The Bible is very very clear in its teachings that Many are called but only few are chosen! And that Straight and Narrow is the way that leads to life but few their be that find it!!!
Yet we have these supper Mega Churches in the USA and worldwide that seems to be growing everyday even though their teachings contradict eachother and none of them line up 100% with the living word of God!!!
I say that none of these Mega Churches are of God because None of them Truly Fear God nor Obey the Gospel of Christ! they are only out to take your mony and later your very Soul!!!
You have 76% of the population of America Claiming to be Christians which most of them belong to one of these mega churches!
Catholic
United Methodist Church
Southern Baptist Convention
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod
American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A.
Episcopal Church
United Church of Christ
Churches of Christ
Assemblies of God
African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church
Christian Churches and Churches of Christ
Baptist Missionary Association of America
Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod
And the List goes on and on and on!!! but to save space i wont list them!!! But you know which one you belong to!!!
So which one do you think has the Truth and which one will lead you into the kingdom of God one day???
I say NONE OF THEM ARE OF GOD!!! Because none of them teach the True Gospel of Christ that the Apostles died for 2000 years ago!!!
Can anyone prove me wrong?

Called, I too am not fond of the Mega churches-though probably not for the same reasons as you.
I think christianity has become BIG business in this country and has lost sight of the simplicity of the message of Christ!
I always considered the mega churches to be those where a congregation was mega, like 10,000 attendees for a single service, not the church organization. I never thought of those listed as “mega-churches.” That definition would mean as soon as a particular dogma became big it would then fit into the category of mega, even if a individual congregation only had a handful of followers. In my opinion, call’s problem is that he believes that only those who follow his interpretation are following the truth; all others are doomed to hell. Too judgmental for me.
rachel, yes, the message is extremely simple. The legalists make it hard, probably impossible to succeed.

Johnny,
My apoligies for not being clear in my above post.
I was commenting on Chesed's sense of humor.
First let me say I believe there some true Christians to be found in all Churches and I believe they are at many different points in their path towards learning the truth of God.
I think people who truly seek understanding reach a point somewhere in their journey where they will separate themselves from a Church that goes against what they are taught by the Holy Spirit.
Would I join a mega Church or a major denominational Church? I havent found one I feel compelled to join yet. One day when I start seeking in earnest, I think I'll be able to find a small non-denominational Church I would enjoy attending, or even find 2 or 3 people and forming a small non-503c Church.
Thats one thing I respect about the Amish and Mennonites. They pay Caesar his taxes and suffer no government manipulation.

Okay, then, I won't follow you, because I believe that you will lead me into error.
Don't you see the problem with your own high-minded self-interpretation? What makes YOUR interpretation any better than anyone elses' including the pope? Why should I follow what YOU say? How do I know that you are properly dividing the word of truth?
Don't get me wrong; I have an affinity for the written word of God. The problem I see is that too many people want to put all this emphasis and the written word that they forget that Jesus wrote his word in our hearts. I have no problem at all with someone dedicated to reading the bible. I have read it all the way through and the NT many, many times all the way through.
I would just like to know where you received your authority to proclaim YOUR version of teaching the word? What is it about your interpretation that makes you right and the Baptist, Methodist and everyone else wrong?
Everyone:
When will you ALL realise that it is your own minds, your own egos, your own personas that are at fault? It is they that the Hebrew word satan refers to - NOTHING ELSE!

Hello all,
I think that it would be interesting to make mention of the big churches in places like Mozambique where they have HUGE numbers and also in Korea...from what I know about these services they are honestly seeking the Lord and great things are being done - none of course on Christian TV channells etc like say Lakewood - but perhaps not all mega churches are "evil" as you say and perhaps some smallers ones are worse!

You are dead wrong. There are many churches which are growing leaps and bounds because they focus on the true message of christ which is not liked, yet they preach the hard one. People are hungry for the truth. Those churches which preach the truth grow. They also have fruitful ministries. They serve the church family as well as extended church into the neighborhood and the world. They care about the homeless, orphans and widows. They care about the AIDS patients and the homosexuals. They really grow. Then there are others, who focus on power, greed and wealth, These churches gorw at the cost of sincere believers. They are the big suckers. These are hypocrites. So, do not put them all together and condemn. I have been amember of one of the fastest growing churches, I know what it does. It is cherry Creek community church in colorado, There are many like these. So, do not throw stones at them.
It is a myth that all large church's have some how sold out.
A handful are more concerned with buildings, money and numbers.
What about those that are growing because they are doing something right?
Is a small church, which stays small, more spiritual? If they are, why are people not coming to Christ, and their membership growing? Isn't this what is mandated in scripture?
One church that I know of, in Grandville, MI which is a suburb of Grand Rapids, has grown to over 10,000 strong. They do not advertise or even have sign on the road. They purchased an old mall, and there is still a YMCA attached to their bulding.
There is no one "Key" to growing a church, but they have grown for many different reasons. Their pastor is not money hungry, and in fact, he is opposed to "Church, INC."
Are they unbiblical? I can tell you one thing, their pastor knows more about the scriptures than many small church pastors.

Amen, bear
I totally agree. A church that isn't growing is stagnating; if we're spreading the gospel, preaching the Word and making disciples then our church WILL grow. If not, something's wrong. Believe me, I've been the churches whose numbers stayed the same for years; the only growth was from members having babies. The new members only replaced the old ones who left. There was no life, no anointing, no truth, so no growth. Smaller is not necessarily better.

What is a church? It is not the minister. Every member of that congregation is the church. We all have arole to play. Do we go to church on Sundays and have our communion with /God, enjoy His presence and go home and forget about everything till the next sunday? A church will not grow with DEAD members. If the members become alamp and light to the dying world and they will be salt to the earth, this church will translofrm the society. What is our calling? Our calling is to live a Godly life and lead others to Christ. We also must care for the widows, orphans. This is whart the church of the first century practised. they were even prepared to die for their faith. Rememb er, these days are coming here. Islamo fascists will demand your convewrsion to Islam. If you deny, your head will be cut off. All those FALSE MEGACHURCHES will accept Muhammed as the prophet whereas the TRUE MEGACHURCH WILL STAND AGAINST ISLAM and stand for its faith in Christ.

I really do not think the SIZE of the church matters. "It's not the quantity of the people in the door, but the quality when they open the door of their heart." I heard another quote, too, to drive the point home.
"It's not the number of days in your life that matters; but the amount of life in your days!"
There are good hearted, honest and sincere Christians in churches, big and small alike. There are also some really bad ones passing through the same doors.
There will NOT be a Catholic heaven, Baptist heaven, Lakewood heaven, Pentecostal heaven, Lutheran heaven, Anglican heaven, Jewish heaven, agnostic heaven, gnostic heaven nor an atheist heaven ;-)
Nope! Heaven will simply be heaven and hell will simply be hell.
The problem I see with a lot of these forums is that they are nameless and faceless. Therefore, if we are not careful it is easy to get into the flesh and disrespect others. I admit that I have been somewhat guilty of it myself. People think, "Well I'll never met this guy, so I'm going to give him a piece of my mind!"
Don't we want to meet in heaven? So our salvation isn't contingent on the number of people around us in a church building. I believe that God is more concerned about quality of heart.
There can be corruption in a small community church with misappropriated funds as there could be in a mega church. There can be just as much as people acting in the flesh as opposed to the spirit no matter how many people are around.
So to condemn a mega church for being large...rediculous. Maybe God will just condemn all of us because the world is too big.

Hi inkorrekt
Please let me ask you a question if i may, and this question goes for everyone!!!
1. Dose your Church, Ministry, place of Worship or group of belivers Teach and Practice {ONLY} what was Taught and Practiced by the Apostles themselfs while they walked the face of this earth 2000 years ago??? {{{And Please be 100% completely {HONEST} HERE OK!!!
2. dose your Place of worship Start, Stay and Continue steadfastly in the {{{APOSTLES DOCTRINE ONLY}}} {WITHOUT COMPROMISING IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM}???
3. Dose what your Pastor or Minister Preach or Teach line up 100% completely with the word of God as it is written word for word without adding or taking away anything whatsoever????????????
Let us see just a few exampels ok!
1. Does your place of worship teach that the Holy Spirit is the Third person of the GodHead? {{{The Apostles NEVER TAUGHT THIS CATHOLIC DOCTRINE}}}
2. Does your place of worship baptize in the Trinitarian formula found in Mat 28:19? {{{This was NEVER ONCE PRACTICED BY THE APOSTLES}}}
3. is people in your place of worship being slain in the spirit? {{{This is not a Biblical practice}}}
Is the Brothers and sisters in your place of worship bouncing off the walls, swinging from the lights, fliping over the pews, kicking off their shoes, running around the building, screaming on top of their lungs in uncomprehendable gibberish without an interpreter, falling on the floor and shaking like a fish out of water or something? {{{If so these things were never once practiced by the Apostles or Christians in the early church}}}!!!
4. Does your place of worship collect OT Tithes! Tithing was never once Practiced or Collected by the Apostlesin the first century church! and was not practiced in the so called gentile church known as the RCC until the 5TH or 6Th century. Please see TITHING REFERENCES http://prayershack.freeservers.com/tithing/
5. Doese your place of worship let the Sisters cut their hair short like men? this was not a practice of the early church!!! and diden,t start until the 19TH Century!!!
6. dose your place of worship teach that Baptism is Not nessasery? Baptism is a COMMANDMENT OF CHRIST!!! And each and every NT Convert was Baptized without exception!!!
I can go on and on all day with all the unbiblical practices out their today! But the point is simply this, If what your Church or place of worship teaches and practices dose not truly line up with the true Apostolic teachings and Practaces found in the Scriptures than your place of worship is APOSTATE POINT BLANK!!!

They asked me to be baptized in the name of JESUS ONLY. This is unbiblical. Let me ask you this. How did God minister to His people in the old testament? Of course, there were prophets. Besides prophets, how did God manifest Himself?
Regarding Islamofascism, they are from the pits of Hell and the messengers of Satan. They are the ones who will persecute the church. Do you not see what is happening all over the world? How could you be totally blind to their militancy in spreading their message at the point of the sword all over the world?

Islamofascism is not mentioned in the Bible. But, Ezekiel 37 and 38 clearly shows what will happen to the enemies of the Gospel and also those who hate Isreal. The Iranian President who is the Modern Hitler has warned many times that he will exterminate Isreal. Do you know anything about Isreal mentioned in the Bible?
IK,
I know all about what the bible says concerning Israel in the end times.
I have no doubt that Islam will attempt to persecute, but I do not see what you are claiming to be scriptural.
Actually, I was commenting and questioning your comment:
"All those FALSE MEGACHURCHES will accept Muhammed as the prophet whereas the TRUE MEGACHURCH WILL STAND AGAINST ISLAM and stand for its faith in Christ."
1. What do you define as a false Meaga-Church?
2. Where does the scripture teach that Christian church's will accept Muhammed as the true prophet?

I HATE THE TRINITY WITH A PASSION!
Did Christ or the Apostles teach you in the word of God that {{{God is the first person of the Blessed Trinity or Godhead? Did they teach you in the word that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Blessed Trinity or Godhead? Did they teach you in the word that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of some Blessed Trinity or Godhead?
Is {ANY} of this Apostate Trinitarian GARBAGE ACTUALLY WRITTEN ANYWHERE IN THE WORD OF GOD!!! If not than where the Hell does it come from????????????????????????
Did the Apostles teach you in the word of God that we have GOD THE FATHER,GOD THE SON, AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT and these THREE ARE ONE??? Is This Garbage actully WRITTEN ANYWERE in Scriptures? My Bible tells me but for us their is but ONE GOD {{{THE FATHER}}}, 1 Cor 8:6 {{{ IT IS WRITTEN}}}
And why did it take 381 years and two roman catholic councils to fully formulate and develop this unbiblical Trinitarian doctrine and FORCE it on the Church at large???????????????????????
And why was their no Theological Studies done on this Apostate Catholic Doctrine until the 4TH Century????????????????????
And why in the world did the Roman Catholic church waite until AFTER the death of Christ to start Baptizing NT Converts in a Trinitarian formula????????????????????????
Can you or anyone elese in this world show me at least one Trinitarian Baptism in the Scriptures????????????????????????
I would love to hear some hard, stone cold facts and answers to these ouestions, keeping it 100% Biblical without anyone adding their own opions!!!

True megachurch meets the needs of the community. It does not focus on building monuments. It is in the act of building people, meeting their spiritual and physical needs. When they draw people to Christ, the church builds itself.
False megachurches preach prosperity for themselves when the members are broke. They do ntopreach anything else except faith and prosperity. apostle Paul earned his living by making tents. The mega churches buy jetplanes for the minsters. The false megachurches focus on successbased on faith in faith itslef and not in God. They are metaphysical. So, it does not matter to them if it is Allah, Buddha or even aGenie who will give them wealth. They will accept anyone under stress. They will deny Christ because Christ was poor and rejected.
JEsus gave thecommandment Go into all the world make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy spirit. What kind of bible do you read which does not have this verse?.

Ok i understanding what your saying and its true the Churches today are only out for money and worldly comfort and Power!!! None of them! and i mean NONE OF THEM Practice the true Apostolic Christianity of the First century church that was birthed out of the Book of Acts!!! But If you or anyone elese can possiable name one that does than Im all ears!!!
As for the trinitarian baptismal formula found in the tail end of Mat 28:19
please try and understand just what im saying ok!
If this verse has not been tampered with and this trinitarian baptism formula has not been added by the Roman Catholic church in the early centures
Than We Truly have a very very seirous problem indeed!!!
Because This would mean that the hand picked Apostles of Christ Almighty either Completely Ignored the Commandment of Christ given in The Great Commission or they deliberately disobeyed it!!! One or the other! So take your pick!!! If so than the 3000 Souls that were baptized and added to the Church on the day of Pentecost were deceived by the chosen Apostles themselfs and Baptized completely WRONG, as well as every other NT Convert recorded in the 27 books of the NT Canon!!!Because Acts 2:38 is the ONLY WAY NT Converts got Baptized in the First Century Church while the Apostles were still alive and kicking Brother!!! And NO One can come against this Stone cold Biblical FACT!!!
WOULD YOU PLEASE ADMITE THIS!!!

You are very deeply deceived sir!!!
“… for us there is but ONE Elohim (God), the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but ONE Lord, YahoShua the Messiah, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” I Corinthians 8:6.
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the TRUTH. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the {{{man}}} Messiah YahoShua, who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy 2:3-6.
“Men of Israel, hear these words: YahoShua of Nazareth, a man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through him in your midst.” Acts 2:22.
God anointed YahoShua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” Acts 10:38.
The records within the Church of Rome, and from other Orthodox Churches (Ecclesiastical history) shows clearly that the doctrine of the trinity was slowly superimposed upon the Truth of the Word of God, until it completely obscured it, fulfilling the warning the faithful in Messiah were given in 2 Timothy 4:1-3.
Come out from among them, Sir!!!

Megachurch, microchurch, emerging church, pentecostal church...it's not about "church" people, it's about a relationship. You can attend any church or no church at all and still have a relationship with Jesus.
There are things about megachurches that make my skin crawl, but to generalize and demonize is really not what we should be doing..."beloved, Love one another for Love is from God."
Take care ya'll!
If Jesus is the Father:
1. Who did he pray to, himself?
2. Did God die?
3. Did Jesus raise him self from the dead?
4. How is our fellowship with the Father and his son, Jesus Christ?
5. Who was running things when Jesus was in the womb?
In John 15-16, we see clear proof that all three are seperate.
When Jesus stated that he must go to the Father before he could send the HS, what was he saying?
Biblical answer: Exactly what is stated.
Oneness answer: That he needed to return to himself in order to change clothes, turn around, and send himself back.
The second answer does not make any sense, nor is it supported anywhere in the text.

Hmmm....Jehovah Witnesses believe this also. I wonder how this is going to work out? Perhaps there are 2 sets of the 144,000? It would probably be pretty upsetting for one, after they counted heads, and that one was 144,001 and got left behind, and after all this time he could have sworn that he was easily in there with the 144,000.

Called you are incorrect again. Take one full apple pie, cut it into slices.. isn't this still the amount of one whole pie? How about an egg? You have the shell, the white and the yolk. If you divide them into this three and eat them all you are eating one egg. So yes it is possible.

called,
Let's look at this from your angle. Who do you say the Father is? Who do you say Jesus Christ is? Who do you say the Holy Spirit is? Are any of these not God? Please answer these questions 1 at a time then answer the last question to give summation of your answers.

You’re making good sense, called. If any elementary school pupil put 1+1+1=1 on their math paper, they would get an F.
They have god, jesus, and ghost all having separate characteristics, separate experiences, and talking to each other. One doesn’t know what the other is doing. It’s like putting a slice of apple pie, pecan pie, and cheesecake together in a pan and calling it one pie.

"It is a mathematical impossiabitly to divide one in anyway shape or form and still have one!"
Perhaps all that appears as seperate is, in reality, One. All proceeds from God and all must return to God. "In the beginning God created..." All things eminate from God.
Hello, inkorrect, and thank you for your response.
Please read the entire post to understand my position.
In the NT we see several examples of Jesus's equality with the Father, e.g., Phil 2:6. Also, Jesus claimed that he was "I Am". Jesus told his disciples that if they have seen him, they have seen the Father.
However, This does not in anyway show that he is the Father. The Apostles never taught this; Paul never once claims that Jesus is the Father.
Now, as to my previous questions I need to comment.
My question: Who Did Jesus pray to, himself?
Your answer: Jesus prayed to His Father.
Rebutal: From your percepctive, Jesus is the Father, so how can he pray to himself?
}My question: Did God die?
}Your answer: No God never died, it was His son in human form.
Rebutal: You have stated that 1+1=1. From that view, God had to die, otherwise you contradict your position.
}My question: Did Jesus raise himself from the dead?
}Your answer: Yes He did, rise from the dead. He appeared to more than 500.
Rebutal: I did not ask if he rose, I asked did he raise himself from the dead? If you say no, then you once again contradict your position that Jesus and the Father are the same person.
}My question:How is our fellowship with the Father and his son, Jeusus Christ?
}Your answer: Our relationship with Father God and His son is is one and the same.
Rebutal: OK, but why does John point out that our fellowship is with both? John is not saying that the Father is Jesus, rather that we have fellowship with both; 2 seperate individuals. If this were not the case, John would have made that clear.
}My question: Who was running things when Jesus was in the womb?
}Your answer: When Jesus was in the womb it was the Holy Spirit who came as an angel to prophesy to Joseph.
Rebutal:
1. You did not answer the question at all.
2. "The Angel of the Lord", mentioned in Matthew 1:2 is not the Holy Spirt. Note the following:
A. The Holy Spirt is never refered to as the "Angel of the Lord".
B. The "Angel" told Joseph that "for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit". (Matthew 1:20) Was the HS confused?
No, it was a messanger from God, not the HS.
The question could be asked this way: When Jesus was in Mary's womb, where was the Father?
1+1=1 is a Oneness doctrine. The word "Trinity" means "Three in unity". You have to have 3 to make a trinity. Also, the word trinity is a theological term, not a biblical term.
Your thoughts...

Here's a question for anyone that wants to answer.
Is there anywhere in scriptures, past, present or
future, that indicates that Jesus and or the Holy Spirit does anything of their own will, seperate from the Father's will?
No, but that is their position, to do the will of the Father. Yet another proof that there are three, not one.
