"The women have been permitted to vote. And in voting, someday they'll elect the wrong man."

women can only vote on issues in our church that pertain to the workingss in the church but never on doctrines
and who are yout to quote pentecostals when all you do is hate them
The Pentecostal church has been one of the leaders in perverting the scriptures that deal with women.
Aaron, why is it that women can not vote on doctrines in your church?

Mr. Bear:
The quote or prophecy dealt with women's suffrage, not the vote in church.

bear because we our whole church including the women have felt it best for men to handle doctrinal issues.

To say or generalize that ALL pentacostals believe like you say is just another misquoted untruth.
Women both in the BIBLE and in many denominations and pentacostal scholarly works are shown to have an exact equal footing as men.
In fact Jesus showed that in His treatment of women.
Apostle Pauls writings show that as "there is neither Male nor Female....but all are equal in Christ" God in Genesis called them by one name ADAM :male and feamale created He them and He called THEIR name Adam. God called them by the same name because they we One. A husband and wife are a TEAM.
TL Osborne a well known missionary evangelist who has "started more churches and preached to more people since Jesus in almost 100 countries" puts it well as he and his wife were "God's unbeatable Husband and Wife Team"
Jesus saved to the uttermost both men and women. Jesus did not do only half a work. Jesus did a 100% freeing of women from mens evil domination bondage. The survival of the fittest physical domineering still going on in some mideastern, and Asian cultures.
This ridiculous antiquated error that tries to get women to men and subordinate to men is both unBiblical and tyrany. Jesus came to set men and women FREE not put them in some ignorant bondage by chauvanistic pig headed domineering fearful men. The misinterpretation of scripture trying to keep women down is bondage and slavery.
The Bible teaches just the opposite.
Women are equal to men in every way both intellectually and spiritually. Physically most women do not have the same physical strength as men ONLY because of the hormone testorone difference. Women have ten times the pain endurance as a man.
The point is simple women and men are EQUAL in Gods eyes.
End this stupid neandrathal thinking error and subject.
Women have just as much right, intelligence, and abilities to rule and reign in life as any man.

Dr. T. L. Osborne is little more than a damnable fraud. I suggest you find a creditable source of inspiration. As to your position on equality, it rings hollow on the Word of God. Your philosophy is more in keeping with N.O.W.

Hello ATM, it isn't just the pentecostals...Today I was listening to NPR-one of your favorite stations I am sure;) and they were talking about a Baptist college who offers only ONE class for women-guess what it is "how to be a home maker" what a joke!!! They can't participate in anything else-only the men can go on to higher learning in that facility-WHACKY!!!!!
Most religions in general place stupid, outdated rules over women's heads-making men the final authority and the head of everything-Now we wonder why christian churches have so much drama within their walls...

Hello, Ms. Rachelengland:
It is ashame you didn't read the quote or more properly the prophecy. Mr. Branham was a crackpot pentecostal from years past. As I said to Bear, the prophecy concerned Women's Suffrage. You may look that movement up if you like. Generally speaking, it was a reference to women voting in political elections.
You are right. No one in their right mind would listen to NPR. NPR is the leading voice for Socialism, Secularism, Liberalism, Progressivism, Intellectualism, Humanism, Sataanism, or any other name you may choose. The problem is, if you are not one of them, you are not allowed to live.
I watched a program rejected by NPR recently. Muslims Against Jihad. Interesting?
As for Baptist, look up . . . forgot the name. It is a Baptist college in the Carolinas. I can't remeber his first name. Jones is the last name. Students are not allowed to leave the school grounds without a senior trustee present. When in town, men are not allowed to speak to women, women are not allowed to speak to men. And it goes down hill from there!
By the by, Baptist women have the right to vote in all church functions.

Bob Jones University- I am well aware of their non-sense...They also disagree with segregated marriage..so you see-each religious group has it's extremes...
As for the pentecostal women-if they are not allowed to make or be part of the decision making process within the congregation they attend-I believe they should take off their head coverings and leave-it is to say the least un-American!
Hi Arron-I have to disagree on that with you-all must have equality-the women do NOT want it that way as you say they do-they have just been brainwashed or on a lighter note brought up into thinking that way..sorry but it is true-by nature some folks would rather leave the decision making to others-BUT they should always have the choice to make a decision whenever they please...Rachel

Ms. Rachelengland:
Bob Jones is correct. For some reason the only name I could come up with was Jim (Jones). I would say that interracial marriages are local options. I had a young man who worked for me that was part of an interracial marriage. We traveled all over the South with little or no notice. However, when we went to Boston trouble began. No one in Boston would rent that young couple an apartment. Restaurants would not serve them if they sat together. Go figure!
Dr. Fredrick K.C. Price exposed pentecostalism Bible (Dake's Annotated Bible) for its many racial slurs.

ATM-do you feel some of the pentecostals have moved away from some of the old laws on their books?
Many groups see the harm that had first established them as a denomination and then make changes as they see fit.
I think what I have been doing all the years is confusing pentecostals-with charasmatics and non-denom churches such as the one I attended as a youth..

Quoting: ". . . pentecostals have moved away from some of the old laws on their books?"
End quote.
I would not call it 'moved'. Dr. Price gave a three year study entitled "Racism in the pentecostal Church." Just a quick example of how pentecostalism handled his claims. The Dake Family Publishers, owner of pentecostalism's Bible, denied the racial slurs in that Bible. However, they were willing to allow Dr. Leon Bible to rewrite Dake's removing the racial slurs that were not in Dake's. The Dake Family also failed to label the new Bible as revised, rewritten or re-released. The bottom line, pentecostalism did not deal with its problems, but rather buried them under the rug.
Pardon, my phone is ringing. Be right back.

You bring up an excellent point. Charismatic or more correctly, charism generally refers to glossolalia or divine healings. pentecostalism, a religion that practices or claims these gifts are wholy different entities. Charisma has been practiced by every religion from the beginning of time. Here in the U.S., many Native American religions practiced charisma. I am sure if you have watched any of many cowboy movies, you have seen the indians go into a sweat lodge. Then in a self-induced hypnotic state, begin chanting or glossolalia.
The Roman church has always had its relics and shrines used for healings. There are many recorded instances of glossolalia being practiced by the Roman Church. In 1868 (?), Mary Baker Eddy or Mary Eddy Baker (I always get that name wrong!) had a vision from God, giving her the sercet to 'faith healing.' Micheal Landon in his "Little House" series did a two hour special on the fraudent side of charism entitled "Faith Healer".
pentecostalism, on the other hand, is based on sensationalism. Charism is simply a means to an end for that religion. pentecostalism was invented on the heels of the Great Earthquake of 1906. I will post my second fav pentecostal quotes soon. It, too, should give you a laugh.
I do believe I gave you more than you asked for. Enough on my part already even. We agree many, including those caught-up in pentecostalism, confused that religion with charisma.

Well, you see ATM,
Either God is the author of miracles or He isn't. Either satan is counterfeiting them or he isn't.
If both God has genuine miracles, and satan has "legitimate" counterfiets (magic/occult) it stands to reason that both God and satan have been displaying their works since the beginning of man.
So of course, there has been genuine miracles and magic since man stepped on the earth.
Egypt dealt with Moses performing miracles and the "seers" performing magic.
It is the same today. The truth of the matter, is that God does perform miracles. You seem to make the mistake of thinking that only satan performs magic.
Until you experience a miracle, you won't be qualified to know the difference.

Let us see who knows what, shall we? At five-years-old, the doctor said I would not live three months. I retired the first time in 1989. Perhaps, I should have asked the doctor to define 'months'. I have been dead for one-hundred-three-minutes on an operating table. I have been pronounced dead three times in an ICU.
Oh! by the by, I have been around the world seven times and to more than one hundred countries and all fifty states. EH?
Tell us about your "Miracles."
