View Full Version : Yet Another Poll

So much has been said about Pastor Thomas's collector cars, hot Mustangs and his Harley Davidsons that I couldn't resist submitting another poll. This question also applies to the other pastors. From what I read Thomas has the most fancy cars etc. Paine is a close second.

I cannot comment on secondary or tertiary pastors.

Rather than calling it a demonic destraction, why not call it a "major sign of hypocracy"? Which it is.

I believe they are expensive props to support his confabulated grandiose identity.

Babies are "satanic distractions."

Truly, I agree with turningjapanese and bluewater2. I think the CFC Pastors' opulance is distracting them from what they perceive to be their mission in life. Yes, it is hypocracy at its finest.

Thomas calls so many things "demonic distractions"--usually families, children, wives.

I'm being a bit tongue in cheek. ;)

They regard themselves as "so important", that of course they are ENTITLED to the BEST. (ie, "souped up", in Ed's own words.) They do not view themselves humbly, as Jesus did. (Although they may feign humility if needed.) In reality, they are quite the opposite. Mother Theresa, Ghandi and the Dalai Lama come to mind when I think of true humility and Godliness. Did they ever brag about possessions, namedrop, or boast of false accomplishments? Were they ever verbally cruel, even to those that were outwardly persecuting them? Could Mother Theresa herself "turn lukewarm," and permit a child to be molested? Then lie about it?

CFC's leaders are on pedestals of their own creation. Overly-significant in their own minds, they view their possessions as rightful rewards for their mere existence, deserving of admiration and awe. Plainly, they are ego-centric. Their self-created organization reflects this--- their "visions" and "missions" have world-wide implications; deserving of priority and subservience. Yet WHAT have they ACTUALLY accomplished?

Anyone who doesn't buy into the charade can "pack their bags and leave," because who wants a heckler (non-believer) in the audience? Those that were once valued become "backslidden traitors" when they catch on and vacate. Because that is a major blow to the ego, you know.

Ponder this, in paradox format: Who has the power here, your actor or the audience?

Financially, who is "in control"? Those with a guaranteed paycheck, or those without?

In human terms, exactly who is the Master, who is the Servant?

Peace to all, tj.

CFCMI sounds a lot like what a friend of mine calls a "Health and Wealth Church". They believe that possessing health and wealth somehow means that they are holy and God rewards holy people with health and wealth. Poor, sickly, suffering people are unholy.

You are only "partially" correct... this is true, but ONLY for the SENIOR leadership! <sigh>

Personally, I don't believe Health and Wealth is sign of holiness, either. I see it as an Missunderstanding of Christianity--possibly a deliberate one. A cultic missinterpretation.

Sadly, most underlings in CFCMI have little of either.

CFCMI seems to be having trouble making ends meet, these days. I wonder if the pastors would ever sell off some of their, cars, motorcycles and other $tuff to pay the bills?

I wonder if these pastors would sell some of their distractions. I doubt the other Staffers have anything to contribute. On $20 a week what excess stuff can one own to sell off?

:DThis is not the "Roman" Bashing board! This is the CFC bashing board! Please stay on topic or take your Anti-Catholic rhetoric to the appropriate board(s).

TATM:

What do you really know about CFCMI? If you wish to post about them do not bring other Churches into the mix, you are muddying the water. I bet you to belong to CFCMI or it wouldn't strike such a nerve with you.

We should not disuss Catholicsm on these boards. Other posters would rather read about that elsewhere. I, for one.

I don't know your game, BUT I would rather that you didn't spam these boards. Put your anti-"Roman" posts on the appropriate board. We can start a new thread. I did so in the past, but you didn't post there. (see: "General Beefs Against the Catholic Church")

As for this conversation on Catholicism, until you post on the proper boards I have nothing more to say to you. It's clear you have nothing to say about CFCMI, either.

Don't you have any friends you can phone?

I agree, Mr. Bramble is beginning to get his one-liners in place. Unfortunatley, his one-liner is the only thing of consequence in any of his postings.

To answer your original question, CFCMI is a lot like the United Pentecostal Church. It has almost nothing in common with the Roman Catholic Church. Founder, L. R. Davis was a United Pentecostal minister. If you are in earnest want to learn more go to: www.abusivechurches.com (http://www.abusivechurches.com)

If you wish to discuss Catholicism visit: "Catholic Sects" on this board. I will meet you there. (Or as YOU LIKE TO PUT IT, "THE ROMAN CHURCH") LOL

Mr. Bramble, tell pray what good would it do to go to the Roman church sect to discuss the catholic church? Are you suggesting the two are somehow related?

Mr. ATM, what, pray tell, do you see as the difference between the Roman Catholic church and the Roman churches? And what do either of them have to do with CFCMI? I am here for an education.
