What is Enlightenment?

Biblically Speaking Light is an expressive allegory for Truth and pure truth is pure light.

Truth is simply another Name for Jesus Christ the Living Word of God.

We should all know that on the Mount of transfiguration shortly before His torture crucifixion and death Jesus Christ was seen with Moses and Elijah transfigured

Makes sense that the Father of Lights would have Sons of Light

Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Mar 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh [with him] Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

In these two cases the Father of Lights was seen with two IMPORTANT Sons of Light. One being the Lawgiver with the other man of God His Prophet mouthpiece.

Yes, Jesus was IS God come in the Flesh
and if you be in Christ and He in you then you can transfigure as well.
Bet you didnt know this (lol)

And it is my own conclusion that when Moses and Elijah came near unto Christ all three were seen as men made of pure Light. Thats why Peter thought there was three Gods and wanted to make tabernacles (mobile temples) for all three men.

Mat 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Mar 9:5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Luk 9:33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said

A BIG duh BOO-BOO! http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/smile.gif

Jesus did have the most trouble teaching Peter the big lug nut commercial fisherman (lol)

Thats probably why He always kept Peter near by as close to His right hand as possible with only John the young lad in between them, mainly because John was the youngest to watch over and protect.

Jesus loved all the disciples pretty much the same it is just the most vulnerable that He kept nearest to Him with the strongest most trusted on the outer fringes of the mobile group

With the most self reliant and trusted carrying the money bag (shepherds bagpipes) and still walking on the outermost either far ahead or far behind sends an assuring signal to the rest and speaks volumes to the others about how far and fast the Master teacher can watch over and protect His keep in an instant.

Makes sense to me, anyway thats how I would hopefully do it

God Bless

PEACE

Enlightenment is when you see black flashing
fleur-de-lis symbols in the sky, at least according to someone known for writing sappy posts.

"Enlightenment is when you see black flashing

Enlightement is letting someone in on the truth, the opposite of what the Bush administration does.

P.S you are one weird sob.

I am glad,
such a Smart-aleck like you is smart (stupid) enough to go around internet flaming a sitting President and His cabinet when the Country is in a state of War

I encourage to vigorously continue in your endeavor

and perhaps, should there be a another 911 type attack your name will have been long included in the next major round-up (throw away the key and forget them) list

You truly deserve everything coming to you, but that is only because you are such a TROLL and I feel you are evil

Good bye Mr. Smith #342996

biblically speaking, this is one correct way of explaining enlightment. it doesn't necessarily have to be some kind of physical/metaphysical mystical look as though it is light the actual bright sunny look itself. hindu teachings will explain that this body is not your real self, but in turn, just a material suit of your real spiritual self. in turn, this transfigure is explained as self realization, and can only be attained through the transcending of the material ego through your acceptance of truth, either from other people, from your natural spiritual feelings or whatever other way truth is felt through the real self. buddhists will teach enlightment as a sort of self realization through the mind, in which you know your real self through transcending the ego of your mind to the acceptance of everything with compassion, and not merely contracting, as though something is spiritual, and something else is not, but to know everything as one in the dharma. there are many different ways of explaining this, but only you can explain enlightment through your own experiential realization or yourself, because everyone experiences and sees something else than every single other person and living thing does every single second of the day. spiritualist christians will tell us that the soul is perfect and we should look at everyone else in the world as no less than perfect souls.

"You truly deserve everything coming to you, but that is only because you are such a TROLL and I feel you are evil "

in response to this, i believe that everyone deserves everything coming to them, because everything happens for this reason to develop your truth. every major religion will explain love as the greatest spiritual strength, so it is important for us all to act in nothing but love.

I didn't totally understand your post, but have to agree with this here. http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/happy.gif

Yeah, sure. I guess "acting in love" for Stage Detractor is:

Bearing false witness.

Fabricating and spreading rumors meant to harm others.

Deliberately misrepresenting the teachings of a Church and Pastor you don't agree with, in order to hurt that Church.

Seeking out and joining a group of misfits that claim to be "cultbusting" but actually have NEVER "busted" (i.e brought down)ANY cult, but rather try to discredit any ministry that doesn't fit their own unique interpretations of the Bible, like Frankie's explanation of Genesis 3:15, which to him means stomping snake eggs.

Oh yeah, Stage Detractor is all about love, love of self, that is.http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

I can't wait to witness some more of her acts of love.

Everything I've said is the truth, excepting a couple of small typos and errors I corrected myself. The big question is why you fear my words if they're lies? Doesn't truth always prevail eventually?

That's about the 10th time you started a post to me and then interjected some diatribe about snake eggs. And? I haven't seen any reference to snake eggs made by Franklin. My guess is that he said something in sarcasm that you honed it on and are now using it in an attempt to discredit him. So what is it you want from me? Did you want to fess up or something?

...

15"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

is to me talking about the descendants of the serpent's. Baby snakes that are hatched from serpent eggs. Duh!?! That human's will crush them under our feet and bruise their heads. No symbolism, secret meaning there.

and then he decides to defend it:

...Jews believe the first interpretation. It was MY earliest understanding as a child. And I stated that.

...In the real Christian church there are two interpretations of Genesis 3:15. A literal one and the figurative one.

It's actually quite entertaining...

Here's another thread where Stage Detractor fled from, after being shown how WRONG she was!

It also has the extra added benefit of showing how GOOFY Frankie is!http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

So we have Stage Detractor trying to bail out Frankie, a bona fide nutcase, and by doing so she sinks her own ship!http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif

Again!http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/rofl.gif
