The book is a http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/wink.gifNOVEL.

- Enough said.

- A book of fantasy and tall tales it is.

LIES from the Devil, to persuade the simple
minded to believe it as Truth, would be a crime.
- Insert free will 'here'.

T/F - Pick one

- To choose Hollywood over GOD, is plain silly.

- Star wars and this book have much in common.

A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away…

- Both are Novels.
Both are based on Fiction.

-----------------------------------------------
novel

a book-length fictional story usually involving relationships between characters, their emotional crises and events concerning them.

i would not wish to be this man,
on Judgment day.

Taking real People, and changing certain Truths into a LIE, to confuse people,
- is what satan does....

= Rotten Fruit.

1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord [are] over the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord [is] against them that do evil.

-------------------------------------

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2Ti 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Don, Do you believe 2 Esdras and the Book of Enoch are scripture? And how about Raymond Capt's books on the Zodiak?

Every "fact" in the DC claimming to be historical, is actually proven false.

For example: The 80 other gospels are in fact "Gnostic", written some time after the 2nd century. The four that we have in our bible are first century writings:

Matthew and John were with Christ.

Luke was a a contemporary with Paul

Mark was a contemporary with Peter.

The Gnostic gospels do not have any comparison to the content of that wich has stood the strict criteria known as "cannonization".

2nd Esdras and Enoch were left out on purpose. While they may hold som historical information, they did not hold up the strict criteria required for cannonization.

One more thing, for the benefit of those who may not know, Gnostism believed that "all matter was evil". Therefore, Christ could not be divine in human form.

Gnostics were very popular in the Greco-Roman world, and many were led astray by their teachings.

As Christians, do we want to believe the writings of Gnostics, some 200-300 years after Christ? Or do we trust the first hand accounts that we have in our canonized scriptures?

The choice is not hard.

Gnostics were a big let down to me. I asked questions and apparently that is not a good thing. Or I asked the wrong questions. I thought they would be a fountain of information, but they were drinking from muddy water and the puddles were full of flies so I could not drink there. I took with me only saddness that I had looked so forward to learning their wisdom, and found none.

Godchild asks the most vague and imprecise questions. She asks if II Esdras and Enoch are "Scripture". 'Scripture' can mean the following: 1.
1. A sacred writing or book.
2. A passage from such a writing or book.
2. The sacred writings of the Bible. Often used in the plural. Also called Holy Scriptures.
3. scripture A statement regarded as authoritative.

It would be more precise for her to ask if they are canonical. But even that opens up issues. What canon? What work called Enoch?

However, since the term II Esdras applies to a variety of writings and treatment by various Christians bodies (see below*) Godchild's questions are too vague and imprecise for anyone to address.

*In the Septuagint and for Eastern Orthodox Christians, 2 Esdras refers to the combination of Ezra and Nehemiah. In the Greek LXX it is referred to as Greek: Εσδρας Β′

For Russian Orthodox Christians, 2 Esdras refers to the book known as 1 Esdras in the rest of Eastern Orthodoxy and by Protestants.

In Roman Catholicism, following the numbering of the Vulgate, 2 Esdras refers to Nehemiah.

For Protestants, 2 Esdras often refers to the book known as 4 Esdras in the Vulgate, or 3 Esdras in Russian Orthdoxy, or Izra Sutu'el in Ethiopian Orthodoxy.
