What is Enlightenment?
Biblically Speaking Light is an expressive allegory for Truth and pure truth is pure light.
Truth is simply another Name for Jesus Christ the Living Word of God.
We should all know that on the Mount of transfiguration shortly before His torture crucifixion and death Jesus Christ was seen with Moses and Elijah transfigured
Makes sense that the Father of Lights would have Sons of Light
Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mar 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh [with him] Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
In these two cases the Father of Lights was seen with two IMPORTANT Sons of Light. One being the Lawgiver with the other man of God His Prophet mouthpiece.
Yes, Jesus was IS God come in the Flesh
and if you be in Christ and He in you then you can transfigure as well.
Bet you didnt know this (lol)
And it is my own conclusion that when Moses and Elijah came near unto Christ all three were seen as men made of pure Light. Thats why Peter thought there was three Gods and wanted to make tabernacles (mobile temples) for all three men.
Mat 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Mar 9:5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Luk 9:33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said
A BIG duh BOO-BOO! http://www.factnet.org/discus/clipart/smile.gif
Jesus did have the most trouble teaching Peter the big lug nut commercial fisherman (lol)
Thats probably why He always kept Peter near by as close to His right hand as possible with only John the young lad in between them, mainly because John was the youngest to watch over and protect.
Jesus loved all the disciples pretty much the same it is just the most vulnerable that He kept nearest to Him with the strongest most trusted on the outer fringes of the mobile group
With the most self reliant and trusted carrying the money bag (shepherds bagpipes) and still walking on the outermost either far ahead or far behind sends an assuring signal to the rest and speaks volumes to the others about how far and fast the Master teacher can watch over and protect His keep in an instant.
Makes sense to me, anyway thats how I would hopefully do it
God Bless
PEACE
