I do not know if I have ever been moved so strongly. It was wonderful.
This will be our first child. Our second pregnancy. My wife had a miscarriage in may of 2004. It was really hard. She was about six weeks and the baby never developed a heart beat. The doctort said that it was due to the cells not splitting right. He said it was common.
My wife hadn't been in church much and she was really devasted. It hurt her faith. She was in depression for several months. It was a planned pregnancy. And, we were so exited. The when it turned tragic. It was very hard to recover. But, we made it thru by the grace of God. I had to pray a many a night for the Holy Ghost to comfort us. And, He brought us thru. Which makes this pregnancy that much more wonderful.
I am Jesus man. God Bless.

Write what your heart tells you. Thank you for taking time to posting here on this page.
Actually if no one can tell I am a computer nut and love to talk. You can find me online alot then sometimes not.

Jason,
I feel bad for you and your wife regarding the first pregnancy being lost. Sometimes these things just don't make any sense to us in our physical world. It seems from your post that you are looking forward for what Christ has for you.
We look ahead and press on towards Christ. The Lord uses these situations in our lives.
Lord help Jason and his wife with this pregnancy.

Arron,
It's hard when it's relatives.
My cousin got shot with a shot gun in his leg when he was young, and now his son has drug problems.
You trust a relative more, and then they do these types of things to you. There are just some bad apples.

It is so easy to get heated on these board. If people knew what I like to say sometimes they may not like me to much. I think you got the idea a place to cool off. We get so heated in these discussions about our own beliefs sometimes we loose focus on what is important. i thought of starting a board on what we all have in common in our faith. But I wonder if we could even come to agreement complete there.
I finally figured out why so many mansions in heaven. The pencostals in one, Baptist in one, presbyterians in one, and so on and so forth. I meant this as a joke. But i wonder if we can not have unity through the HOly Spirit here how can we be in agreement in heaven. Okay that is off topic. Whole knew topic there. Maybe I will start it.

Well, I had a rough bible study a lady daughter called in the middle of it to let her know that her sister is at the hospital with possible cancer and is coughing up blood. Of course we all prayed and they lady excussed herself from the study. I just feel so helpless in someways. I know to pray but i am so lost for words sometimes. yet I know how bad news effect each and everyone of us. What words do you convey. Sometimes I find myself speechless. And I know those who know how much I type say not you cant' think of a word to speak. but even me have no clue of what to say sometimes. Just keep me in pray because right now these people in my bible study look at me as there pastor. Only a few actually attend church elsewhere. So keep me in pray that God will give me wisdom of what to say.

I have a question for you guys...I just heard about this and it just greived my spirit to no end....YESHUA THE WAY. This perosn or group or whoever says that we are wrong that the name is not Jesus but Yeshua and that we are suppose to be baptized in the name of Yeshua not Jesus...have any of you heard about this....I did some research and found this site....http://www.jesustheway.net/easywaytoheaven.htm I read some of the stuff and the scripture was even changed to say Yeshua instead of Jesus. Is this false doctrine or what? Thank you.....

Acts it is okay to ask the question but if you find someone that knows something about it on this page and you wish to discuss I would rather the doctrinal issuees be done on another page. you did not offend. I was just asking. If i offend you please forgive me.
Also you might get more coverage from a page like this and might get a quicker answer to your question. So what you did was fine. I just really want to see a page that we can just talk or share pray needs. It seems we are always arguing on these boards or heated discussion at times.

arron, I know what you mean about not knowing what to say. I can tell you from personal experience, you don't have to 'say' anything. Just being there, or a hug or touch of a hand is wonderful.
I was widowed at age 38. I lost my faith in God and life in general for awhile. Hang onto Him for all you are worth. I became angry when people told me time will heal. But I know it to be true. Now you will not want to hear it. In the last 1 and a half years I lost my father and my very favorite aunt. Because I learned to hold onto God and His mercy, I was able to go through the pain and come out victorious. Satan loves to see our pain. Jesus suffered for us and with us. He has known every pain imaginable, so He truly understands. Knowing that your brother is going to be with the Lord can bring joy amidst the pain and fear of what you haven't yet experienced.
Please forgive me if I have said too much. My heart goes out to you, in all sincerity.

Turtle . . . thanks!
It's been a busy week or so. But also Factnet (as it can at times) was not a place to fellowship and Satan was using it big time on a thread against me . . . so I nipped it in the bud. But this thread seems peaceful and full of charity.
Been busy with my dad who was recently widowed. He shocked me last week by announcing that he was going to go visit my mothers family . . . aka the "real" YaYa's. LOL!
This may seem like nothing but . . . My mother's family holds the gold record for the fastest and most talkative individuals on this planet. (Not meaning to criticize and it is no joke. . . just the truth.) I have been dubbed the "quiet one" - - which actually I'm quite proud to be. It's kinda like competitive eating at a Sunday afternoon food bar . . . just competitive talking. They all talk at once and expect you to understand them all at the same time. I was with my cousin on my dad's side of the family last night and we were laughing about this and he sad the funny thing is that the men (all married into the family) seem normal. LOL! My mother had four sisters and a brother. Don't mean to go on and on about this, I was just amazed that my dad ventured such a trip by himself without one of the kids to play interference for him. But then again he knew what he was getting into when he married into the family.
Here is an example . . . my aunt closest to my mothers age literally did a dramatic movie type fainting at my mom's memorial service. Now they were close and we would never tell my aunt that "everyone" thought she was faking this . . . if you were there you would know what I'm talking about. (Ever see the Ya-Ya Sisterhood movie?) No joke. That's what it was like. That's what my mom's family is like. Got to love them but great movie material! So here I am a sinner talking about my mom's family (truthfully, at least from my perception) . . . does that make me an evil, sinful person? I'm just concerned about my dad alone with no one to help him get away when needed.
I, on the otherhand, can write and write, like they can talk and talk. So I guess I'm just like them but use the written word instead.
Hopefully I have not been too judgmental about my own family and have provided you guys with some comic relief.
On the up side . . . my son announced to me this week that he feels like he is being called to be a missionary. Please keep this in your prayers!
God Bless,

My family, (and as it turned out, I too)was transient. I was born in Marietta, GA. Don't know a thing about it, we left when I was a baby. My siblings were born in Oklahoma, Wyoming, and California. We homesteaded in Ninilchik, Alaska, in 1952. I lived there for about 34 years. In 1988, I moved to Southern Oregon. I recently returned from a month long visit to Alaska and family. It got dark about 4 1/2 hours per day. I am still getting readjusted to getting adjusted. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/happy.gifI love it here and plan to stay til the Lord calls me home. Wyoming, I wish I could join you all in Bend. Would love to meet you and your family and friends. Maybe someday!

Oh, when I said 'lived there', I meant Alaska, not just Ninilchik. I've also lived for short periods in Texas, Michigan and California. Some day I would like to see the East coast.

Once you know where fredicksburg is you ever heard of Orange or Madison County. That is where I lived about two and half years in both county's. Beautiful farm land and plenty of mountains views. Charoletteville as grown up alot since I was there last. I got lost in Madison because the added a Mcdonalds. LOL. I still have family in that area. It is not a trip I will make this time of year because of the humidity. Where I am the humidity is not that high but lately it seems to be higher then usual.

Sharon, I wish I could have taken that train from west to east of Canada. I understand it only goes part ways now. I've been over the Alcan several times. I love to see documentaries about Nova Scotia and other areas there. Fascinating. Is there a predominant religion in Nova Scotia? (In Alaska the Russian Orthodox faith is).

I have decided if you walk off these boards and do not feel challenged in your faith and find it a growing experience then you miss out. Even if you disagree you either figure out why you agree or why you don't. Just thanks everyone for putting up with me on these boards.

godchild (godchild)...Nova Scotia is a beautiful place. I live a hour away from Oak Island, ever heard of that place? We are mostly Christian here. We are a really lay back kind of people. I live in the Annapolis Valley, we have the most apple trees in the world. And we are the setting of the magical apple tree.
We also have Castle of the Cross that was supposedly made by the Templar Knights and is the subject of the Holy Grail across the Alantic.
We are all here because our ancestors ran away from someplace else. Except the natives. There are alot of Scottish and Irish here, and alot of the Blacks who ran away on the underground railroad ended up here. Oprah was very surprised to hear that NS had a large black population, as most do not know this.
If you live in Alaska then you would feel right at home here in the winter time. Brrr.
turtle ... My prayers are with you . I for one have not put up with you, for I have found you to be a blessing often. I also see that others are thanking you for you words. You are very needed here. May GOd Bless.

Sharon, I lived in Alaska for about 35 years. The winters became too much. I'm going to google Nova Scotia, it sounds so cool.

Nova Scotia cool, you bet, forty below here sometimes in the winter. brrr. Well actually our weather has changed of late and we do not get the winters of old. Nor the summers, it once was very hot here in summer but that has changed and it is now the most perfect temp.
You picked apples in canada doug? You could do that again any time as they can never find enough people to pick these days. I do not know where that apple place is, but we have many. We are offically the blueberry capital of the world. Now I sound like I am bragging, and I am, I love it here. In fact it is almost time for the berries. Little bullets of health is what I call them.

I am not much of a musician but I could of been if I just practiced when I was suppose to. Singing in the church choir is my limit with voice and I am not sure I am in key half the time. But it is a great ministry in what you are doing in the shelter. People their need to know God does still care and have not forgotten them. May God bless you as you outreach to them. I will be praying.

I have not heard from Jason in a long time. It would be nice to here from him without being in a debate. I hope he has not been bit by a snake. I should not make cracks like that. Bad turtle. But I do wonder why he hasn't been around.

I see you never found Jason. Wonder what happened to him. Anyway I looked back to see if maybe he had placed his address here. I don't know how much help this will be to those with suffering loved ones but if you want to check it out go to the Greater Grace World Outreach thread and click on the Urgent prayer thread.I have posted a documentation of what I went through as my mother was dieing.
It shows how God is faithful and comes through in all we endure.
Love in Christ
