Here is the request…
I’d like to speak to people who have a loved one currently in a cult. If you or anybody you know has personal experience with this, please contact me.
I am doing research for a potential documentary project for a major cable broadcaster that intends to focus on the families that cult members often cut off or leave behind. This is just an informational phone conversation - there’s no obligation to participate any further. I want to both educate myself about current cult activity & the effects they have on families, and make contacts in case this project does go forward.
Please pass this on to anyone who might have insights or contacts they’re willing to share. We hope to produce a project that will raise awareness of cult activity in this country and show the challenges that families face when they have a loved one in a cult.
Please email or private message me with:
1. The cult member’s relation to you
2. Their age
3. The group they are involved with
4. A brief history of what happened, including when the person joined, if you have had contact with them or wish to, if you have seen them, and what the current status is.
5. If you yourself have had any experience with their group or any other cult-like group.
