Called lives in the Philippines. You might have heard that they were hit with a Typhoon and flaming volcanic boulders this past Friday.

I have emailed him and have not heard back from him. Also, you may have noticed that he has not posted here since then.

Please keep him and his family as well as everyone living there in your hearts and prayers. I realize that communication must be down but I fear that he or his family may have been injured or worse in this disaster.

PLEASE....rather you care for him or his ministry is irrelevant. He as well as all of the citizens there need our help and prayers. If anyone can shed light onto what is going on over there please post it here. I have been unable to find out much of anything and timewise I have had almost no time to do a proper search.

Any information would be most appreciated.

here is his location in the Philippines

Thanks to all of you!!!!!

Will do - please keep us posted regarding his safety.

I have been concerned also, Kimberly. Johnny and his family are on the central island of Bohol, which is 200 miles to the south of the hardest-hit area of Legazpi City.

It would appear that all the casualties were on southern Luzon:
http://www.theboholchronicle.com/jbefore.php?issue=209&s1=2800&s2=&s3=&s4=&s5=2803& s6=778&s7=2804&s9=&s10=
So chances are high that he is OK, although they surely took a good pounding too. He is most likely quite busy with relief efforts. Either way, he is immortal until Yahweh gets through with him!

I have E-mailed him, & if I hear from him before he posts here, I will be sure to let you know.

I will pray for him as well. When 3rd world countries are hit by such storms-it is often a long haul to get communication up and running again

Hey look, we may not all agree on scripture and church doctrine, but I sure hope that we agree to pray for our fellow man in need.

Absolutely will I say a prayer for him.

God bless Johnny!!

Assist us, O Lord our God;
and defend us evermore by the might of Thy holy Cross,
in whose honour Thou makest us to rejoice.

Glad you are ok but I can't forgive you for being what's not sin.
When is the baby due?
I used to collect herbs and used to give pregnant women something the native americans called squaw vine. They said it made their labor easier but I don't know what your wife;s particular difficulties are. I send my best wishes.

Johnny - Called,

I am thankful to God that you are okay. We do not have typhoons in our area, but have experienced very heavy snow which has knocked off the power grid for several cities in our area for the past two days and a couple of hours at a time. This is very dangerous for those who do not have good insulation and asleep at night when it went down. They are still circling the skies looking for stranded motorists.

I hope and pray, likewise, for those in your area that God will grant safety.

I would like to make a resolution that on this thread we can all come here, pray and at least agree on God's mercy.

http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/talker.gif We'll use to other threads to disagree. Does that sound reasonable to everyone?

God bless you all!!

sounds good to me, catholic_man!

Johnny: Vitamin B6 every morning helps deter morning sickness for many women. Preg women also need red raspberry tea, and olive oil inside the birth canal to facilitate natural delivery. Even though she did not survive her third pregnancy, my wife did these things, and never had morning sickness or complications with any of our children.

I assume you meant 'thread' and not really referring to me as a 'threat!' Just kidding!

We will be praying for you. It has been five years since we had our son. I remember the days.

I remember my wife saying, "You don't know what it's like, you're a man!" But what the womenfolk fail to realize is that we have to put up with them for nine months! http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/crazy.gif

Yes, I really cherish little ones. God Bless!

Pastor Johnny,

Hey, just saw your post. I have been busy over the holidays trying to recover from the flu, attneding govt. apps for benefits, and had a friend come down for a few days with some of my furniture....so the basement looks more like home...Woo-Hoo!

You and your family are constantly in our prayers!

Thanks for yours!!!

Your Sister Kim in Christ!

You said it well...about coming together and agreeing on God's mercy...and praying together....

That was refreshing to hear....honest...

It doesnt even take our Lord to bring oneness of heart ( ...sheer willpower and goodwill within individuals heart can achieve that.....then allow our lord to top it all with blessings galore!!

Hey....a further thought and an honest one!! If we were all to meet up, would we hesitate to get together and worship together......would our assurances of prayers in postings become a reality in the flesh....?????

The word "compromise" has over generations been a dirty word......the word "compromise" can become a most powerful word, which propels the Church forward in its witness, as opposed to its often being stuck in the mud because of arrogance, piety, disrespect and stubborness.

Thats a great question! I myself do not believe it would work because we are all to divided, we would only argue over scripturs or doctrine just like we do here!!! Im just being honest brother! But i wish to God it could happen!!!

"why is it that john the baptist was said to be filled with the holy spirit from the womb and yet yeshua said that the holy spirit could not be sent until he returned to the father?

there has been much debate over whether anyone could have had the holy spirit pryor to yeshuas ascension."

Pastor Johnny,

The above is a question posted on another folder/thread. I kept their name off since I did not ask their permission to copy/paste it.

It's a good question, which as of this posting has not been addressed.

Got any answers for it?

Yashua said he must go back to the Father so he could send 'The Helper". That is about all I know. Are they one in the same?

i do not realy have an answer for you right now off the top of my head, other than john was chosen and sent 6 months ahead of time to make straight the path for our Messiah! and that he was the greatest man ever born of a woman! so i would say that the holy spirit had to be in him in order for him to fullfil this God given mission! i would also say that they were one in spirit but this is not written! hope this helps a little for now, ill try to study more on it! Thanks for making me think!

The Holy Spirit always has been AT WORK from the beginning, irrespective of any human vessel.

The Holy Spirit has INDWELT believers since the Outpouring according to the account in the Book of Acts -( enabling power).

Hi Sister Kim

I thought most of the night about your quistion and here is what i came up with! John the Baptist was an old testament jew, So were his Mother and father, Elisabeth and Zacharias! The Holy spirit was very much at work in the Jewish people of the OT,The sad part was most of them rejected it or would not follow its lead!!! Elisabeth the cousin of mary was and old barren women when God chose her to conceive and bring fourth the forerunner of Christ, Elisabeth in her sixth month of pregnetacy received the Holy spirit herself before the ascension of Christ when she heard the salutation of mary!
MAL 3:1 tells us that John the Baptist was a messenger sent by God himself to prepare the way for our Lord, Also see Is 40:3-5

John the Baptist was also considered an OT Prophet because he was lead by the Holy Spirit to preach the kingdom of God and to prophesy of the soon coming Messiah in the flesh!!!

Just as the OT Prophets were moved by the Holy spirit to prophesy of the coming of Messiah , So was John the Baptist from his mothers womb!!!

it was prophesyed by the OT prophets that john the Baptist would be sent by God himself to be his personal messenger, to preach the Kingdom of God and to prepare the way for the Lord,

Mark 1:1-5

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

2 {{{As it is written in the prophets}}}, {{{Behold, I send my messenger before thy face}}}, {{{which shall prepare thy way before thee}}}.

3 {{{The voice of one crying in the wilderness}}}, {{{Prepare ye the way of the Lord}}}, {{{make his paths straight}}}.

4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

and all God,s true messengers were and are today Holy spirit filled! {{{and the very forerunner of Christ himself would have been filled with the Holy Spirit the most woulden,t you think?}}} God said that John the Baptist was the greatest man ever born of a woman!!!

just a few thoughts i hope they help!!!

God Bless you

Johnny

hello Everyone!

I have a message from "Called" AKA Pastor Johnny....

He and his family are well and fine but he is having communication problems via the internet/Factnet the last couple of days and he wanted everyone to know that he is willing but unable at this time to respond to any posts directed at him until the communication problems clears up in his area.

He sends his love and apologies and will be back on Factnet as soon as it is possible.

Kim,

I am just wondering what yaqakallah is? What is it's significance? Is there a story you can share that is behind it?

Don't mean to be nosy, just curious. I don't often see a 'q' without a 'u' after it in English.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello everyone!

In Hebrew, yaqa=left, leave behind, abandon
kallah=bride,wife

Hence, yaqakallah means abandoned wife which is what I am.

The username, kimberlyfredrick IS my real name, but I do not wish to use the name Fredrick for ovious reasons.

Hope that helps!

Kim,

That's pretty morbid, really. I hope you look at the bright side of things more than that. It's nicer to get through life with a more positive outlook.

Taking from Strong's Hebrew dictionary, which is not the only source of course, but says "a primitive root; properly, to sever oneself, i.e. (by implication) to be dislocated; figuratively, to abandon; causatively, to impale (and thus allow to drop to pieces by rotting):--be alienated, depart, hang (up), be out of joint."

Yikes.

I hope you feel your own self worth more than this. You as one of G-d creatures are more worthy that wallowing that low. Pick yourself up and believe in your own value.

You should change your name again on Factnet to help you along. You said you want to drop his last name, and yet you continue to give him credence by what you again call yourself--"abandoned wife".

My name means 'loving kindness' generally. It describes what I strive to be as a person. It's how I live my life. I am not defined by the action of others upon me. You mustn't let yourself be described by the actions of others upon you.

Ok, that's enough of my unsolicited advice. Hey, but what else is Factnet for?

yaqakallah
01-12-2007, 06:24 AM
Cheesed,

How swwet of you to worry for me so, but I assure you I am comfortable with the name. It has much more meaning to me and is not one of self-pity nor one of wanting pity. I rejoice for who I am because YHVH carried me and the kids and still is!

I have a purpose yet to fullfill for our Abba. He is strenghting me for HIS WILL!

And I am defined by what my husband did to me and the kids. That has given me life experiences which I can now share and minister to others to do the work of YHVH!

Don't you see, I am not ashamed, I am what I am and thru it all I have grown more in knowledge and wisdom than in all my years on this earth combined! My life changed for the better(spiritually) and I was and still am blessed of God.

If you knew the whole story you would understand. But that would take a book!

Why are you all of the sudden into using all of these Hebrew words? How much of the New Testament is written in Hebrew? All of the Jews I know who know Hebrew reject your messiah. And if I might add, your goal should be to see yourelf defined by your children and the way they grow up, not by your ex husband. Just suck it up and move on.
