Came here (to this site) because I grew up with WoF teachings and I was looking up another teaching. It's been a number of years and I've healed of those teachings but I know I am very wary of teachings that may not be Biblical. I've been very blessed by Calvary Chapel. I do know though that pastors are fallible no matter the church. I've attended four different CCs now and we've had nothing like is described here. There have been no shunnings and I've not even heard it suggested. The churches I've attended have just been very Bible-based which has been a very nice change from the WoF garbage. I do know though that God puts us into different churches (and denominations) so I don't worry much if somebody doesn't care for CC. Just stay alert for false teachings and watch to make sure 'the Fruit' is not rotten, so to speak. Also, if anybody reading this attends a CC, this applies as well. ALWAYS test everything. I cannot stress this enough. Deception enters our lives far too easily. I've talked to too many Christians taken in by things like The Purpose Driven Life, Joel Osteen, Prayer of Jabez and all that nonsense.
