Is CFCMI Merging With Other Churches?

Looking at the CFCMI website I wonder from the title of a sermon there on audio/video if they are planning to merge with Potter's House aka: Open Door Ministries. Does anyone know anything about this?

No, that was just the name of a sermon. The Potter's House would never allow CFC to ride on their coat-tails. I believe that the Potter's House is a legitimate church, founded by a man that truly serves God and is genuinely concerned for the spiritual well-being of humanity. (unlike CFC, whose only concern is the almighty $)

Just look at their explosive growth, their accomplishments and the enthusiasm within that congregation, and compare that to the current state of CFCMI.

But CFCMI keeps professing it will be the largest "Jesus' Name Ministry" in the US...yeah, right! Even the congregation-the few that remain- giggles when they say that. Just listen to their sermons....if you can get past the sucky music. (I've been to third-grade music concerts that sound way better than CFC.)

Maybe they SHOULD take a look at the Potter's House, and learn a thing or two about how to really minister to souls; not just rape them. Get real and give it up, CFCMI!

I agree and know that they will not merge. It would be scary if they did. Even Quixtar thinks CFCMI is corrupt--from one blog I read.

Regarding Potter's House aka The Door aka La Puerta of Arizona founded by Wayman O Mitchell. Be very careful. Some of their practices are indistinquishable from CFCMI. They seem to corral single men into communal housing and sent them out to beat the pavement. Early in my research into CFCMI I stumbled upon 'Christian Fellowship Ministries' probably on www.rickross.com. The testimonies of ex-members seems uncanny even if both 'churches' had different founders. Please also see www.geocities.com/life_after_potters_house.

Both 'churches' have the 2 x 2 thing going.

Regarding the sheer size of Potter's House/CFM/The Door consider the size of the Church of Scientology. They are now considered a criminal organization in Germany and other European countries.

Regarding any sexual abuse I do not remember if that was one of the CFM problems.

This is the only Potter's House I am familiar with; the one founded by TD Jakes. He has a mega-church in Dallas.

The only merger going on is the merging of all the USA congregations to Norfolk, Virginia. This is more out of damage control than anything else.
