Hello! The forums are rather quiet. The owners of this website faced a money crunch ( they don't hand out flowers at airports) and were forced to go to subscription. This lost many participants, including me. Believe me, if I wasn't 2 pennies away from the street I would gladly subscribe.
It's open again if people simply spend some time clicking on the advertising.
The users are an eclectic bunch. I myself am by avocation a archaeologist.
My family is the usual assortment of 'generic Christians' who put up a tree at Christmas and buy stale jelly beans at Easter.Oh, I do have a conservative jewish aunt by blood. I myself, through my degree and reading such notables as Joseph Campbell, Alan Watts and many others have been exposed to and studied many mainstream and cult groups from a 6 month stint in a Soto Zen monastery to getting in a shouting match with Anton Zander la Vey.
I am now by personal choice a member of the 'Eastern' Orthodox expression of Christianity.
People can get hurt very easilly by cults and even more incidious, individuals within a 'accepted' religion who use cult tactics on people.
Again, welcome. I have to go down to hte Post office. The la Rouchies are there.I have a huge letter 'N' on my card table. I block the la Rouchies from view with it. people walk up and ask me ' Is Nothing scared?'
I reply 'Nope, not if it means well and can handle examination.'
Hey, Gregory....what's up? Decided to re-join the party now that the beer is free?
Hehe....glad you're here.
